I went to the South Loop BB in Chicago yesterday and they really didn't have anything. I only got Dragon Quest VI for $6.99. BB still have it on the shelf as $34.99. That's why there were so many still there.

Just got back from picking up my shipped to store :ps3: El Shaddai game. The CSR scanned the game and it was ringing up $19.99 in store too. Rather than taking the risk of them sending back the copy and then not being able to order it all, I completed the purchase.

My question is, since this is obviously a select store clearance situation and no stores around me have it in stock using their clearance section that's online, how do I go about only paying $10 for this game? If the game doesn't get discounted at my local store before 30 days, should I just return/rebuy it again hoping it'll eventually get discounted?
 
Does anyone know if the prices on the OP are still valid?

Edit: just stopped by my local Best Buy. Splatterhouse rang up for 10, and No More Heroes rang up for $15.

I think they just need the SKU or tell them you saw the clearance shelf tag. A pic of the shelf tag or receipt showing the price can also be used(I just found this out recently) so no more YMMV stuff we just need people to post pics.

Picked up driver San Fransisco for the ps3 it rang up for 14.99 and it was on the 40% off section and I used a $5 certificate so I got it for $4.27
 
Not sure if this is the right thread or if this is old news, but I picked up Max Payne 3 Special Edition on clearance today for $35 at Best Buy. The statue is ok, but since the regular edition was still $60, why not.
 
Snagged a Max Payne 3 SE (Xbox 360) today for $34.99, so that does seem to be a national clearance price, if you can find it. The website and shelf tag showed $69.99, but rang up properly at $34.xx.

Don't know about XBox but I bought the PS3 version eariler this week for $19.99(tag still said $39.99 but I had them scan it and found out the $19.99 that way).

Eh. I honestly don't care if a driving game has official/real cars with real names in them as long as it's fun. To me, the most fun part of the Driver series was in part 2 where they kinda made it part GTA, where you had to comandeer(aka carjack) a new ride if yours got trashed.

With this most recent game, I just couldn't get past the whole 'shifting' thing. Although I did like the mini mode where you chased down criminals. But that was about all I liked of the game.:whistle2:#
 
Is El Shaddai any good? The demo was just weird and didn't make any sense... The gameplay didn't seem fun.

I went ahead and ordered a LOTR CE on xbox for ship to store. I will report later this week when I go to pick it up if it auto adjust down to $19.99 or not.
 
LOTRWOTN CE Is only 19.99 at certain stores. Same with Max Payne 3 CE. I had an employee check RSS and she showed me the varying prices.

I'll have to have them check RSS in my closest store when/if this media cabinet comes in this week. I'd probably try and press them for one of those lil troll statues if the LOTR: WITN CE was $20 just to add some value to the purchase.

it is ymmv, so you might have to call multiple times to get lucky with the price match.

The store CS rep can verify the pic/price/stock while your getting CS on the phone. When you get CS on the phone the store CSR can then confirm the price for BB.com & you'll get the match. It's more work but that 1 trip saves you from driving all around for a store(s) with both stock & the price.
 
Check your BB store shelves again folks. There is a slight chance that either back rooms or warehouses were cleared out and excess clearanace items were put out. Today I scored a $9.99 copy of Aliens Infestation for the DS after previously finding it missing from the shelf over a week ago, and it was not even appearing in their online stock system.

My closest BB has a lone copy of :ps3: Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon sitting on the shelf in the PS3 section in a small clearance section they made seperate from the rest of the games.

Doubt it. Once best buy sets a clearance price it stays. It doesn't continue to drop like target clearance. Check Amazon for the game, it's always $10-$15 there every time I've looked
