You should get one of those clearanced wireless Logitechs that they made for the PS3. Shit even has a track pad built in so you don't have to fuck around with a mouse if you're sitting on a couch or something. They're USB, not Bluetooth so they're Plug and Play with Windows too. Wal-Mart had them for $25 here, Best Buy had them for the same price around January when they put them on clearance. Shit's YMMV though.

EDIT: N/M I thought you were trying to use it like an HTPC.

Depends on how long it took you to do those 53.
I hardly ever "retried" missions... if I failed them, I reloaded a lot of times.
I didn't dick around too much either, with dates or whatever.
I also took cabs EVERYWHERE, even DURING missions. The one thing to be careful with using this approach, is that sometimes if you aren't familiar with the mission type, you'll get dropped off, the target will drive away and you'll be left needing to find a car.

I think my end total was something like 94 missions, 18:53.

But basically, you're just over 1/2 done with the story, so you can project it from there.
 
I'm at like 18 or 19 hours but I dicked around a lot. I always reload a save when I fail or when I die though... so I might be able to do it if I just strictly do missions from here out, eh?

I used to think that achievement system was stupid, but now i see that it was genius on Microsoft's side. They created a way of getting people to play games they usually wouldn't play, just to up their achievement score. Has probably helped increase the sales/rentals of some games.

You don't play just to get the achievement. Otherwise you'd be playing Avatar.

You play the game and use the achievement to make it more challenging or as motivation to try things you might not. I enjoyed the hell out of GTA4. And I got the cheese for beating it in under 30 hours.

Eh. Can't stop the game from giving me the points, so I might as well take em. I think most of what I said was more or less motivated by the bullshit that is these people, like Linkin, with the avatar train... or wubb who cracked 10000 in a month. Whomever mentioned that the cheese might get you to do things you wouldn't normally do, (I think I said it then, but either way...) totally right. That's the genius of the system.

It's just a shame that people (myself included) are garnering all these points for no real reason, other than potentially bragging rights. I wish they were *worth* something -- didn't MS give away games to people who got a certain gain in GS during a particular timeframe at one point?

I like acheivements a ton, but no fucking way am I going to rush through GTA 4 just for some stupid achievement.. I spent a ton of time doing all the sidequest stuff along the way, and a ton of MP.
