Damn was hoping for deals on Captain America and Thor leading upto the Avengers release. Guess not.
3D for $20 is great...
3D for $20 is great...
I should clarify I meant the regular Blu-Rays without the upgrade & save coupons. For me $20 is standard price point for blu-ray, was hoping for $15 or less.
They should give out a free ticket for the avengers when you buy Thor or Captain America.
That would be awesome

Yeah, I have to agree, also waiting for 15.00 or less on these two. On the free ticket deal they probably figured why waste the money because who is not going to pay and see avengers?

We need to work out a program for 3D blu's here.. like.. I want Cap'n America. Someone else could want just the 3D disc. I could buy the combo pack and sell the 3D blu w/ shipping for $12.. that way the person that wants the 3D disc gets a great deal, and I get my 2D blu combo pack at an acceptable price. Win/win.
Hulk for $10. Score. Almost pulled the trigger at $12.50 on amazon a few days ago.
You don't have a random DVD to trade in to make Hulk $5?
You don't have a random DVD to trade in to make Hulk $5?
WAIT. It's any DVD? I thought it was for upgrading a DVD to the same movie on blu. I feel like an idiot.

...on the other hand, everything's coming up milhouse.

I need to remind myself to cancel some stuff from Amazon, great stuff coming up next week.

People on Blu-Ray.com even mention going to a .99 cent store and buying .25 cent dvds and trading them into BBY. I've traded a ton already, still need to make a list for some more transactions before stuff gets scarce.

Doesn't "Descendants" come with a $4 off manu coupon for "My Week with Marylin"? Would be a nice plus to be able to get another $4 off on top of a $5 off bb coupon.

M

Descendants was a great movie and I'm all over that for $15. Also going after Community Season 2 for $15 with the trade-in special going on!

I knew I should have bought more $0.99 DVDs at Black Friday! Guess there is no where to get $0.99 DVD movies anywhere (it'd still be at least a $4 discount with a upgrade and save... trying o get some summer of actions as we well)

Dollar store. ;)
Dollar store. ;)
oh yes!!! haha I didn't even think about that! Maybe the dollar tree around me will have some...

For those that want the 3D version, Cap and Thor are $24.99 now in 3D.
$19.99 after Upgrade.
So grab them before they go up on Sunday.

There was a $3 manufacturer coupon on Tintin stuck to the outside of the Blu-Ray (non-3D) combo pack that may still be valid.

It'll stack with the U&S coupon, so it'll be $11.99 after both coupons. Both coupons will work because the $3 coupon is a manufacturer coupon.

Coupon was only good until March 31st.

I hit a 99 cent store last week and got 14 movies. The girls behind the counter laugh at the selections I bring in every day. One of the dudes at the front door wanted to put a football one (with Chad Johnson before he was Ochocinco) on instead of the Shakira concert on. Funny stuff.

I'll be in for more this week depending on how my job goes tomorrow. I got like, 3-4 trips worth of movies this past week.

I too am waiting for Thor to hit $15. Grumble.
make sure it's the green case as the normal blue case version is still $15....

oh and all of these prices are already live, and have been for awhile, or at least in the case of the Marvel movies.

Only had the blue case at my store. Rang up at $15 but they adjusted it at the register (actually didn't even look at the shelf tag, ad or anything. Probably could've gotten the clearly apathetic employee to PM just about anything. Damned honesty.)
Majority of them is movie only but I heard some of them do have special features.

The DVD/Blu-ray is still usable after they stamp them. They stamp them on the middle plastic ring not the readable area of the disc. It just says "Walmart Entertainment".

That's weird. Does that make it illegal to sell dvd/blurays after walmart gave you the digital copy?

Neither Dollar Tree around me had DVDs :whistle2:/ -- Didn't even see the spot where they would have gone! Guess maybe the ones near me do not stock the $1 DVDs...

Maybe I'll go to the Mom and Pops Gaming/Movie place and see if they have any cheap DVDs, but I doubt it... guess there are always yard sales! ha

And thanks for the the When Harry Met Sally deal!
That's weird. Does that make it illegal to sell dvd/blurays after walmart gave you the digital copy?
No you can still re-sell them and keep the digital copies you paid for. The stamping is just to prevent a 2nd hand user from doing the same thing.;)

If anybody picked-up Hugo I just want to let you know that I was able to use the Digital Copy code to get the Ultraviolet copy, Itunes copy, and a $14.99 credit to use towards the purchase of the film on Amazon Instant, or possibly another film. So, give it a try and see if it works for you.

Edit: I was also able to connect my Ultraviolet account to Vudu and now it is on that as well.

My local Dollar Tree had a table out last week with some shit assed movies on it... Some were $1, but a good portion of the ones that were left (they were in the slim DVD cases) were some sort of Sony promo and they were only 25 cents... Can't beat that to get some U&S coupons to carry for a couple of weeks and watch the sales ;)
Will best buy allow price matching in conjunction with coupons as long as they are still over 9.99?
No, I stated earlier that I tried this and even had the manager allow us to try it. Their systems won't allow both a price match and a $5 off coupon.

I have a couple of dvds that's in blockbuster cases, it even have the logo inside the case. Are these still good to go? Thanks.

Missed that apparently. Thanks

I traded some in from a local video store with a generic case and stickers galore and was accepted. The only thing they seemed adamant about was the condition of the disks and to verify it was the right movie in the cases.

This go around I simply took Best Buy exclusive bonus discs and put them in slim cases with the inserts from the actual DVD cases that contain the chapter listings as the covers to the case, and they took them. All they did at my store was open them to see if disc are in there.

That's a shame, as they're still on-pack as of yesterday.

I feel bad for all the times you've missed out on this deal.

I think I just got cheated.

I turned in 4 movies for upgrade and save and picked up Captain America, Thor, Iron Man 2, and Incredible Hulk blu-rays. Hulk rang up as $14.99 ($9.99 after upgrade and save). I told them that I saw it for $9.99 on their website and their ad. They looked it up online and said it was $14.99. I bought it anyways and went to a different best buy to get it price matched. They too told me I was wrong. I showed them the $9.99 one on their website from my phone, they checked their website and said the $9.99 is a version of the blu-ray they don't carry in stores and refused to price match it.

It's only a $5 difference at the end of the day, but I still feel like this is some major BS.

How did you get 2 digital copies and how did you get the $15 credit at amazon? Is this possible with other digital copies? i have about 20 digital codes from movies i've bought over the last month i will never use unless i can stream them from a "cloud" service to my ps3 or vudu blu ray player.

When I went to Best Buy this afternoon, they never even gave me the coupons. I turned in my DVDs at customer service and the girl working the counter told me to bring the blu-rays I wanted to her. She then rang me out there, scanning the coupons for each movie. I ended up getting:

Conan the Barbarian ($4.99)
Conan the Destroyer ($4.99)
Big ($4.99)
The Boondock Saints ($4.99)
To Catch A Thief ($9.99)
