Its so crazy the the demand for the Wii is still so high. When I got mine last year I waited out in the cold overnight and really didn't need to. The last person to get one showed up about an hour before they were handed out. Then a few days later I managed to pick one up for my brother-in-law during the day just by calling around.

Anyone know what the store times for Best Buy and Circuit City are tomorrow? I can only find their times until December 1st. Do either store change their hours since they both say store hours from November 25th-December 1st?

The thing is if the stores advertise the Wii they have to hold them for that day or else they could get in serious trouble. Some people would call it a bait and switch if they advertised the Wii and did not have it. Like another person said imagine if you walked into a store when the Wii was advertised, was there at opening and they didn't have any because they sold them during the week. While I don't agree with this practice of holding inventory its what has to be done to keep things fair.

The problem is that usually the manufacturers of consoles don't sell so many systems over the summer so they have time to build up inventory for the holiday season so there is enough for everyone, however since the Wii has been selling steady since its release there is no built up inventory so shortage conditions still exist.

I have only seen Wii's twice since November 2006 in retail stores, pretty much EVERY video game system and almost every game is emptied from the shelves by Dec. 24th, yet the toy department is still very well stocked with items. Heck last year there was a massive DS Lite shortage, and I can see it coming for my area again this year. If you ask me retail stores need to greatly expand their video game departments because video games are clearly the hottest selling items of the holidays here, for various reasons. They need to double or triple the amount of games they normally stock for the holidays because it just sells so fast. This is why I do most of my shopping online for video games, you can never find anything you want in the stores and shopping online is cheaper.

Su 10AM - 8PM

Fr-Sa 10AM - 11PM

Circuit City:
Su 10AM - 7PM
M 10AM - 10PM
Tu 9AM - 10PM
W - F 10AM - 10PM
Sa 10AM - 11PM

Target opens at 8 too, even though they aren't advertising any. May be a good place to hit between TRU and BB/CC.

The CC near me didn't have any. I didn't think they would. I went to BB and price matched with no problem.
