Battlefield 2: Modern Combat - Gen. Discussion

Whats up with lagging out all of the sudden. Last night my friends was lagging out now i am and it pisses me off. My pph has dropped from 92 to 72
 
Is it just me or does the EA server kind of suck when it comes to the functioning of the headset? I can't tell you how many times I have been playing the game and I can't hear anybody, they can't hear me, or the little speaker box thing doesn't pop up when I try to talk.

Make sure you're holding X while you talk, if not then it's doing proximity voice. They patched the voice issues last week and it's been good for me, I dunno why it's still messing up for you.

I'm starting a room tonight around 9 central, so let's get some more BF2 in tonight guys!
 
Alright, well I actually played only for a few minutes yesterday after not playing for about a week and it did seem to work better. I'm going to my bro's in about an hour or less. I'll be using his gamertag which is buschbeer311. I'll probably play from about 2ish to 5 or 6 eastern time. Send me a message if you want to play.
 
I'd be up for playing some this week but I can't tonight because I am trying to finish the last two levels of PDZ co-op with a friend of mine.

If anyone is playing any other time during the week send me an invite.
 
played a little and I kept losing connection. It always seems that right before you lose connection a bunch of people start leaving the room.
 
I should be getting it from Gamefly in the next day or two. So, if any of you want, go ahead and send me a friend invite so that I can play with some of you online.
 
I have it but I wish it were like the PC version a bit more, why do APCs only hold 2 people? And why aren't there jets on the larger maps? I wish it had more players for it or use of the xbox live servers instead of the crap ass EA servers.

I'm copping this game tommorow as part of the buy 2 get 1 free deal from gamestop (also getting Oblivion and Project Gotham Racing 3).

I won't be on Xbox Live daily till I get back to campus, but I play from my friend's connection somtimes.
 
I'm going to be playing BF2 off and on all day today if anyone wants to join me. Just send me a message or whatever.

I was hooked on the demo and I just got it. I haven't played Multiplayer yet but the campain mode is kicking my ass. I suck being a sniper.
 
Does anyone feel like bringing back BF2? It's wicked sweet if you're with a group of friends/cool people. Kind of like a night once a week or so we get things going? I can't for the life of me remember if it allows clans/guilds or whatever your preference of calling a video game team is. But if it does, I totally suggest getting a CAG clan going, if there isn't one already? What do you guys think? Wanna give it a go?

Even though the demo is down from Marketplace, the servers for it are still up and you can almost always find a full game. Good times.

I didn't realize that the demo was taken down. I guess that shows how many demos I actually download :lol: But yeah, the servers are still buzzing, I'm just gunning for a CAG match or something. I'm hoping more people see this, I mean, the Bringing Back Quake IV thread is buzzing with people, I was hoping this would too. Meh... More people get into this!
 
I picked this up a while back for like $20 used, but haven't got around to playing it yet. I did play the demo level a lot, just couldn't force myself to buy the full one until recently.
 
I was hooked on BF2 for a long time when it first came out, haven't played it for ages, I'd deffo be up for a CAG match sometime.

Word. I have it for the original XBox but would be willing to pick it up and hook up some night if I could get the game cheap. I loved BF2 on the PC but never got around to playing it on XBL for the original XB.

Now, if I can just get the baby to go to sleep early enough to guarentee play time I'll be set.

If you're lucky your Target might have it on clearance (got mine there for $14.98). The Targets that seem to have these clearances though are the older ones that didn't remodel their game sections to the larger display cases.
 
Eh. I'm seeing Gamestop has it for $30, so I guess hunt down a cheap copy at Wal Mart or something.

But this is sweet, 4 to 5 guys are down for this. Anyone downs for getting a CAG night going, PM me, I'll throw your names in a list in the OP to organize it a bit so we can all add each other, and from there we can decide on a night to play. So get at me!

No offense guys but the servers are stilling buzzing because EA chopped of 70% of the servers for that game in early January. So if you go to custom match the most matches you'll see are about 5-6. Where it used to be 30-40 different games at once.


I"m down for playing with you guys though.
I'm pissed that EA never brought out any downloadable content for it.

I think it's safe to say that we are close to the point of designating a night to do this. I can really only hit this up on the weekends, and late on weekends for that matter. Anyone have any ideas for when to play? Friday or Saturday past 11 PM EST is golden for me.
 
I haven't played in a while (all Lost Planet and Halo 2 for me lately), but I am down to play, still one of the better games on 360 imo, the only downfall of it was so many silent players instead of good ol teamwork. I will keep checking back to this thread to see when a time will be decided.
 
Alright, Paco I added your name to the list in the OP. Hopefully the guys who posted will check back to this sometime later tomorrow and we can discuss a time to play. In the meantime I suggest adding everyone on XBL and maybe changing gamer motto or whatever it is to CAG BF or even go so far as to give ourselves a siq nickname. CAGlefield 2 maybe?
 
I'm usually ok for after 1130pm EST to around 1am. I might have to drop the mic though at times since I get random phone calls during those hours, but I can still play while I'm on the phone. If we get a set night and time though that everyone can agree on, I could probably hop in every once in a while and catch, but just nothing as early as 930pm EST for me.
 
I am in, I need to get a copy of the game tho. I can get it whenever just let me know. I played this game all summer at my brother's house. Love it to death.
 
Anyone feel like giving this a run tonight/tomorrow or just as easily put, the 7th. Like, maybe around 1 am EST?
 
Okay guys, how does this Saturday @ 1 am EST sound? If you're down, post in here that you are in fact down to play, as well as your gamertag. Once I get everyone's gamertag I'll put it next to your CAG name, and everyone can add everyone. This'll be a good time.

I'm pissed that EA never brought out any downloadable content for it.[/quote]i find that kind of weird that they didn't do that considering that they released a lot of different "booster packs" for the PC version. although i never bought any of them, they seem to be pretty good deal compared to the cost of maps on xbox live. the euroforce pack came with the european union side along with new maps and such.
