Battlefield: Bad Company

o well at least it is a new mode for FREE!

on that note, I wont be able to play for the next 2 weeks as I am picking my stuff and moving back to school, so I will not be on to invite people to play bad company but dont let that stop u guys from inviting each other.

I got on late monday night but should be able to get on wednesday night at the right time.
 
Just got this game and played a few rounds. Played the demo a ton, and there was VC. Is there no voice chat in the full game or what? Other than that its great.

Is there a set night you all play this?
Ive been playing BF since 1942, but Im new to the thumbsticks, so I could use a lot of practice...
Itd be nice to play with a team that actually works as a team instead of every man for himself.
 
Ya we play on mondays and wednesdays, I would usually be there but Im in the process of moving back to school and I wont have my PS3 back up until next week.
 
Is there are normal time to play? I live on the East Coast and don't get home from work until about 600PM most night.

If I add you all as buddies will BC show me what server to go to?
 
I live on the East coast as well so all times are Eastern, on Monday we generally start around 9, on Wednesday its at 10, but Monday is our main day really so try to show up then

if you are on our buddy list we will invite you to squad up and if you join late I'm pretty sure you can jump to what server we are on.
 
Starting next week I can start getting into it. My splint will be removed permanently and I can get back to regular gaming.

Do we use the voice feature? I have never used voice support for a game before since I have always had keyboard...any recommendations for decent headsets under $35?
 
Cheapest plantronics one at Walmart. I think it is like 27 bucks and works great. It is silver and black. Or you could hunt around for a Warhawk bundle, which comes with Warhawk and a bluetooth headset. That is 39 bucks

I wouldn't buy a headset just for this game. Voicechat is very low quality and mostly useless.
 
I cant make it tonight...the GF is leaving on business tomorrow and is gonna be gone for a few weeks so I have to put in some time. Is everyone down for Wednesday? Could we bump the time up to 9?

I went through the thread and added all the people that I think have the game: mykee98, randy_wrecked, jdioutkast, primetime171, synical, TctclMvPhase, and Valen_Korde. I can't make Mondays becaues of UT3 night is being moved then, but I'll try to show up on Wed or grab people when they're on.

sorry for not playing with your last night outkast, some guys wanted to do some ut3 and it ran way over and I was the host.

Thanks for the codes. BTW I played a little online today and I don't know if it's been mentioned but this game will have trophy support sometime in the fall. I saw it through the multiplayer ticker.
 
yup, waiting for trophy support to play again lol. I haven't gone through the SP campaign so it may be a good time for me to try it out while I have like 22 hours logged total in MP.
 
I don't notice that many cags playing this game. we should try to get an up to date list of the current cag'ers playing this online
 
i'm going to play this game again, it was alot of fun and it seems that dice will continue to support it. I got sucked into cod4 and haven't played anything else but socom beta. But I want to get back into this.
 
I have got to much on my plate right now
but...when trophy support hits no matter what
ill be back on this game like a fuck'n Hurricane
i still havent even started the sp side of the game

I'm also waiting for the trophy patch. But to be honest it's going to be a tough call since there's a lot of games coming out soon. I already know that lbp and resistance 2 are on my "will play for a long time" list.

I think I'm level 24 now.
 
I play it whenever the mood strikes me if you send me an invite I will probably play if I am not in the middle of something else

that's good to know. I try to play this game every now and then. It's a lot of fun when your team is working together. There's an amazing feeling when you pull off those down to the wire victories. Also, performed my first destroying a tank w/ c4 last night. awesome. The real kicker is the VoIP support is mostly broken as SB and I quickly found out. I mean screw trophies, I just want working VoIP for online.

Haven't touched it in months but I might take another stab at it with trophies.

Maybe I'll play it sometime when I'm not playing Dead Space, Left 4 Dead, Little Big Planet, Saint's Row 2, Fallout 3, Lego Batman, Gears of War 2, Resistance 2, or Penny Arcade 2. ;)

Anyway, hone and I should be on from 9-10 EST tonight if anyone wants to join up.

single player is Not Retroactive

multi player is Retroactive

i havent even started the SP but in MP i am lv 24
i got 5 trophys so far
 
You are correct for the most part. I'm not sure about the stuff like blow up x amount of trees. I'm not sure if that was tracked before, but I'm guessing like warhawk anything rank related will be retro.
