Thank you for the ad information. The ad scans were removed, however, since they're not allowed on CAG due to legal issues.
Gotcha. Thanks for the update.
Let me guess...

Goodfellas, Casino, Departed and The Doors, JFK, and Alexander.
Close; The collections include the following:

Goodfellas, The Departed, The Aviator
Natural Born Killers, Any Given Sunday, Alexander
I can only wonder what the PQ of Blair Witch Project would look like in BluRay. :whistle2:?
Depends on how the studio mastered it for blu ray... I've never seen this movie so I'm not sure.... It will probably be a slight step up from the DVD...

I already have Anchor Man on HD-DVD, so pass on that (even though everybody should buy it for that price!) I might pick up Deep Blue Sea, but i can't find any PQ reviews on it though.

I have it on HD DVD too, but I'll just rebuy it, I only have about 7 HD DVDs left, turned all the rest into blu's pretty cheap

The movie was pretty much filmed on a cam corder. Somehow my friend's older brother had his younger bro, another friend, and I all convinced the movie was real when we saw it in the theater. It was so much better when I believed.

wow, is that Open Water a double pack or is each $9.99...don't get me excited!! I have both on DVD, but for that price, for both, man I'd be all over it!! (yes I know they are sub-par movies, but one of the few 'suspense' films my wife actually enjoys..)

I think the best buy AnchorMan is an exclusive though, I believe it's called the "Rich Mahogany(spelling?)" edition and comes with a journal and some cards or something of that nature.

It's also got the pseudo-sequel Wake Up Ron Burgandy in HD. It's made up of all the cut footage from the movie, and it's about 1.5 hours long. It was on DVD for like a month, but now it's way out of print.
fuck, high tension is an instant buy at that price
indeed, I gotta grab me a copy of that and Hard Candy

ONLY if these movies have FREE tickets inside to see movies in theater. Meh, pass they will probably be $3-4 Black Friday

I got Hard Candy, High Tension and Open Water this morning. None of them would ring up using the scan gun. The girl had to manually type them in.

i went today and none of these movies that are exclusives were on the shelf... I didn't even bother asking, as I detest Best Buy now... I'll go back sometime during the week.

?? why would you rather waste more gas and check again when you could've just asked?

Best Buy website shows release date as 8/31 for all of them except Deep Blue Sea which is today, 8/29

Despite that, when I went to BB this morning, they had several boxes of media on the floor as they were putting out some of the ad titles and I spotted almost all of the exclusives in a box that was heading back to the stockroom. Grabbed Deep Blue Sea, Bad Lieutenant and High Tension. Saw Wonderland, Hard Candy, Open Water 1/2, Secretary and Blair Witch...no The Score though.

None were in the system and had to have the sku's entered manually.

Also picked up Galaxy Quest for 9.99 and Stargate 15th Anniv. for 12.99

I live a mile from Best Buy.

I just didn't want to waste time asking, them looking, the place sucks.

It's sad cause I used to love it, went every Tuesday and bought a lot... they killed the store for me.

Just get a rain check for it, but considering you live a mile away it's not that far. I decided to pick up Terminator 3 and Superbad. Sadly enough, I look at the best PQ before I actually buy a Blu-ray. A lot of them are in the cooper and bronze category.

Of course they're not on the shelf. Tuesday is the release day.

Even if you were unfamiliar with Tuesday release dates, the Best Buy website clearly shows an 8/31 date for The Score, for example.

Yeah just got back from BB, only Anchorman scanned properly, the rest had to be manually entered. All of the new movies were on an endcap that said best buy exclusives or something.

Also picked up The Brothers Bloom for $6.99!

Except the ad says "Available Sunday".

I picked up Blair Witch, 2001 Maniacs and High Tension. Unfortunately, no Anchorman. Boo!

As Shelton from The Big Bang Theory would say, BAZINGA!!

Might pick up The Brothers Bloom for that price.

Secretary is my all-time favorite movie. Perfect performances from Maggie Gyllenhall and James Spader. Anyone who likes quirky, kinky stories should check it out.

I haven't seen a listing for Anchorman on Blu-ray with any other retailers though. This is odd because I'd really like to pick it up for myself and someone else but not at $20.

It's currently a Best Buy exclusive. I'm not sure when the normal release date is though.

Exactly, the ad says Available Sunday.. of course I know new movies and music come out Tuesdays, in my prior post I said I used to go there every Tuesday.

lol because it's an EXCLUSIVE... people are having trouble reading in this thread.

I also went in today to pick up Hard Candy, and had a pretty fucked experience. The tags were on the shelves for all of the best buy exclusives, but none of them were out. I asked a clerk to check for stock, and they found it in-stock but were unable to find it on the floor. Ultimately they concluded I should just check tomorrow, as it's probably in the box of movies that are going to be put out tomorrow. I went to customer care and asked about it, and they found it in the weekly ad where it says it is available on Sunday. They also found stock, concluded it is in the box of movies that is coming out tomorrow, and ultimately just told me the ad is a misprint and that it comes out tomorrow. Cool. I'm hoping it is against policy for a sales associate to open that box of movies early, so as to justify not opening it.

Oh well, going in tomorrow I guess.

went in today at lunch. anchorman was on the shelf. grabbed that and trickrtreat. they had to go to the back to get wonderland, open water and hard candy. the ones from the back had to have their skus entered manually as others have reported.

Hmm... A lot of people seem to have issues with their local stores.
I went in first thing Sunday morning and everything was right up front on an endcap.

Deep Blue Sea wasn't there, but there was an empty space for where it should be.
I asked about it and someone had to go in the back and get it for me.
They apologized for the inconvenience and told me that it had been incorrectly boxed for a Tuesday release.
But otherwise no issues.

Similar at my store. I found what must have been the whole collection on a *rear* endcap, but the in-line locations (the regular aisles) only had empty spots demarcated by the price "tags."

This.

My store wouldn't sell me Secretary on Monday... They found it in the back, but the guy said it was street dated for Tuesday. I did leave with 3:10 to Yuma for $8, so it wasn't all bad.

Jling, glad you agree about the movie's quality! :)
