so you spend $5 toward halo wars, get the warthog and they give you the one month? what happens if you don't buy the game? You still have the warthog code and the one month?
 
Something wrong with the site?? I can see the offer but there's no link to get said coupon.

~~ Tried IE and I have a completely different set of offers. Something is definitely screwy with this place.
 
Meh, not really a $7.99 value as the recent slew of 12+1 month cards hitting around $30 make it more closer to $2.50/month.

It depends how they 'appear' in the receipt. If the coupon took $5 off the preorder line item then you don't get your $5 back when you cancel your preorder. Alternatively, if they appear as a package deal, the CS rep may not let you cancel your preorder without you returning the Live card, which may be unreturnable anyway since they can't verify if you've used the code.
 
Not bad, but not great. Unless I can get the game I want cheaper elsewhere I'll buy my games at BB because of the Gamers Club. Getting $10 back after spending $150 is a pretty good deal.
 
Its something, but in the past high profile games (like GTA 4) had a 1 month free card included with the game. Maybe these are the types of "special deals" we'll see more of with CC gone. I actually love these 1 month cards, because whenever my son decides he needs to spend some time on Live multiplayer, I just let him use one of those to upgrade his silver account. I don't think he needs 12 months at a time yet.

I wasn't going to cancel my preorder, I just wanted to make sure I can actually get a warthog dl code and the 1 month card for $5 without buying the game from them.
 
I did this deal just for the 1 month card and green replacement case; I'm not actually planning to play a console RTS. If anybody wants this Warthog DLC code and has some other DLC code for trade, PM me. I'd really like to find a Frogger code, but I'll probably take any XBLA duplicate you have lying around.
 
In my experience they let you apply that $5 pre-order to anything. So it's more like a gift card. If you do a lot of shopping at BB, then this is basically like 1 month of live for free.

Probably through multiple visits. I don't think this is as bad as the RZ Silver exploits.
