With witcher 3, all hard copies also include a cd with the soundtrack.. something usually included in a deluxe edition, or as a paid additional purchase.

Play length wise, we are also talking a 100 or 200 hour long game. For $37 on launch day, thats almost like stealing it, so I have no problem supporting them.

8m still mulling over Arkham Knight...that $40 dlc pill is a little hard to swallow, regardless of the single player story content in it...they also haven't said how long those are either.

Batmobile racing could either be great, or be a huge waste of development time.

All Rocksteady batman games have been grade A quality games. It would be idiotic to disapprove of the game just because of the over priced season pass. No one is forcing you to buy it. The game is gonna atleast be 8 hours+ with story alone, add ontop additional side missions, batmobile races, challenge maps and everyone's favorite riddler trophies, you got a lengthy amount of gameplay right there. Easily imo Game of the Year.

You can't name a game of the year before it even releases...

You are on a site called Cheapassgamer... I think in the spirit of the website, it would be idiotic not to wait a year and buy the GOTY edition for $10 on a steam sale with all DLC. Unless you really love the series and NEED IT, but that's obviously a person by person thing and nothing wrong with that.

Really though, I think the game will be well worth (based on nothing but pedigree) it at it's price point especially if you straight up ignore the existence of DLC until it's severely reduced in price (so as to not support the horrible business model).

I saw this on the BB FB page and I made a pretty picture.

Microsoft paint FTW!

UoI2yRP.jpg

I uploaded it to imgr, because I don't know how to add images to CAG. (I do all my garage sale stuff on photobucket.)

I received a $5 off any new game $29.99 and up coupon when renewing my GCU membership. It says it will not work online. If I preorder The Witcher 3 in store, will I be able to use the coupon when I pick the game up?

Reviews rolling in for The Witcher 3 , 9.3 ign and 10/10 at gamespot which is only the 9th game they've ever given a perfect score . I don't really let reveiws influence my decision on wether or not to purchase a game , unless it scores really low . It's nice to see the developers let it be reviewed a week early , it shows they have faith in and are proud of the game . We see way too many games being released these days with a review emargo until release day .

Here's a bunch of review links:

I had trouble getting into the Witcher 2 which I thought had too convoluted of a story line with all the politics, way too long cut scenes and clunky combat.

But reading these reviews is making me think I will take the dive on Witcher 3. Sounds like combat, in particular, is much better.

So is the additional Witcher 3 Steelbook still available if you pre-order from Best Buy?  I'm not seeing it get added to the cart.

Sorry if this has been answered, but I didn't see it mentioned after going a few pages back.

I wonder how long it will take Best Buy to add Assassin's Creed: Syndicate to this promo...?

Lol they were not getting me this year, I like the AC games and I decided last year when my GCU was still new to me I would preordered ACU, first AC I ever preordered, will not happen again lol, now I'm going to wait for reviews for them and even then I'm probably going to wait till they are under $30

At least this one is single-player only, which (combined with the fact that it's an Ubisoft game) all but guarantees it'll drop to $30 within a couple of months.

Unless you're going to trade it right back in, or you're a diehard AC fan, there really is no point to pre-ordering an AC game, even with GCU and $10 cert.  They easily hit $20-30 soon enough.  And now that it's only single player, you won't miss out on the online community so there's no harm in waiting.

So in order to qualify for the 10 dollars do you have to pay? As in, I have a gift card that would cover all of it, would I still get the 10 dollars rewards? Thanks

Since I experienced no issues with unity I'll be pre ordering syndicate. Can't wait to play it. Lots of great games this year.

You'll still qualify for the $10 in rewards if you pay the full balance with a gift card. I've done that with every eligible game I've preordered and gotten the points without any problems.

Well I actually watched the trailers and I must say it appears to have a great atmosphere,I'll give it that

And they brought back whistling, I'm game

The new AC looks pretty sweet actually. I'll most likely preorder it. I still have Unity sealed and I preordered it last year lol. I might get to it by the time October gets here but even that's doubtful with The Witcher, Batman, MGS5, and Mad Max releasing before then.

Why bother to preorder it then, when you will probably be able to buy it for a third of the price by then?

More importantly, you saw the launch disaster that was Unity...why would you support a developer with a preorder with a track record like that?

I won't preorder or buy on launch day anything from a developer with launch disasters like we saw last year.

I WILL support developers who put out quality products that also show concern about their customers with fair and reasonable dlc policies.

The rest I'll just hold off on until they hit deep clearance, and play our backlog in the mean time.

We get it, you don't like to preorder and you don't like Ubisoft. Why do you insist on continuing to post in a thread that is specifically about a deal that can only be obtained by preordering? Take your garbage elsewhere.

Don't get why Ubisoft gets so much hate. There's a lot of different Developers in Ubisoff. Just last year I enjoyed Trials Fusian, Rayman Legends, Watch Dogs, Valant Hearts, and Far Cry 4. There might even be a couple I missed.

Syndicate to launch on a Friday? That's a little odd for an AC game, nevertheless I'm all for more games releasing on a Friday.

The corporate suits at the head of the publisher part of the company are the shit lords that are the problem.

Speaking of Ubisoft, surprising nobody, The Division is now a 2016 game. Its inclusion in this promo just keeps getting funnier.

They need that extra time for the bullet hole tech, you know.

I'm so mad about the delay. I'm so upset.

One of my most looked forward to games.

I love the assassin's creed series. It is by far the best "next gen" franchise. I think people who do not like the games do not actually read the animus entries and do all the side stuff. It is interesting how they weave the Assassins and Templars into World History.

I understand the games are repetitive and there are some glitches (AC3 computer hacking being the one that will kill my platinum), but overall, they are great games.

I am a little behind on some of the franchises, but infamous/prototype are basically the same game. Uncharted games are basically tomb raider. Everyone seems to hate FPS. I'm just curious what people actually like that is non nintendo.

I don't mind if it means we get a better game, but can they stop putting a release year on it? I believe this is the second time it's gotten pushed til next year. Just say it'll be out when it's ready.

I'm actually glad that the Division was delayed. I really don't know why everyone tries to cram all their games into the holiday season. It's like they are saying they aren't confident that they are making a game good enough that people will want to buy regardless of the season. With Battlefront and likely Batttle Born coming out in the fall, there's not much room for more multiplayer experiences.

Uhhh... I'm hoping a lot of stuff is announced at E3 for this year because otherwise it's looking pretty barren past September, at least for big retail releases. Battlefront is just this year's Battlefield (because nobody cares about Hardline, including EA, apparently) and Battleborn is a Gearbox MOBA, and none of that appeals to me.

Like, it sure would be nice if Fallout 4 would come out this year! It probably won't, but it would be nice! Maybe a date on Scalebound, or Crackdown? Anything?
