I just grabbed two of these at my local Best Buy, they were next to the Madden 2005 copies, I wasn't sure if you only got them by buying Madden 2k5, but whatever. Anyways, on with the contents...

The Xbox live kit coupons and the 20% any dvd coupons are the best I think. Hopefully others can find this coupon book.

I just saw a stack of them there; I thought we had to buy Madden to get it. I'll just get my friend who works there to score me some.
 
I'm mad about the lack of GCN support as well. And stores wonder why no one is buying GCN stuff?

Anyways, the 5 buck off game deals arn't too great, but remember, they can be used when the games drop below 20 bucks. The best coupons in here are for the Xbox live kits and the DVDs.

You're supposed to buy Madden to get it but it sounds like you can just pick it up.
 
be sure noone sees u cause some people got busted like this the last time they did this. they will call the cops on you if the find the book on you without the madden game
 
your only supposted to get the book if you buy madden, i always wait on the buy this get a free cd/dvd. i wait until the next week and buy it for 1-2 cents. this coupon book, i would do the same, but no guarantte it will still be there.
 
The employees didn't seem to care. I put two copies of the thing on the front counter when buying some games and they didn't say anything. Its just a coupon book.
 
I just picked up a 3 of those madden booklets & about 8 of those Gamepro.
No one said a word.

This was at the BB near the SeaTac Mall in WAshington state.
 
I picked up one earlier and used the $5 off rainbow six black arrow coupon combined with price match @ CC to get the game for $29.99 plus tax.....There so many of the books lying around you can't even walk through the aisles without tripping over one :boxing: But I only picked up one book....at least I saved using a GGC... :|
 
They had a free coupon book with a GC system purchase a long time ago. I picked a few up then without buying a system and no one seemed to care. They certainly weren't going to call the cops as someone suggested. The 20% DVD looks to be the best. Would be useful if you're buying any box sets or TV shows.
 
I got the coupon book today (they were out on the shelf) but the DVD coupon said it expires on 3/6/2004, all the other coupons expire at the end of the year. Is everyone's coupon book like this or did I get one with an error?
 
I also noticed that the DVD coupon says good through 3/6/2004. I'm guessing it is just an error and the coupon will work anyway.
 
I hope so, but knowing Best Buy with coupons, I am guessing I might have a problem (with the Nintendo coupon book, I had a coupon good for $5 off ANY Interact accessory, I take a $4.99 GBA case to the register and the cashier and manager both say the coupon is only for the link cable pictured on the coupon, even though the coupon had no restrictions. I wrote to Best Buy and their answer was what the manager said was final. So they may not want the DVD coupon because of the date.)
 
Yeah, I picked up a book yesterday too. The DVD coupon also does not state it has to be a REGULAR priced DVD. So, hopefully I can use this on the Star Wars Trilogy when it's on SALE and save even more. Who knows though, I'm sure they will bitch about it....but I could bitch back ;


PLEASE let me know if anyone uses the 20% off coupon on a SALE DVD. I just realized that Goodfellas SE DVD is coming out next week also

Since most of the games featured won't be released until the fall, it is highly unlikely that any of them will drop below $20 before 12/31. That IS a good deal for the dvd, and, unless you can get in on that retail special Microsoft has on starter kits, the live coupon is also are great deal.
 
I picked one up today. The book is labeled "Madden 2005 Coupon Book" or something like that. But it doesn't say on it anywhere (or on any signs in the store that I could see) that you only get the book with the purchase of Madden. Although it also doesn't say 'FREE' or 'Take One' anywhere on the book either.I didn't actually ask an employee, I just grabbed one.

I didn't notice the March expiration of the DVD coupon. Ugh, I imagine that might cause some headaches especially once the Madden '05 craze dies down and these books are all gone.
 
The DVD coupon date has to be an error. Madden just came out so the coupon is brand new. They should know that and accept. But this is Best Buy we are dealing with.

You can never combine coupons. This is the same for most stores. Rebates on the other hand.

Anyone try the DVD coupon yet?
 
Still haven't tried the DVD coupon yet. Waiting for my Best Buy to get the Zombi LE DVD in stock....I was going to get it online, but now they charge shipping.

Oh well, I hope it works....as it seems all the coupon books have disappeared from most BB
 
Has anyone been able to get the new Metroid coupon book? My local Best Buy said they gave them all away, when they probably never even got them.
 
I used the DVD coupon today. Sucker actually scans properly (i.e. the cashier didn't have to manually take off 30%) and the guy had no problem letting me use it.
 
There is a Gamecube coupon book seperately that I saw. It has some of the same sort of 'save $5 on future new release game" coupons. It has pikmin 2, thug 2 , shark tale, nascar 2005, def jam 2, lemony snicket, donkey konga, paper mario 2, metroid prime 2, and some accessory coupons,

I was able to get one of the coupon books - said anything about taking it. I even stood there and talked with one of their representatives for about 15 minutes with it in my hands. I don't think they really care. - I could be wrong :D - BB - SLC,UT
 
I was just at my Best Buy on Sunday(which just had it's grand opening last Friday) and I seen these coupon books. I picked one up and was going to take it, but I didn't know if they would allow that since I knew it was supposedly only with a Madden 2005 purchase.

If I go back, I will use the coupon on the $3 off a PH hits and pick up KOTOR for $17,
 
I picked up four of these babies yesterday.

Hell, the guy at the register even mentioned that they needed to be scanned, and he did, even though I wasn't buying the game.

The 20% off coupon shouldn't be a problem if you bring the whole book with you and point out that it's fucked up. No coupon book ON EARTH would have one coupon in it that expired 5 months before all the others START.

I used a 20% coupon for this exact DVD (Goodfellas). It came to$ 12.xx with the sale price and discount, so the coupon can stack with sale prices.

If you wait till the week of the 22nd. KOTOR will be on sale for $15....and if they let you use the $3 coupon....$12 is not a bad price. I may finally pcik it up for that price....although I have too many games to play already.
 
I was just in Best Buy (Durham, NC) last night and they wouldn't accept the coupon. They also said I couldn't apply coupons to items I was price matching (in this case the B5 Movie Collection with Circuit City).

I just called 1-888-BESTBUY and talked to someone who said he had not heard anything about a typographical error, and if the store would not accept the coupon I had no recourse.

I lodged a complaint for Best Buy being so stupid as to release a coupon book with an expired coupon in it.
 
I picked up a couple of books from my local BB. Those 20% off DVD coupons will come in handy from now until March of next year. Might have to pick up a few more books next time I'm there.

I bought one (KOTOR) on Sunday using the $5 off XBL software coupon in the coupon magazine they have for free (the one with Madden on the cover). Came to $10. I think some Best Buys are out of those mags now though :( but many still have them.
