It might be a fairly poor game, but that's a pretty crazy discount on Operation Racoon City after...2 months? The Black Ops controller would be great though for that price, that's about as cheap as a second controller can get (should work nicely as a PC gamepad as well).

I dont know...I guess the 9.99 for Madden and 11.99 for Darkness II spoiled me because 17.99 and 19.99 for RE and Silent Hill sounds like a little too much.

I don't think I'll bite unless the actual prices are 14.99 or less. Because at 19.99 or close, these games will be that price soon anyway and with a backlog as big as mine I can wait.

Am I the only one that remembers RE ORC was actually a DoTD last month...

For $29.99!!!

I still have that receipt. I bought it for a friend. Would love one for myself at this "newly discounted" price. And remember the BB version has their own DLC for this. Forgot what it was though.

I want more $4.99 Games!! :bouncy:

Damn. Definitely going to have to try out raccoon city at that price. Might ponder on silent hill as well. Last one I played was 4.

Yeah, but back then I thought that games value was 29.99 out of the gate anyway. The last game that got such fantastic reviews was Duke Nukem and if I remember right, I eventually grabbed that for like 4.99 or something from BB.

Silent Hill...I may look into that one though...but again I see my backlog and think...is this a game that will be 19.99 soon anyway? Should I use the last 20 in RWZ on it or wait since the RWZ certificate doesnt expire until November? hrmmmm....

i personally now decide on whether i will find it again for that cheap or at all and what prioritiy i will give it? will it instantly fall to game number 300 on the backlog or is it one that will shoot to one of the top 5 spots? for me RE will shoot to one of the top 5 spots and so would silent hill if i got both of them.

How is that Call of Duty controller? Does it help out at all with gameplay? I've heard of controllers that give people an unfair advantage in COD.

I'm with you, bro. I was looking forward to getting RE: ORC until I read about how broken the game was with both Gamespot and IGN giving it a 2/5 stars. I may still pick it up for around $9.99, but definitely not for $18 when gems like Madden 2012 was $9.99 just a few weeks ago.

I don't believe I'd call Madden 12 a gem dude. I buy Madden every year and I thought it sucked.

While not the game of the year RE: ORC is much better then given credit for; especially the multiplayer.

They are spoiling you at $17.99. You won't see a price near that again until Black Friday. Hell it's never even gotten to $40 at AZ and they don't have exclusive DLC in theirs.

I would never trust RE Reviews---play the game for yourself. Too many sour grapes from people who aren't pleased with how the franchise has left its "survival horror" roots.
That's what it looks like. They're trying to rid leftover stock. Finding those will be like an Easter egg hunt if that stock locator stays the same.
I've actually seen 1-2 of them at one of the local stores here, so chances are the locator links are just not showing them because it's under 3 in inventory for many(most) stores. That's what I've heard for years regarding stock levels at BB.

So I guess this means if people wanna try finding one in store they have to go out on the day the deal is live and try to find one.

But like I said, I swear I've seen these at my one of my closest two stores. For $10 I'll likely pick up a third party controller. Then again, I still have one of those $10 Rocketfish ones that they clearanced a few years ago that I could use.;)
Then again, I still have one of those $10 Rocketfish ones that they clearanced a few years ago that I could use.;)
That's assuming that you want to play using the Xbox-inspired offset control sticks that the $10 Rocketfish had. The $10 COD controller has the more PS3-friendly side-by-side sticks.

I may have to re-buy ORC. I got in on the Target deal where the steelbook version was half-price the week after it came out and just traded it in (disc only due to steelbook) to BB last week to get the 110% bonus. Even better if it has some BB-only bonus stuff.

I may have to do this as well and just hope that the "deal" is legitimate. Get $25.20 for my copy and re-buy it for $17... hrm.. :whistle2:k

Hmm.. Since your stores are saying unavailable, but you've seen 1 or 2, I may check a store or 2....if this sale happens.

Thanks!

That's what I did with Ratchet & Clank:ACIT($14.70). I'll be busy with the free R&C:A41, from PSN, anyhow. Now, to find 1 of those $6 Kmart copies...

But, I see your concern on IF these deals will happen. TIV might go to $8, lol.

I got so used to the old school Xbox controller layout that it felt weird going back to the PS2/PS3 format controllers. The indented sticks on the Xbox and I think the Rocketfish controllers are nice though. It fits your thumb pretty well.

I actually added those trigger extensions to my Dual Shock 3 since my fingers kept slipping off the L2/R2 buttons this gen. They make it much easier to control the cars in games like GTA imo.
But, I see your concern on IF these deals will happen. TIV might go to $8, lol.
If these deals do happen, I would say to get there bright and early the morning of the deal to trade in, since if the tiv is gonna tank it's gonna do so during the day(if it doesn't prior to the deal going live).

Those rocket fish suck...i know, i bought one off you. Joystick had allot of wiggle and the triggers lagged. Oh and it won't hold a charge! Last time I buy from iatcg ( i kid, probably just a dud)
I've actually seen 1-2 of them at one of the local stores here, so chances are the locator links are just not showing them because it's under 3 in inventory for many(most) stores. I talked to a gamers club employee and he said they haven't carried the black ops controllers for months, so it will probably be a shipping only option for those.

Sorry to hear about the issues with the controller I sold ya. I don't know how long they sat on the shelf at BB before they finally clearanced them. If anything, I'd see if there's someplace to grab a $3-4 replacement battery from and swap that out.

When I had one of those RF controllers and was using it myself the triggers were weaker than a normal DS3, the battery life just sucked on them(talking 3-4 hour charge from full charge till when it'd start blinking to recharge:cry:) and the PS button took hitting it in a specific way to bring up and get out of the XMB.:whistle2:#
It would be nice if the ORC deal is Best Buy's Limited Edition version with the bonus dlc.
That is the only copy that my Best Buy currently carries; when they had it as the DOTD several weeks ago for $29.99 that was the version (Limited Edition---not to be confused with the Special Edition [i.e. steelbook]) that the sale price applied to

better get there super earliy since you'll be competing with those on SD and other deal sites since apparently we like to port deals now.

But don't worry because like someone else mentioned everyone is "entitled" to deals.

i'm putting a lot of faith in batman being a $20 DOTD on 6/13. today i traded in my unplayed copy from the @gamer promo they had a few months back. so i got $25.20 credit for it (basically made $15 by trading it in). only one store in my area has batman AC (non-GOTY) in stock so i bought it so i can price match it when the DOTD happens. i also bought the GOTY version just in case that's the one that ends up being DOTD (i know fat chance but i have the cash to do it). so now i am sitting on 2 unopened copies of batman AC -- haha.

According to the one user on SD(paayter) who said they work for BB, these DOTD deals were supposedly cancelled via memo. So IF these deals even happen now it'll be a nice surprise.
There is also a Gaming DOTD scheduled for tomorrow according to the website so looks like there will be one not on that list as well.
BB.com is down again for scheduled maintenance. I wonder if it will be back up in time for the DotD as it's gaming related.
Is Tera doing bad? I wasn't expecting it to go on sale already.
Tera is probably tanking because it is censored all to hell. I don't know what the developers were thinking. I'm not a Windows guy anyway so it doesn't matter to me, but it is still stupid.

I'll be picking this up even though I don't have a vita yet. Hehe! Have to start building up my cheap vita library
Is this game worth $12?
I think this might be as cheap as it's going to be for a while, it may go sub $10 in a year or two.

If you played the PS3 version and liked it then you may like the portable version. It's a cool game for a few quick races but it's no Mario Kart if that's what you want.
Is this game worth $12?
It's gotten a lot of mediocre reviews and a few bad ones. It's actually missing multiplayer as well - a lot of reviews say it's a 'lazy port' of the original.
I'll be picking this up even though I don't have a vita yet. Hehe! Have to start building up my cheap vita library
me too it'll sit next to the pile of Wii titles waiting to be played when I get a $50 Wii.
Is this game worth $12?
It's decent. If you're in need of a portable kart racing fix and don't have Mario Kart on 3DS this one is a go. Atleast until LBP Karting comes out.

Oh and no multiplayer.

can't say no to a $12 vita game lol, just wish this was the DOTD today since I had just gone and picked up DAII earlier. Oh well, keep it up Best Buy!
