I haven't tried the Dark Zone because I've had no one to go in there with, and I expect it would be a disaster.
I'll help you out, bud. But yeah, I wouldn't dare go back in alone or without being at the top end or higher of the level of the area. Every enemy in there is "purple," so kind of a BA.

Yeah the Dark zone is pretty fun and you get lots of good loot. Like blue, purple guns and armor.

You can rank up pretty fast, takes only an hour to get up to level 13.

It's easier and quicker than some of the regular missions.
I mean for obtaining loot, and # of enemies at once.

I added you on LIVE, just in case. I actually made a trek into the place with a friend today and got to level 11 in the Dark Zone. The crappy part is having to get 20 Rogue Agent kills in there for an Achievement. I only saw two the entire time we were in there.

Just added you back, but going to bed.

I noticed that a movie comes with 100 my best buy points? What does this mean? Like 250 pts per $5 rw cert or something else?

I'm planning on trading it in this week. It was really fun for 30-40 hours but after that its a very, very basic loot grind. I played solo 100% of the time, you can matchmake for all the missions (15 total or so) so thats good and matchmake for hard mode missions at level cap, only once I ever heard anyone else talk (PS4).

The end game is pretty disappointing, its very, very group focused and its sorta broken too, no one wants to really PVP (if you die you lose 4-5 hours of work) and everything else is just a boring grind. There are no raids or anything cool to do, just mobs that bum rush you so you need 4 really geared and coordinated players to do the highest level of missions.

vanilla Destiny had a far more fun end game imo, but Division's leveling is far, far better. I enjoyed Destiny's gun and class systems better too, there is nothing like gallahorn or ice breaker in division - its all guns that feel similar, I have two orange (legendary) guns but for the life of me have no idea what they are called.

since I got it for $33+tax at best buy I have no problems with it at all since it should trade for $30-35, for $60 i don't think its worth it
Some things you should know...

The raid is not here yet. It's going to be here in April. It's called Incursion. You can actually see it in the southeast side of the map. The reward says it will give you set items.

There are 3 Daily missions once you hit 30, 2 on hard and 1 on Challenging. The hard one is easy enough that no one communicates. The challenging one is quite impposible now if no one use a mic. Every time I join a Challenging mission, most of the time, players use their mic.

You don't lose 3-4 hours of work if you die in the DZ. You lose exp roughly equals to a group of 10 yellow bar bad guys, it shouldn't take you 3-4 hours to clear out one group.

People don't really PVP right now because power matters, unlike Destiny. You can't be killed by a green gear new guy if you have all purple or yellow. So in a WoW way, most players are just gearing up before they try anything.

I actually love how the mob actually try to flank you and rush you the whole time. It makes teamwork much more crucial in the challenging mode. Again, unlike Destiny, you can just hang back and snipe everything in Nightfall without any teamwork or tactics.

The Division is a RPG before it's a shooter. Destiny is a shooter. Both has its merit. Right now, The Division looks way better than Destiny if we are comparing how they are when they launched, both contents and gameplay.

Edit: there two type of orange, generic and named. Generic orange guns are just gun with orange level of power. Named gun are guns with set talents. The GHorn of the Division right now is called Midas. It's so OP that Ubisoft had to disable one of its talent during a server maintenance last week.

True, they are just guns. We can't have space magic in a Tom Clancy game. But these guns with set talents will change the way you played and how you plan your loadout. I have a AR that reduces CD every time I score a headshot. To fully maximize this, I started using sticky bomb and seeker mine more than turrets.

Hopefully by the time you reach the higher levels that becomes true.

@level 50 which is what most people are aiming for right now.

Neutral death: 12.5k xp lost

Accidentally shot another player and got flagged: 31k xp lost

Killed 1 dude: 37k xp lost

.

.

.

Manhunt status: 62k xp lost

Depends on gear of course and your status when you died, but lets say 50 to 250 yellow bar guys to make up what you lost.

Yeah The Division really needs some tweaks to the darkzone to make it worthwhile to PVP. Really hardly anyone is hardly doing it and those that are running full group hunts making it impossible to really do much against them if they single you out.

There are also two really big downsides to hitting the level cap. First is the Darkzone drops the ascending level zones as you go norther and bumps all the NPCs to 30 so going solo becomes really tedious since almost all enemies now have armor :p. Also if you planned on helping a lower lvl friend do some missions you really screw them over since the game bumps all NPCs on the street and in mission to 25. I was trying to help my lvl 14 friend do some missions yesterday and he basically couldn't do anything with me in his party. All he could do was stay behind cover and blind fire since 1 shot from pretty much any enemy instantly downed him. The exp wasn't enhanced for him either as far as I could tell so basically I can't party with him till he grinds through a few more missions without ruining his gaming experience.

Those are really the only issues I've had with the game though if you have some buddies to play with in co-op it's a really solid experience, and matchmaking is really fast if you just want to play with pubs.

You're gonna have a bad time in the DZ if you have no friends with you.

My squad and I did a couple runs in there and it wasn't terrible, that was when we were lvl 10-14, of course we died but not before either stealing someone else's loot or acquiring it ourselves. 4 out of 5 runs we managed to secure loot.

I find the DZ to be equally fine whether solo or in a squad.  As solo, you are much less noticeable.  Given the lack of people killing each other to go rogue, you are relatively safe from other players.  Before starting encounters with any AI, make sure you have at least two clear escape routes in case you get flanked or the game spawns AIs on you.  I haven't failed a single extraction solo.

As a squad, you can be less cautious and it makes DZ leveling much easier and faster, obviously, since you have more bullets flying.

Hopefully by the time you reach the higher levels that becomes true.

Didn't really check the exact number when we were doing dark zone but here it is. We were farming in DZ4 and DZ5, all lvl30. I was DZ rank 31.5, roughly. The whole team wiped due to recklessness. My exp bar dropped roughly .2-.3. Made it up by killing couple more groups and made 32 in a hour. This time includes searching for enemies and extraction.

You lose a lot more, way more if you go rogue. If you like to go rogue constantly and getting killed as a rogue. Then yea, I guess you can say you are losing more than you're gaining. My original reply was toward someone who I assume is just farming mobs, not farming agents.

Seeing some dirty ass tactics in the Division. Like there would be one group focused on shooting NPCs so another group with a tank purposely walks in front of fire to get the other squad in rogue status before jumping on them and clearing them out and the NPCs before dipping out with all the loot. It was funny to watch but felt bad for the group that got jumped.

Also I pre-ordered The Division back in Nov 2014...keeping track of the bonus pre-order points is gonna be a pain in the booty isn't it. I always have pending points from other purchases.

You should be able to check the points pending from that order on the site.

Rewards history goes in accordance to purchase date, and it won't pull up that far back. Thus the problem. If the purchase was a month or so then that wouldn't be a problem.
Ah, I just saw you said 2014. The drop down says it can show up to two years though so it should work, but I can't really speak from experience seeing as how my history begins in Nov 2015.

The history can go back that far, but it tends to error out a lot trying to pull the info. It would require patience.

Hmm, this is something I'll have to try lmao

If you are talking THE DARK ZONE it is crazy but fun! I like the idea and temptation to go Rogue.

Odd it's on DOOM's page, but not on the pre-order rewards one. I was getting this game regardless, but the rewards cert makes it a LITTLE more likely I get that LE.

The $10 gcu cert shows up on the doom splash page but not on the list. Hopefully they officially add it to the list

Was not sure about getting DOOM considering it was so close to Uncharted 4 release date but I guess I probably pick it up now.

Still not interested in Doom. No co-op campaign is a deal breaker for me as it doesn't look like it would be fun solo. But at least this means the promotion is still alive for the time being.

when they first add games it can take a little while for it to show up on the main page that displays all the games. If it's on the product page you should be all good.

Maybe the wrong place to ask this but could anyone answer this for me: Having GCU gets you double RZ points for trade ins right? I traded in 3 games for $90 dollar credit before GCU 10% so i should get 180 points right? I only got 90....

Yeah they've been messing that up for a while. If you don't already have one, make an account on the best buy unboxed forums. Go to the games section and make a post. They're usually pretty quick to get back to you

Nah I think they stopped, I haven't gotten double since 12/28. My next trade ins were 2/3, 2/16, & 2/17. No double on those, the GCU page says they do but others haven't gotten them either.
