I can finally justify getting FF X-2. I just can't see me liking this game, but I do want to try it and at that price, I can't pass it up.

You could buy it at CC but not for $49.99, it's $29.99 there now, but you could still buy it then price match it on Sunday with Targets ad and save $1.50.
I am wondering if any of these are online compatible. If so, you can PM at Bestbuy and then use the $5 off coupon. :)
Xbox
$16.88

Max Payne 2
Rainbow Six 3
NBA Street Vol 2

Take Care,
Matthew
Only Rainbow Six is XBL enabled

you go to the store and look and see if they have any of the advertised games out of stock, if you find any you ask them for a raincheck. their policy is that you can get a substitue at the same PERCENTAGE OFF. so if a 50 dollar game is 26 dollars, it's about 48% off any other game they have.

fireball343

That what i want... I think I endup pickup few "DUAL MASTER, Driver3, and coupon 40- 48% off Rain check" for future use :)

A TONs of GREAT games coming soon around September - Spring 2005 :)

i guess it's finally time to pick up FFX-2 since I missed out on the fry's deal 2 weeks ago... thanks, trust... =D

I'm so there for Super Monkey Ball 2! Too bad I already have FFX-2. Last game I spent the full 50 on.

I got Driv3r for $10 used at GameRush (it was complete and in PERFECT condition) and I don't feel ripped off if that gives a clue to anyone. Seriously, the game isn't that bad. I would give it a 7/10 for what I've played so far. I's not a great game or even a good game IMO, but it's still fun to play. GTA is better, so since they are the same price, GTA DP would be the better choice.

Methinks it's time to pick up RS3:BA and RDR at CC or BB, then PM it on the flip side on Sunday.

RS3:BA would be $25.57 off of the $39.99 price. (CC Price)
RDR would be $24.57 off of the $49.99 price. (CC Price)

It's not the PM + GGC routine, since that's quite YMMV, though that PM works out. Done it so far quite a few times, due to the good Trust info.
I hope X-2 or Driv3r sells out next week at my Target.
Me too, I'd really love to get fable for 26.88 at release.

Excellent deals, thanks! :D I'm going to try to pick up Red Dead Revolver, GTA DP, FFX2, and either Driver 3 or RS3:BA. Been waiting on RDR for a long time.

ok let me see if I got this right. If target doesn't have a game that was in the their ad. I get a raincheck coupon for any other game for 48%? Then I can use it whenever? Damn if that's true this fall is going to be gaming heaven for me.

If people don't know, Target has had a policy (on any advertised item) of offering disappointed customers a "substitute item" in the same category if the advertised item is out of stock. So, if you wanted a certain toy and it was out, you could sub a different toy for the same % off as the advertised one.

Some of us have been getting rainchecks (mostly for out-of-stock games we don't want) and buying substitute games at the % discount. It's working well for me, but abuse seems to have closed this loophole at some other stores. (I bought Riddick for $27, MegaMan for $16, True Crime for $11 . . . the rainchecks that I had were from VC and Manhunt sales.)

The key is to have the electronics personnel send the game up front to the checkouts and get a clueless clerk to ring it up, most will just follow policy and take the % off the game you want.

There have been some interesting ethical discussions about "raincheck abuse." Some CAGers feel this is illegal or immoral or wrong . . . I basically feel that if this is the store policy, we are doing nothing wrong in using it. They must have started this policy with the idea of keeping customers happy and in their store . . . its working with me

But I don't see anyone complaining about "abuse" of Best Buy's Gamer's Gift Card coupon. In the BB case, you put a small amount of money on a "gift" card which comes with a $5 off coupon for software or accessories $19.99 and up. Most people are redeeming the coupon themselves not giving the card and coupon as a gift.

Both of these are exploiting a weakness is store policy . . . are they wrong?
Thanks for the post. I hope I can get a raincheck so that I can use it on Hot Shots Golf Fore.
Ditto sir.

Argh I just bought Monkey Ball 2 less than a week ago. I saw it, was stunned, and had to buy it at $19.99... and now of course it's on sale for $16.88... true it's only about $3, but dammit.

Oh, just noticed something:

Harsh Realm: The Complete Series

Heh, I hope by "complete series" they mean more than they showed on Fox, they only aired 2 or 3 episodes before they canceled it

Presumably this means the 8 episodes that were actually done, maybe even a few more if they finished up the first season for Sci-Fi network or something. Anyone know how many episodes are in this set?

Thanks for the post. I already have the PC version of KOTOR but for $15 I think I'll grab the Xbox version too. Should be fun to play with the controller.
Bend over and I'll show you!
Or he could get it the easy way by picking up on of those free Gamepro magazines that they have sitting around at just about every best buy? That might not be as fun for you though. Meh, whatever floats your boat.

Ok, so I use the XBL coupon at BB to get KOTOR for $10. I use a pricematch at TRU to get FF X-2 and XBOX GTA so I can use my TRU Visa for a 4% kickback (or is the combined Reward Zone + TRU Visa 1% a better deal?) then sell my PS2 GTA II to make up some of the difference.

And BTW find a full-time dependable paycheck.

Busy Sunday.
can't wait to get my driver3 raincheck!! Does a game have to be OOS to get a raincheck?
Under what other circumstance would they offer a raincheck?

Only the stupidest people ask questions about the Target raincheck. Apparently its a real tough concept to grasp.

I might pick up Star Wars:KOTOR,thanks trustcompany1013

I'm picking up Super Monkey Ball 2 for sure, and I'm thinking of getting Rainbow six 3. I was wondering should I get RS3 or get black arrow, I haven't played either yet also do alot of ppl still play regular RS3 on XBL with black arrow out?
I knew it! I predicted that driver was gonna be cheap by mid-August, now I wonder if its worth picking up for that price?
Hastings sells used copies of Driv3r for 29

I will probably use the $3 Platinum Hits coupon (from MADDEN coupon book) at Best Buy to get KOTOR for $12....still have not played it as I'm not a BIG RPG fan, but it could be good if I get REALLY bored one day ;)
I'm wondering if FF X-2 will be a Greatest Hit soon since new FF games will be released shortly. If that's the case, I'm holding out for Best Buy so I can use the GGC and get it for $15.
I doubt it. It took FFX a year+.
