I just ordered Condemned and Amped 3 for the advertised $18.99. The Outfit was showing $9.99 but was listed as "coming soon". DVD sales were also up.

Shipping sucks, but at least I don't have to worry about picking them up in the chaos tomorrow.

Out of curiousity, I had my father do a drive by the CC and Best Buy on his way home from dinner at my house. He called me up right after and told me that it was a ridiculously long line at Best Buy. This was at midnight. He said CC was a little bit shorter. I couldn't believe him. We discussed the sad state of the human condition when people are willing to sink as low as acting like homeless people on Thanksgiving Day in order to save a few dollars. He said they honestly looked like homeless people camping out in the cold. Imagine, if you were to tell me that there were people who would voluntarly give up a nice evening in a nice warm home with their families and stand out in the cold, I would think you were crazy. But its true, and they are doing it in droves. Pathetic... I think a very self concious news reporter should do a piece about it.
 
Yeah. I just hit up the Best Buy. I got there about two minutes after they opened, and the line was still entering. It was 5:05 before I was even in the store.

I was hoping to get that 19" Samsung widescreen monitor for $129 (Normally $249), and it was long gone before I even got to the computer section. Ugh. Pathetic.

Time for me to get some sleep.

With the PS3 I can *almost* understand someone standing out in line for hours and hours to get it, but these deals aren't *that* good. I just got back from an ill-considered trip out to the mall area and I came back empty-handed. I didn't even think about going Best Buy, but everywhere is pretty crazy.
 
Woot, typing now on my *new* Westinghouse 22 inch Widescreen monitor :) Left my house at around 5:01 and drove to the nearest Best Buy. There were literally probably 250+ people there and the lines were moving slow as anything. So I drove onto the highway up to a Best Buy like 20 miles away. Got there and I saw people walking out with the 22 inch monitor box, I was kind of dissapointed, but I was still determined as there was no line outside the Best Buy. I got in and looked around and couldn't find my monitor :( Eventually I just grabbed a 19 inch that was on sale. As I was walking with that I spotted where they kept the Westinghouses and saw there were no 22 inches left so I grabbed a 19 inch of that to see how much it was on sale for. 230 I think the price was. Then, I gave up. Screw this monitor, its not the one I came for. As I was walking to leave I see a big white box with 22 on it. I hurry up and get to it and some guy starts looking at it to, and while he's standing there thinking, I grab my new monitor. Then I waited 2 hours in liine. Too bad I forgot about the $5 100 DVD-R sale :/

I used to enjoy going to the Black Friday deals, but this year...the checkout lines were just way too long. I went, found most of the more available things that I had wanted, being the 360 games...but after waiting a few minutes, assuming the lines were simply ending around the corner....alas, it looked to be a 2 hour + wait. Forget that. I'll buy these games at these savings sooner or later.
 
Man, all the doom and gloom people who said "Oh, you do in-store pickup you won't get your items, BB will screw you" were completely off.

Got the email at 5:14 am that my items are ready for pickup and to come Friday after 1pm to pick them up.

Yay!

Lol. This sux. That was gonna be my "big" gift for Christmas. No way will my mom drop $300 on a monitor.
 
No news if our 360 games shipped yet, but I'll take it that our Circuit City order did and they were placed at the same time.

The Best Buy in West Paterson, NJ had 800 people at 3am. Madness! I was at Circuit City, thanksfully.

EDIT: Confirmed, our BB shipment has been sent. Thanks OP.. would have missed out otherwise.

Yes, I agree. I completely underestimated the lines; they were nuts! I think it almost took me as long to checkout as it did waiting for the items in front of the store. I did get some great deals though!

Yeah, I got my email too :). All I ordered for in-store pickup was just dvds and cds so I didn't want to take a chance and have to wait in line just for those. I'll pick those up Monday since I have 8 days before the order is canceled. Thanks, OP this was very convenient. Now as long as my $20 Canon printer ships I'll be really happy.

I also ended up stopping at Best Buy today (about 15 minutes after they opened) to get the 4 pack Mini DV tapes and a 20 pack of the LightScribe DVD+Rs. An employee in the Media department showed me where they were and I was able to pay for them in the same department right away. As I was walking to my car I remembered that I forgot MI:3 for $8 so I went back in and paid for it at the same place. Looking at their main line to pay for stuff, it was huge and there was no way it would of been worth it to wait. Ended up getting in and out with both purchases in about 15-20 minutes. :D

I probably stopped at about 6 stores today and everybody was pretty nice and civil to each other. Good deal.
 
I ended up missing my alarm clock (My Mom was up and didn't even wake me. I will never forgive her.), so I missed out on the 22" Monitor, but I picked up COD2 for $15 after GGC, a few DVDs for $5 and $10, and a 1GB USB stick. I was going to pick up Condemned, but she wouldn't sell it to me for being underage and that. fucking abnoxious.
 
Since I went for Friday prayers, a Best Buy was on my way. So after I stopped by and bought Table Tennis !

Thanks guys, there was no price tag on them but it rang to $20, the whole row was full of them :)

I went pretty late and there was no line...

Oh and Pyro, do you think they allow you to call you parent to give permission to purchase the game?
 
Does anyone know if CC will PM the BB.com price that is marked on the BB.com as sold out?

I want to print out that ad, go to CC, and have CC PM the BB ad even though it says sold out on the BB.com ad print out.
 
I got to BB at 5:50a thinking that no one would want the 22" monitor, boy was I wrong the sales people told me people were almost fighting over them. I worked at 9a and it was not worth it to drive home so I grabbed the $20 printer, the outfit and table tennis and waited in line. 90 min later I am in front of the pc section talking to an employee, when another employee walks up and tells the one i was talking to that he found this 22" monitor in wireless and that it needs to be sold. Needless to say I am now typing this on my 22" lcd connected to my macbook, with a $19.99 printer, the cheapy mp3 player and a stack of dvds/xbox games behind me.

Man am I tired!
 
I guess the deals I wanted weren't in high demand, since I was able to nab the PS2 value pack at around noon as well as the portable hard drive and some of the 360 games.
 
recieved my printer via ups today... that was pretty fast although bestbuy didnt even bother putting the printer in a box to ship it... shipped it in the normal box the printer comes in lol
