do they take old movies like police academy?
The age of the movie does not matter. Heck based on the wording the playability of the movie doesn't matter either. It just needs to be in the retail packaging.

Also, I called my local theater and they said you can use two of the Batman vouchers on a single ticket. This may be YMMV, but no where on the voucher does it say limit 1 voucher per ticket.
No. They just look at the condition of it and then give you $5 off. I always take my DVDs and the Blu Rays I'm going to purchase up to CS at the same time for one easy transaction. The first time I did it was during the first Trade & Save and I was their first customer to do it, but I just took my DVDs up and got coupons. I didn't use them that same day and when I tried to use on my next visit they wanted to see a receipt that they were now giving out with the coupons. Luckily, I convinced them that I didn't get a receipt.
Awesome thanks a bunch.

Totally forgot that premiere silver gets an extended return period. So glad I didnt open my Batman steelbooks, time to do a return rebuy!

You could have opened them, you just need to bring in the receipt. But your copy for $5 then return it with the old coupon

Yea at my regal I went to the ticket counter and tried to use all three of my Amazing Spiderman tickets and the person said he couldn't do that. I asked him to get his manager and she came out and promptly redeemed them for me. So at least at Regal it can be done.

I hope I can find a copy of "My cousin vinny" in store somewhere (currently 9.99 on website).
Also I think "Butterfly effect" is supposed to be released at 9.99.

My store has had this out for a week and a half now.
What is the correct sku of the $10 mission impossible ghost protocol blu ray when the deal goes live?
Bestbuy.com has two listings (one for $20 and one for $30):

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol

SKU: 4983734

Format: Blu-ray Disc

Rating: PG-13

Release Date: 4/17/2012

OR

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (Best Buy)

SKU: 4947863

Format: Blu-ray Disc

The first one is more than likely the one... the second one is the Best Buy exclusive, but if that one goes down to $9.99 as well then that will bea great deal!

When you take in the vouchers always find the courtesy desk. The cashier has to type in each one and it's a pain, and slows their line down so of course they are gonna say they cant do it.

yup, seems to be right. BB's online prices have updated for the week and the 1st one dropped down to 9.99 while the second one (BB exclusive) is still holding at 29.99.

Just to make sure I'm clear before I go to best buy today - So, I go to customer service with 3 dvds, they give me 3 $5 coupons. Can I then buy 3 seperate blu rays iand use a coupon for each all in the same transaction?

Yes. You can do up to 5 trades in one transaction.
Saw that The 5th Element Blu is 9.99 this week, too...
Sick. I might grab that. Thanks for the heads up.
Yes. You can do up to 5 trades in one transaction.
And its also 5 coupons a day right? So I can only trade in 5 DVDs max today.

$5 Batman Steelbooks...might as well; I'm trading in my copies of Spider-Man 1, 2, and 2.1 to get 1 & 2 on Blu-ray. My copy of the first film is a deluxe edition that has a bonus disc, but it's housed in its own case so here's hoping that I'm given 4 coupons to make it reeeeaaal simple. $30+tax out of pocket for 4 Blu-rays that will net me $10 Batman movie cash and $20 Spider-Man movie cash? Hell. Yes. Made all the sweeter by the $20 gift card I have to put towards it, and the fact that I can trade in my old BRs of the Batman films at my local MovieStop...

FYI, not sure if it was posted but my BB got fully restocked on Batman steels and previously I think only the Dark Knight had the $5 movie cash but now both do. So basically you're paying tax if you and a friend plan on going to Rises this week.

traded in two old dvds. Really quick process, they don't even check ID or take info, just check the discs and give you the coupons and receipt. Picked up Batman Begins and Dark Knight steelbooks, with coupons for $10 and they each came with $5 movie cash so what a steal.

traded some dvds for
-ice age 1-3 ea has a $5 movie cash
-begins + dark knight steelbooks $5 movie cash
-mission impossible 4 cost me $5bucks

good deal

Well, I tried hard to get the BBuy exclusive edition, and it didn't fly. I talked with two employees, and they were both friendly and generally sympathetic to my cause, but they said they couldn't do it. The bonus content on the BBuy one sounds nice, but I couldn't pass up the regular for $5!

Also got the Paramount 100th editions of SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT and THE STING for $8 after coupon. There's an endcap with about 15 of the P100th Blus for $13-15. Good scores! TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD was OOS, or I would've gotten that, too. AMERICAN GRAFITTI and PARENTHOOD were other $13 titles that I remember.

I upgraded to the Steelbook Batman Begins Blu-Ray and didn't notice until I got home that some asshole ripped off the Dark Knight Rises $5 movie cash voucher off the front of my case. I should have paid attention before I brought it up to the register.

So don't forget to make sure your copy includes the movie cash voucher sticker on the front case.

Wow, the $10 Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol blu-rays sold out fast at my local best buys. I saw a long stack of them this morning. By the time I made my online purchase and went to pick up my order (including one MI: GP) they were gone from the shelves. And the inventory checker confirmed they were suddenly sold out.

yup, when i bought my steelbooks about a week ago half of the steelbooks were missing the 5 dollar voucher.

Heck, I got a couple of region 2 DVDs that I like to trade in but the UPC code may not be valid for US/Canada.

Do they scan the old/used DVDs?

They don't scan the DVDs.

Paranormal Activity 3 is also $9.99.

It's $7.99 now and ineligible for the sale.

Traded in 5 more $0.25 DVDs from Dollar Tree today... and then realized that the only thing I REALLY want are the Battlestar Galactica BRs... I'm going to pick them up when I get my gas check this week. $60 for as series that I can watch a couple of times more is pretty damn good.

What? Dollar Tree got 25c DVDs :?:

For anyone that bought the combo packs of Ice Age 1 & Ice Age 2, would you mind posting the SKU # for each item from your receipt? I ran by one BB to pick up the first two movies in the combo packs and they were completely gone. I didn't think I'd have issues finding them on BestBuy.com, though they don't come up by title search. Having the SKU # of each item would make it easier to search, especially when it doesn't come up.
I went to Dollar Tree yesterday but all the DVDs rang up for $1. How are people getting them for $0.25?
I'd be happy with $1 DVDs. The Dollar Tree closest to me only had $3+ DVDs. No point iin doing $3 and up DVDs for Trade & Save. And yes, it's still $2, though it's less than $2 after tax on the purchase.

Multi-DVD packs for $3, I'd be fine with that.

Anyone know what went down with Lockout at Best Buy? No store within my radius had it in stock and looking at other forums, finding Lockout seems to be few and far between. Some people didn't even get Get the Gringo or Salmon Fishing in the Yemen at theirs.

Mine had like 17 copies of "The Basketball Fix" for $0.25... Not any more, but they did :) the others they had were a buck.
