Sounds like a dumb question but if I stroll into CC on Thursday will COD4 still be on sale for 40$ since it says for the week of? Or is it today only?

Pretty sure it's all week long. Who knows if they'll have stock, though, right? Two units per store...?

The sales last until Saturday. I'm not sure about other stores but we got a pretty good amount of copies in for 360(I didn't count but it looked to be roughly 30-40).
RSS is our inventory thing (I work at BBY).
Why didn't they just use WWW for the acronym as that would make just about the same amount of sense.

Heh.

I want them to use ASS. Automated Stock System. Isn't that brilliant? I'm clearly a genius.

"The ASS says we have 12 copies left in stock."

RSS actually stands for the name of the program and I am not that big of a BBY nerd to know offhand what it stands for :booty:

But I do like the "ASS" suggestion since sometimes it does act like one :bouncy:

Speaking of liking, that pic about wanting to use the D-pad, is that from the actual game, or an edit?? What's the story behind it? I'm intrigued! Is it Phantom Hourglass?

Got a Wii at Bestbuy and Circuitcity today. It was snowing where I am from and it was feezing cold waiting in line for 1 hour plus.

Got two copies of CoD4 at CC no problem. Don't trust the online availability tool - it told me none of my three local stores had the game, but when I walked in there were six sitting in the regular game area. This was the Culver City location, BTW and there should still be a few.

I also stopped into the West LA Best Buy and they were pricematching for people without calling to verify. Should be no problems getting this deal in the West LA area.

Real pic from Phantom Hourglass - I took the pic when I saw it during the game. I forgot where I was in the game when it came up, but it was pretty late in the game. Great game if you have not picked it up already :)

Hey guys do you know of any other coupons/deals that can be used if I were to pick up COD4 for 39.99??? I doubt there is but I figured I'd post here and ask. Any help would be appreciated.

I picked up COD4 last week at BB and today they adjusted my receipt down to $37.99. They had to call over to CC and luckily they still had it instock.

That's really hilarious... I can't believe they put that in there! I actually did pick it up last week at Target when it was on sale. :) Yay!

I'm jealous. :( No Circuit City here, and I don't think BB will price match them if we don't have a store in the area. So sucky!
Damn CoD 4 for 360 for 40 bucks, thats is nuts so soon after release, but there is no way anyone really wanting to play this game could have waited to buy it. If you did, damn your lucky, and patience pays off once again.
I waited cause I asked for it for Christmas but it's all sold out when I found this post.

since the other thread was closed and it had some good, new info in it as well thought I'd let you guys know..

If you print a B&W copy of CC.com ad you can most likely get away with getting the GotY version of Oblivion. I did this as well as a couple others.

YMMV Wal-Mart has Oblivion for $19.82 everyday price.
another said it was on end cap clearace for $9.xx at Wal-Mart.

I tried PMing at two BBs today for the GOTY edition of Oblivion. I got shot down at both. YMMV. Some BB don't pricematch with printouts also... Good luck all!

I ended up getting the regular version of Oblivion and Dead Rising. I also got the madcatz arcade controller with Frogger, Astropop and Time Pilot codes for $9.99.

I picked up COD4 at CC (Van Nuys) Tuesday night and they still had about 10 copies left in a display case.

I cannot believe that the Target Spiderman 3, for ps3, at 18.00 with a $5 gift card, was not chosen as a good deal. I am disappointed that God of War2 @ $25 was not chosen, but seriously, $12 for spiderman 3 for PS3. That isn't a cheap deal?!? WTF?!? (Luckily, my target had two spideys left (watertown ma), but no god of war2 left. I am just very surpized that it didn't get more promenently featured on the front page, as it did get a 64.4 % gameranking. (I may have been able to pick up god of war 2 if it had been featured, so i am bummed a bit. I do acknowledge it was listed here and I should have checked, so at least don't flame me about that.)

fyi, there were LOTS of copies of Pirates of carabean for ps3 left, even at $12 bucks. Maybe they can give it away?

ooh boy, Spiderman 3 is pretty... um... not great, though. :/ I wouldn't recommend it, at least. I think in order to be chosen as a good deal, the game has to be, like, good. They're gonna have to give away the Pirates games as well, I fear. They're counting on grannies with no gameplay knowledge to pick those ones up.

The cheapness quotient and excellence of CoD4 was impossible to pass up as the best deal. God of War 2 is a good deal, but it's not exactly new anymore, and it's on a last gen system. Not that it isn't a great game, mind you, but that's about the price it should be getting down to by now anyway.

Just wondering if I can get a rain check on the COD4, I'm thinking thats a good deal after all since my whole Halo Clan jumped ship to that and I don't want to be left out. IF anyone is familiar with CCs policy on the matter, let me know, I figure they gotta be sold out by now.
