Authorization Process

it's not gonna matter which one you return. As long as you preordered it and you end up buying a copy on release day you'll get the cert.

at one point I got two copies of a game and returned the one with the cert bonus on accident. It ended up going towards the other order after a few days.

By the way, mine just popped into my e-mail. I picked my game up around 11:25 PM, e-mail arrived at 12:18 AM.

Actually, I'd just make sure you returned it on that second receipt. If you do it on the pre-order receipt, that might go awry. The games are generic, though.

He's right as long as it say pre-order you'll be fine, Im from the east coast and I've pre-ordered games at 2am and still have gotten certs. I think the cutoff is at 12am pacific time for pre-orders.

Why the fuck would it be 12 PST when new DOTD sales and weekly sales start at 12:01 AM CST.

If Halo 5 was on sale on Saturday and I try and order it at 12:01 AM CST (on Sunday) it won't give me the sale price because it's Sunday in the eyes of Best Buy.

Also, why do people wait until the last minute for pre-orders? If it's 12:01 AM CST on release day, it's too late. Amazon on the other hand is PST, so I could still pre-order Halo because they still have it as Monday.

I do everything in life that I can last-minute. I'm still somewhat functioning in society, so the fact I'm not dead in a ditch after every iteration of procrastinating, I assume it's a sign to keep doing it.

yea the pre order bonus isn't showing up in the cart anymore so if you were to order now it wouldn't count as a pre order.

maybe they saw it still there shortly after mid night and it wasn't take off yet idk?

Yep, got mine Geco.  I did an online order but it was for shipping.  Online orders that were shipped should be smooth.  Mine is scheduled for delivery tomorrow (Tuesday) and my code showed up in my inbox at 10:12PM PST.

Check your order history. If it doesn't show up in there as a second separate item, then it was because the promo wasn't added at the time. Ordered the LCE during the glitch and my DLC didn't show up so I had to contact the BBY mods.

Everyone in my store got pretty screwed. The manager made everyone who pre-ordered cancel the order and repurchase the Halo 5. I was just going to buy three new copies and return them but with the return limit and him INSISTING the $10 gift cards will be emailed to us, I just went ahead with his plan. Guess we'll see if his words true and the pre-order bonuses and the 10 GC are sent through email.

I PMed them on the BB forums and had my preorder bonus code within an hour.

 
So I called this morning and they claim they didn't get any elite controllers in. I think im still going to go to the store after school today. Like WTF? I preordered months ago. They better have them in store.

 
Some screw up at my store for online preorders they had to write down my order number on a form and have me sign, but now I look at my online order status it still says in progress ready to pickup, so I don't have the preorder code

I'm guessing not many people pre ordered at my local best buy. I just picked up halo in the morning & was given the bag,artbook,& Mask. Also I just got emailed the bonus code after I picked it up.
