Just to summarize all the conflicting reports from Outpost CSRs:

1.) Same bundle, same price. $360 before shipping, available Saturday.
2.) Same bundle, higher price. $499 before shipping, available Saturday.
3.) 360 Premium, Kameo, PGR3 and Perfect Dark Zero, $519 before shipping, available Saturday.
4.) Same bundle, higher price. $449 before shipping, available now if you ordered the original deal. *NEW*

This excludes the nebulous "sweet deal" or "better deal" reports.
$360
Possible price mistake. Even if you don't like the games you could sell them on ebay and make about $110, making the premium bundle $250 + shipping. Shipping for me was about $11.

Have fun!
Get this one, sell the 3 games, get Gears of War and have $$$ left over.
Here's my math for if I sold the games on eBay after fees and stuff... (I can't trade in at Walmart, did a few times already)

Saint's Row - probably could get $40-45 for this
Dead Rising - $35-40
Test Drive - $30
= ~$125

And then there's shipping... I don't it's much, let's say $5. (No Fry's here so no tax)

So in the end, you only save like 20 bucks and have to go through the procecss of selling. I think I made my decision! Prove me wrong, bitchEZ...

I just got home, and I'm about to call. With all the developments during the day, the deal coming back at the higher price and all, I'm sort of feeling like... I don't have a "leg" to stand on! *Bada-bing* :)

But seriously, I don't think I'm going to get anywhere. I'm still going to give it the old college try.

lets see...

for me they charge shipping + tax. so it would come up to around $500 or so
you sell all those games for $125, you're paying $375 for a premium then. still more expensive than the $350 or so-4% fat wallet from overstock.com ( eventually around $334). but if you dont get taxed then its about even
where is 360 for 340 shipped on overstock?
there's a 12% coupon for new customers (i think you can just change your e-mail)...also a 10% for everyone. and if you do it through fatwallet.com, it has 4% cashback...

12% of $400 = 48

then 4% of $352 = 14

then shipping is only a couple dollars, so total is around $340-345

I just gonna trade-in my Xbox to EB.
"Get a Microsoft Xbox 360 System Pro for $319.99 or a Microsoft Xbox 360 Core for $219.99 with trade on an Xbox System"
i think that is pretty good deal for me.

I just got off the phone with customer service, I asked to be transferred to the store manager. The lady went and "checked", and told me that he's in a meeting. She asked if she could take down my information so he could give me a call back. I told her that's fine but if I don't hear back from him tomorrow I'm going to call back.

This took 45 minutes.

Not much progress today... :(
So is this "The Deal" or should we still expect another deal this weekend like they have been telling us all?
I think there'll be a better deal on friday because if you notice it says 10/11 thru 10/12 so I'm guessing Friday they'll be a different deal.

Yeah, maybe a 10% off everything on outpost? Since its supposed to be an anniversary sale throughout the whole store.
I hear ya, and I don't disagree.

But what if it isn't an error? What if they did this on purpose to get the massive attention they have now? Everyone on Fat wallet, slick deals, and CAG are going to be watching that now, driving a huge amount of traffic to that site. Unfortunately all we have is their word.

If it ain't bait and switch, then it could be deceptive advertising.

Regardless though, I have a sour taste in my mouth after this one. I'll just get systems at best buy, where I can get the replacement plan and walk it back into the local store if there is a problem.
There's no way it wasn't an error. 360 is roughly the wholesale cost for the system. There's no way they'll take losses like that. It's beyond what you'll see even on Black Friday unless there's some sort of $100 price drop, and even then, the system would sell itself in that case.

If there is an Xbox 360 price drop when the PS3 comes out, I'll gladly walk past all the PS3 campers to get me some microsoft love.
Ignore list +1.
You're ignoring him for trying to post a deal? You're an fucking douchebag. That's why no one likes you or cares about anything you post.

Thank you Zewone, I really don't give a ...uck if that @ss hole put me in ignore list/
btw, why is this not a deal ?
Oh and FYI the deal is dead and no longer even works so mods you can go ahead and lock this thread.
Actually it is still working. At least as of 7:49 pm CT.

Because it doesn't work. Go and add it to your cart. See if it works.

Anyone if it they'll actually have a deal for $360 within the next few days?

this deal was $359, no i am not shiting you, this past monday. a guy at work ordered and got his confirmed email today. apprently it was a misprint that they honored. i wish i wasnt in a meeting.
It would be a decent deal if they didn't tax me 35 bucks. fuck outpost.com
Can't really say that's their fault since that's the law. But yeah, totally agree. It'd be about as good a deal as you'd find on a 360 if I wasn't in Texas. Though the Overstock for $340 route is certainly not bad in itself. Don't have to go through the hassle of Ebaying any of the three games you don't want.

There's a whole thread about people who got in on that deal, but then Outpost cancelled everyone's orders. So either you're a liar, or more likely, your coworker is.

you are right, i called him. i thought it was a bit of a stretch, but they offered him the revised pricing, which he took.
liar i am not, gulible, maybe.

mine got canceled im kinda pissed....so i wrote a hatefull email and a copy of my reciept too so maybe ill get the deal...we will see

That $450 bundle is worth it if you're interested in the games. Even with Dead Rising on sale at BB next week, it's still a great deal with the other two games.

Someone mentioned the EB trade-in deal. That's what I'm doing today. $319.99 when you trade in your old Xbox.

Well, since I've given up, I'm going to say this once and only once and be on my merry way...

fuck Outpost/Frys.

Yes, it's gone again. Shoot, with all that news on Monday I was actually hoping for the $360 price. I guess I'm still getting a Wii this year.
It would be a decent deal if they didn't tax me 35 bucks. fuck outpost.com
I think that's the government's fault, not Outpost's.

is this deal worth it? it would be around 463$ for me. It like buying the 360 + a game with no tax.

also is there any chance of the killer deal on Sat ? Or was that just a cover up.

I'd honestly wait until next month. Microsoft's gotta come with something to keep people from plunking down all that cash on a Wii or PS3. If you've waited this long, another month won't kill you. We must all practice patience right now.

Yeah, it's called Gears of War.

Or they might start bundling PGR3 free. Whoop-die-fucking-doo.

Whoop-dee-doo is right, if you have ever seen this thing running in 720p.

Wowsers.

Not really worth it anymore. With tax and shipping it is about $505 for me. It is equivalent to 1 free game, if you buy all the games for full price. The amazon deal with 1 free game (if they get Dead Rising working) is better for me since I don't get charged tax or shipping. Then I will just buy Saints Row and Test Drive when they drop in price. Either that or I will use some of my Blockbuster trade in credit to get the 360.

LOL at the "bait and switch" people

let me know how those FTC complaints go

(bitching at customer support doesn't count because even complete idiots can get their way if they shout enough)

It is a nice deal but I do wonder what we will see as the PS3 launch gets closer (and hell, even Black Friday).

Not worth it for me either since I wasn't interested in the three games anyway. At this point, after selling the three games, I would have gone through less hassle just buying it from Overstock. I'll just wait for a system price drop.

Overstock.com is definitely the best deal

in this fry's deal w/ tax+ shipping you pay about $500

overstock.com; i got the prem system for $335

got nba2k6/fifa 06/table tennis/nhl 2k6/PD:zero for $75

saints row: $40
Lego Star Wars II: $40

so for the premium system + 7 games = about $490 or so

i went ahead and bit on the deal since i didnt get charged tax and shipping was only $9, so it came out to 459 and some change... not a bad deal.
