I just got back from my local best buy. I used the sale to transfer my $30 reward zone certificate to a trade in card. Bought 2 copies of downpour (for ps3 and xbox). Traded in the xbox copy for $21 am keeping the ps3 copy to play.

Oddly, it didn't ring up $20 each in store. They needed to price match the website. This was about 1 hr. after the website went live. Guess their system lags behind the website a little bit, because I didn't have this problem with Raccoon City.

I'm in Hawaii so the website went live after 7pm here. I picked it up at best buy because the local store closes at 9pm. Didn't even bother ordering online. Just walked in and picked the games off the shelf.

In any case, the dlc codes that the game comes with are universal. Both the xbox and ps3 version came with the code 911977. The codes are supposedly retailer specific. Enter the codes in various green lockers throughout the game to get extra weapons. The only codes I know of are 353479, 171678, 911977. I'm assuming the other two are for gamestop and amazon.

Believe me Downpour is alot better than RE:ORC but you could still not like it.I got 1000/1000 and after I realized I didn't have that much fun.There were a few parts of the game that were good and there were some things that will drive you nuts.

According to Cheat Code Central, those codes are a 'cheat mode', so folks may not want to enter them without further researching what they do. I know that in some games if you enter a cheat code you can't get trophies/achievements and I know there's a lot of people who seem to only play games for that #*^@ anymore on here.

Anyway, here's what they give you according to CheatCC:

From the reviews Ive read, this is the first Silent Hill in a while to go sorta back to its survival horror roots. Which is why I think I will pick this one up. Played Silent Hill 1,2,3 and loved em all. Have not touched any since.

I played the original Silent Hill multiple times. Yet when the sequels came out I bought them for $30 or so($10 for SH4: The Room) and I played them for maybe 2-3 hours each and was bored shitless.

Same thing happened this gen with Bioshock. I played the original and finished it in 2-3 days of really trying to explore everywhere they allowed you to go & explore. When the sequel came out, I played through maybe an hours' worth of it and never picked it up again before trading it. What's funnier is that I then picked up the LE of it from Target for $18, traded the game after trying it again and kept the extras(which are still sitting in my closet collecting dust).

I'm a big fan of silent hill and loved downpour. Just dont go in expecting amazing gameplay. But the atmosphere and story are pretty good. If you're a fan of silent hill at all pick it up - don't listen to those ridiculous reviews. Its easily worth $20.

I told a friend a few days ago about this deal. He is the type of gamer who doesn't feel like putting in a little effort to save some money is worth it because he works so much, which is valid to an extent.

I told him that BB was going to have SHD for $20 on Tuesday and he was really interested in it, esp for that price. The thing is the BB.com was showing no store pickup available for his area last week. So I told him that means his store has between 0 and 2 copies in stock so he needs to get there when they open.

He got there, found the last copy in stock and he finally understood the benefits of being a frugal/cheap gamer. Hopefully he'll learn from this experience. Now to go get my copy at my store
