Best Buy $9.99 PC game clearance through Aug 1 only!

Hey everyone!

Just found out there is a sale going on at Best Buy on games they want to get rid of...prices are good through Saturday night!!!

The following is a list of games that are $9.99. No matter what store you go to, these are corporate driven mark downs. As a disclaimer, these are gone when gone. Some stores won't have them but if they do, the price will be $9.99. There are some weird version on some of these so make sure the sku(7 digit number on the tag on the box) is correct.

These will not be on bestbuy.com as they are clearance. However I have requested that next time they leave them up on bestbuy.com so you can try and see if your store has them first. Any suggesstions you have on better ways to conduct these sales let me know and I will send them to people I know in high places:D Sorry I got this out so close to the end of the sale but I finally got a full list. Next time they will send me the list earlier.

Put some of the ones that caught my eye in bold.
BTW, the following list is for PC games only. None of the console versions of these games are on sale
Also, recommend you call first as some of these like COD 4 are OLD versions not the new gold/special ed version.
Tell the employee to, "check RSS and that you have the SKU." The SKU is the 7 digit number to the left of the game. There are a lot of different versions of the games but this will ensure #1 they check the correct price and #2 they can tell you if it is in stock.

Real quick...my suggestion is make a list of what you want and take that to your local store.

Also, the store can look some of these up for you at other locations but that could take some time if you don't narrow down your list first.

I can confirm these are corporate prices as I know the corp gaming team and finally had them send me the list.

Also if you call your local store tell them you have the SKU and to check RSS. Most employees won't know about this. The sku is the 7 digit number I put next to each game. This will make sure they check the correct version of the game.
 
With Fallout 3 and Call of Duty 4, that puts you over 1000 points on Goozex. Which is the Price of a New game. So you could Technically get

Halo ODST
Modern Warfare 2
Mass Effect 2


for $20 bucks if you game the system right.

They are probably referring to the Game of the Year edition while the sale is probably on the regular edition.
 
The only two that really raise eyebrows are the Crysis collection and Fallout: CE. Everything else I'd be shocked, check that, appalled if they weren't already this low.
 
Went to the store 2 miles from my house. No Fallouts, Call of Duty, Crysis. Just Tomb Raider. It's a new store but they never are overstocked. Management must ride their ass or the employees do a lot of in house shopping.

damn wrath CE for only 9.99 doubt my stores will have any though. suck

CoD2 is solid, still very popular amongst the PC gamers.. according to xfire at least lol

GOTY edition has some of the DLC already on the disc. I'm not 100% on this, but I think all the CoD DLC for the PC version is free and just a matter of patching up the game.
 
wellllll crap, the nearest best buy for me is 2 hours. Doesn't look like I can get some of these games unless I can call someone to make a run for me.

It's a good sale though.

went to BB. they had nothing on that list but Agatha Christie Death on the Nile.

I did however manage to pick up Singstar w/ mics for $10.
 
Looks like we're really, really late to the party on this sale. Only thing left at my store was Alone in the Dark.
 
Wow. Total fucking bust. Nothing at my store at all either. And I know that they had almost all the titles a month ago. Just how long ago did this sale start?

I think it was like a month ago. But there was never an actual list from best buy aside from a few titles on the page that said they were having the sale, i.e lotr online, red alert.

I believe these games were supposed to be stickered, but the ones at my best buy never were, so maybe theres still a copy of cod4 waiting for me :p
 
Found the last copy of Supreme Commander Gold.
There were a few others, that I was not interested in.

Hitting three more stores on the way home, to see if I can find a Fallout 3 CE.

And most of what I did find, had green stickers on it.

The only thing I saw at mine was turok, which I passed on. I guess I'm going to look else where for fallout 3 CE or world of goo.
 
Can anyone confirm whether or not you need to be a Reward Zone member to be eligible for this sale? And to go further, do you need Gamers Club? Or do they just ring up $9.99 when they're scanned at the register?
 
Plenty of stuff from the list at the West Hartford, CT BB. I was looking for Crysis collection even with the extreme DRM but the item number was different. Maybes it the collectors edition of the first Crysis? *shrugs* not a huge deal for $10.
 
Fail: No CoD4 and no Fallout 3 CE at any BB in the entire region. I did see Bully and possibly one of the correct LOTR versions.

BTW the PC game section at my BB moved again. Between that and the game guide section whack-a-mole, I get enough exercise walking the floor every BB visit that I don't need a health club.

OT but the PS2 game section is looking very anemic. Between this and PS2 losing its cabinet space at Target, I wonder how long PS2 will be around.
 
I always wanted to try Guild Wars. I'll have to stop by Best Buy tomorrow and see if they have a copy.
 
I bought Medieval 2 on Saturday for $20. Is there any chance I could get the difference back on this sale?

Edit: Never mind, I read the OP again. I bought the Gold edition of Medieval 2, which is apparently not the version on sale.

Is it only the CE version of Fallout 3 or is the regular version also on sale? Can't we just buy it online (that is if the regular version is also on sale) for instore pickup and price adjust at the store?

Edit: never mind, bestbuys near my house said it was collector's edition and they're sold out

I have been waiting to purchase CoD4(namely to upgrade my PC,but also b/c of the price) and when I noticed it on sale for under $30, it's at Best Buy.
Which means it's sold out or no longer in stock.
So next week my CAG brothers and sisters, I am planning to go to Gamestop and take one sqaure on the chin for $39.99.
I deserve it!!!

Any thoughts?
