If you don't mind doing a return-and-rebuy, of course.

They would have to return the BB.com order and then ring it up as a in-store purchase, which means a second charge to your card.
Don't they have a week long wait limit on instore pickups? I remember having a problem trying to return something like that.
Don't they have a week long wait limit on instore pickups? I remember having a problem trying to return something like that.

M
It's held for a week before they send it back out to the floor as a non-completed order.

You could pick up an in-store pickup order from the store, having them complete it, and then return it, following-up with an in-store purchase.

Where are you guys finding the cheapo $1 or less DVDs to trade in? I've hit a couple Dollar Trees in my area and they didn't carry DVDs.

I've been trading a ton of my DVDs I already have on Blu-ray for Best Buy upgrade and save (and Warner Bros. DVD to Blu), but now my stock is getting down to quality movies that still aren't worth anything if I try to sell them but friends and family might appreciate them because they are quality titles.

I go to Hastings but many people don't have these locally. Some people get theirs at Blockbuster I believe. I don't have a Blockbuster rental any longer where I live.

Used this deal today as well. I picked up the first 5 seasons of Supernatural on Blu Ray. All the stores near me showed our of stock but the actually had three copies of each season on the shelf. I never watched a full season past season one but really enjoyed it back then when I was watching it so I figured I would give it another try. With blu ray for that price I could not pass it up and worst case I will sell them for a small profit. Thanks to whoever mentioned those seasons.

1st trip:

Moon
Saving Private Ryan
Natural Born Killers/True Romance
Snatch
Superbad

2nd trip:

Fear & Loathing in LV
Forrest Gump
Dawn of the Dead
FF7 Advent Children
Source Code

Still looking to get Braveheart, Observe & Report and 3 other good 9.99 Blus, maybe Good Will Hunting (always seems to be on sale at BB though)

Got lucky at a Dollar Tree today. They had some DVD's on clearance for $0.25 each! Not even a YMMV, I would not expect this anywhere else before you make the trip.

Check Big Lots. The last 2 stores I went to have 20 or more copies of some ESPN and some wanna be Jackass movie for $1.

I went after work today traded it some Dora the Explorer and Elmo dvd's (the kids have outgrown them I guess). Picked up Thor, Ghostbusters,Robocop,Hangover 2, and Scarface. I also bought Iron Man 2( already have)but I meant to grab Iron Man 1. Gonna exchange it tomorrow

Went in for my first and possibly only haul this time around. Between 3 coupons and a $5 rewards certificate I just got today(perfect timing), I picked up the Poltergeist digibook and both Conan films with Arnie for $20. I feel pretty happy with that.

Picked up few movies today

Supernatural Season 1/2/3/4/5/6
Vampire Diaries Season 1/2
Nikita Season 1
Forgotten Sarah Marshall

Will come back & picked up few more torrow ;)

Picked up 5 upgrade and save coupons today and used them to buy 5 new blus. However, the lady put the coupons back in my bag when I checked out. Can I go back tomorrow and re-use them or are they only good for that day or something?

Yes you can reuse them :)

Just as long as you kept the recycle receipt or they don't ask for it you are good!

I only got "The Incredible Hulk" for $4.99 and "Black Hawk Down" for $9.99. I'm running out of crap DVDs since I did most of my trade ins from the $5 promo when Best Buy did it in January.

Now onto taking my blu-rays to Walmart to convert them from disc to digital for $2 HDX on Vudu.:D

I imagine you'll like it, if you've ever watched Buffy it has a similar story structure progression. 1st season is mostly standalone episodes and then starting with Season 2, each season has its own serialized arc. Season 6 is arguably split up into 2 separate arcs.

My 1st Batch:
Green Lantern
Demolition man
Forrest Gump
Pulp Fiction
Nikita Season 1

Mr. and Mrs. Smith*(had someone else get that for me)

2nd Batch
Rocky
Rocky II
Rocky III
Rocky IV
Serenity

The Fifth Element/Gattaca

3rd Batch
Superbad
Source Code
Hangover Part II
The Crow
The Big Lebowski

Forgetting Sarah Marshall

I'm going to have to quit while I'm still ahead. running low on funds

Picked up:

Leon: The Professional
Batman Begins
The Dark Knight

May trade in a few more crappy dvds to get some spare coupons for the next two weeks.

This might be common knowledge, but I thought I would try upgrade and save at a closing store since it's right by where I work. No dice. They said they cannot take my dvds. I didn't ask if it would work if I had already had my coupon.

Today I picked up:

Mr. and Mrs. Smith $5
When Harry met Sally $2 after upgrade and Coupons.com Coupon
Beetlejuice $5
West Side Story $12 after upgrade and Coupons.com Coupon

I've done a few trips to my local Best Buy this week. The girls behind the counter practically know me by name now. I was able to find all three Evil Dead movies, so I'm really happy with how my week went down.

Do those still work if Vudu stops being supported? Sounds like a great idea, wish I heard of this before.

Finally made it to best buy today. I wish I knew about the Harry Met Sally deal. I'll have to go back to get that for $1.99.

My haul (after coupons)

Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol (best buy) - $15
The Big Lebowski (limited edition) - $7.99
Spartacus - $4.99
Hellraiser four movie collection - $4.99 (please don't judge me)

Also,
Forgetting Sarah Marshall - $4.99
Homefront (xbox 360) - $1.xx after @gamer coupon

The Big lebowski and Sarah Marshall both had free movie tickets for the Five Year engagement. I guess $41 dollars total got me 5 blurays, a 360 game, and 2 movie tickets.

It was funny I was trying to trade in blu-rays that I bought at Blockbuster for the upgrade and save promotion. The best buy employees would not accept my blu-rays because they had Blockbuster cases. I went out to my car and brought in some DVDs in normal DVD cases that they accepted. Sheesh.
Do those still work if Vudu stops being supported? Sounds like a great idea, wish I heard of this before.
I'm not sure about that but Vudu is owned by Walmart so... Also vudu is pretty popular, if you ever stream a hdx movie on vudu it is almost near Blu-ray quality.

The $2 they charge per disc to digital conversion is pretty much a fee for hosting your movie(you still get to keep your blu-ray disc, they just stamp on the bottom side middle disc ring). I doubt Walmart is making much of a profit on this deal with the movie studios.
...you still get to keep your blu-ray disc, they just stamp on the bottom side middle disc ring...
After they stamp it, is it still usable, or does it create a read error? Might have to look at uploading my remaining DVD collection and selling off the rest.

Also, I assume the cloud version is movie only and there is no menu/dash that might contain special features, correct?

This has probably been answered but I don't see it posted, but can the coupon be redeemed online, my bluray isn't in stock in the store

They wouldn't let me "double dip" on When Harry Met Sally. I didn't want to fight about it, so I let it go.

I did grab:
Das Boot $8
A Clockwork Orange $5
The Godfather (Paramount 100th Anniversary) $5
Does anyone know if the trade-in program is going on through 5/12/12 or is the coupon just good until that date?
offer and coupons expire 5/12
sorry for the question, but do coupons have to be used the day you receive them?
thank you
no, you can use em anytime during the promotional period (through 5/12)

Majority of them is movie only but I heard some of them do have special features.

The DVD/Blu-ray is still usable after they stamp them. They stamp them on the middle plastic ring not the readable area of the disc. It just says "Walmart Entertainment".
Can you someone please tell me if i can use the coupon by itself? It says that i need the recycling receipt but did not get one.
You can redeem the coupon by itself without the recycling receipt. I just did it earlier today, the cashier never asks for the recycling receipt anyways in my experience. Even if they do just tell them customer service forgot to give you one.

Only problem you could run into is is if they gave you enough coupons to go with the amount DVDs you traded (ex. 5 Dvds=5 cooupons). In the cases I have done it they gave me one coupon with the receipt to show how many DVDs I traded in, and then if I didn't buy the amount of movies I traded in for they then mark out the total of movies I did buy and leave the amount I have left to trade for.

Round #2 for me:

Rocky II - $4.99
Rocky III - $4.99
Rocky IV - $4.99
When Harry Met Sally - $1.99
Thor 3D - $19.99

Thank you to those who posted about When Harry Met Sally, Rocky movies, and Thor/Captain America 3D. I wouldn't have bought any of these if it wasn't for this thread.

I went to the dollar tree store today for $1 DVDs, so also thank you for the people in this thread who gave me that idea.
