Wow that Atari thing with 40 games looks pretty cool for $5. I picked up the wireless mrs pacman from walmart for $10 a while back. I played it that day and it's been sitting there ever since. I had to use the batteries for something else and ya know...... :D It was pretty good though and easily worth $5.
I also picked up the wireless Ms Pacman for $10 at Walmart. I actually got a lot of play time from it because my suitemates and I were very competitive about highscores. Worth every AA battery. :D

How come they can't even give credit to our forums? The OP at slickdeals is getting all these rep points and it wasn't even his! Punk.

thanks OP, I picked up Menacer and Spongebob for me and my daughter. Maybe you're all used to it, but it's my first time ordering from Gamestop and I find the "free shipping" with $2.99 "handling" weak...

It was my first time too. I was kinda bummed out when I saw that but my order shows "Handling (No additional shipping fee $0.00"

Why is this deal dead if these can still be picked up in store? I was looking for this topic in CAG Deals and couldn't even find it, had to go searching for it and it shows up here.

The page doesn't work for me, if there sold out shouldn't they say backordered? Looks like I'll be going to pick these up with a fifty/fifty chance of being instock at my b&m!

Picked up 2 flashbacks today (one for me one for a gift)
and the menacer, the atari paddle games, and the Street Fighter 2 player set

Really good deal... dont see why this has been moved though

Picked up Space Invaders, Street Fighter (w/ 2 controllers) and two of the Spider-man all at $4.99 with 50% off. Each for $2.50!

went into my gamestop yesterday, picked up Street Fighter 2, World poker tour, and Ms. Pac Man wireless for 5 bucks each
Crap, someone tell me how the Street Fighter set is.

And it's Street Fighter II, rite? Not Street Fighter?
I was thinking about picking that one up too if I can find it. As far as I can tell, it's the Sega Genesis version of SFII: Championship Edition. The graphics are a little poorer than on the Genesis and the sound is probably in mono. It's a great deal though for $5, especially when you have friends over and time to kill.

i have been playing all morning with my friend... and for 5 dollars, it is a steal! Ghouls and Ghosts is also on the game as an added bonus, another awesome game!

Not sure if these are mentioned in the thread, here are some others:

Some Barbie princess game
Wheel of Fortune
the big texas hold em poker thingy that has 6 handsets
not the atari flashback, but an atari one with a paddle controller
Some games like mrs pac-man that have 5 of the games, and an extra key thing that adds games

Last night, I went to two Gamestops and an EB and found the following:

First Gamestop:
Flashback 2

Second Gamestop ($2.50 each):
Space Invaders
Outrun

EB:
Spiderman w/Gamekey
Star Wars w/Gamekey
Ms. Pac-Man w/Gamekey

Called two other EBs, but they didn't carry the PnP games. Gamestop stores seemed more consistent in that regard.

Is 50% YMMV on these things? Sorry if this has been already asked/posted, but for $2.50 I would definitely consider picking up Street Fighter II, Outrun, and Menacer even though I have the Genesis versions already. Also the wireless ms. pacman sounds tempting to buy, even though I already have the wired version and many other ports of those games.

Yeah, the 50% off is very YMMV. I think it just depends on how desperate the store is to get rid of them. Of the two Gamestop stores I went to, only one of them had them 50% off.

My gamestop had Outrun, Fantastic Four, Madden (1 gamepad), Atari Flashback (might have been Flashback 2), World Poker Tour and a few more that I can't remember:p

The ebgames in 83rd and 3rd ave in NYC still have tons of wireless pacman,2 stars wars, few Nickelodeon and lots of spongebob

I got 3. Let me say Spongebob is great for the son. Ms. Pac-man wireless is a sweet little collection of old arcade games for $5 and Outrun sucks. Pole Position, which is one of the games that comes with Ms. Pac-man, holds up alot better than Outrun for the Genesis.

Agree, outrun is horrible game. The game is boring as hell.It just a basic video car game moving left, right and up.The major downside is that you only get one game unlike the others

I never played the genesis version before...and I was shocked to see the picture.

Is genesis this bad? or is my memory gone bad?
anyway, really bad purchase, even for 5 bucks.

same thing with the menacer. Very decent idea and high quality product, but the games suck. Actually it is also just a single genesis game was integrated. The original genesis game already have these "6" games. (I would rather called them 6 different play mode)

THe really one worth getting is Ms Pacman. Atari flashback2 may be good for someone who is fan of the really old gaming. For me, the sound and graphics are just unbearable.

I think the problem with Outrun is that it's that 2019 version and not the original arcade version or the Genesis port of the original arcade version. I would have rather seen them port the original instead.

got my games today but I havent tried them out yet. Now I need to get 4 more batteries because I thought it just required two for each game.

Wireless Ms Pac Man is great and there is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to using the stick to control her but it shouldn't take too long to get used to. I really like the retro styling of the unit itself. The only real downside is that the sucker requires 8 AA batteries!!

I purchased a 48-pack of batteries from Costco for around $14 so that should last me for a while. I've been playing on and off for a total of around an hour and a half and the initial 8 that I've put in have not run out yet.

Buy rechargeable batteries or use an ac adapter to save money on batteries.I only use batteries on things that uses very little power such as clock, fire or smoke detector.

I was thinking about doing that, but there were caution signs all over the insert warning against using rechargable batteries. :(

They're back in stock! I was looking to see if they had Outrun 2006 listed for PC and saw that they had Outrun 2019 in stock.

Thanks for the heads up! I ordered all 7 different ones that they had in stock. Dont forget to add a $2 PS1 used game to your order to get FREE shipping with the 'Saver' code. ;)

Just this one... I got it in store. Here's the breakdown:

Space invaders: OK, although I prefer the Atari 2600 one (2 player cooperative!)
Colony 7: You probably won't play this more than one. Like an Atari (imagic?) title called Atlantis - it seems this was the original.
Lunar rescue: It's.. somewhat interesting, but not really addictive: avoid obstacles by moving right/left / slowing down, land on the landing pads, avoid obstacles by moving/firing, dock with moving target.
Qix: a good game, but doesn't really work here - the sound's horrid and the stick isn't that suited for 4-directional movement (this is the only game that requires more than left/right).
Phoenix: A gem: easily worth the $5 by itself.

Feel free to check klov.com to see the arcade versions.

I will definatly avoid Outrun. Many people agree that it doesn't even come close to the classic version. Some of the TV games such as Spongebob or Pac Mac you might prefer getting them in stores. The main reason is that some the following games come with extra key while other version doesn't come with one. When I order my pac man online. I didn't came with a extra key compare to the other pacman I saw a few days ago from gamestop/eb.The TV games are still pretty easy to find in NYC.Street fighters and atari flashback 2 are pretty hard to find here.
