Speed wheel is an excellent thing to pair w/ Forza Horizon. Normally a $100 setup for $35? Ridiculous. Gameplay w/ the wheel is intoxicating - I just drove around for hours on one of the first days.
DotD is disappointing today. :'c
C'mon, holding a pseudo steering wheel in mid-air is sick. All the kool kidz are doing it. I see Sony has their own version now.

Extra street cred if you make "vroom! vroom!" sounds while wrestling violently with your pseudo steering wheel in mid-air, the better to counteract those vibrations transmitted through the wheel from the... the... the Force. Yeah.
How is this racing wheel? I already have the one they released years ago, it's really cool just a pain in the ass pull out.
The wheel is actually pretty sweet. It works like it should for what it is. I have the big Microsoft wheel set up as well that just sits in the closet because it's just too much crap to drag out along with the stand. For $20, you can't go wrong.

Not the best representation, but it'll do. I've had both v1 and v2 of the "large" wheel and I much prefer the Wireless speed wheel to them. Even to my old PS2 GT wheel. Accelerometer tech has come so far, and the triggers on this thing are tops. An easy buy if you love racers.

From the quick look I gave it doesn't really say but I am nearly positive that it doesn't.
Did a google search and after some digging i saw an amazon review mention that it doesn't. Which i find very interesting. I'll probably pick this up tomorrow to play forza and NFS. Worst case scenario i return it.

Awesome! I'm waiting for Forza Horizon to show up from a BF deal; now the wheel is at a great price. I have $45 in BB rewards to spend.

There are triggers but no bumper buttons. It also doesn't require Kinect. I bought the wheel a few months ago with Forza 4 and it's actually pretty fun to use. Having a wheel that's anchored down to something is obviously more realistic, but the size and ease of use of this wireless wheel makes it much more practical (and still fun).

They literally had it for sale all weekend on the Microsoft store's website for $14.99. Grabbed it a few hours ago. Now I'm just debating whether or not if I want this wheel. It sounds like with the exception of Forza, it's kind of a pain remapping buttons and whatnot for other racing games, or that it doesn't work well with other racing games at all. (read this on a Amazon user review) =S

Kind of want the wireless wheel, but it's yet another thing that they refuse to ship APO for no reason and they want $5 standard shipping to a stateside address. Have to think on it.

Edit: It says free shipping on the top banner (excluding marketplace items and special order-types things, which this is neither), yet every shipping option shows a price for me. All the stuff I bought on BF was free, but not this.
I was gonna submit a PM request to Amazon, but I see it is the same price there. Now I don't have to be upset about ordering from Best Buy, since Amazon will ship damn near anything to an APO and have it here in 6 days.

Damn I must have missed the sale at the Microsof store, and I was just at the Boston location Friday. Looks like I'm on for $20, thanks for everyone's input on the controller!

Picked up 2 of the wireless wheels. one for a christmas gift and one for me :D will go nicely with my forza horizon that just came in. thanks for the heads up guys

I called Bestbuy.com, and they were going to waive the shipping for me. I had a 20 dollar reward zone certificate from the DIshonored Preorder, and I wanted to use it. They said since the certificate was $20.00 and the price was $19.99, I had to buy something else. They wouldn't let me waive the penny. So while we tried to figure out what else I could get, they ran out of stock for shipping and I couldn't get it shipped. I could still get it at store, but I don't care enough about thewheel to bother. If I could have got it for free with a certificate and no effort, I'd take it, but I already put in more effort than it was worth just calling them and dealing with their phone service. All I wanted it for was for my son to play with it on Need for Speed Most Wanted. I'll save the certificate for something else.

I just ordered this wireless wheel from amazon. can't wait to play NSFMW!

Picked one up at amazon. Had $10 in credit and canceled an order for God of War Ascension CE that was paid off in credit. Then I placed the order for the wheel and replaced the order for God of War CE. Basically it leaves me with $10 to pay on God of War, but I have 3-4 months to do that which should be easy.

Ordered one with free expedited shipping for silver... Will go nicely with most wanted and horizon I just picked up. I'm sure the lady friend will love it too

I figured what the heck and ordered the wheel to go along with my $15 forza horizon. Honestly, your comment pushed me into the decision. You best not be wrong my friend. lol. :bouncy:

So, any idea what may be going on sale tonight?
**keeps fingers crossed for some launch vita game deals and/or awesome $5 games**

I am pretty excited to use this. I have Forza 4 and Horizon as well as NFS The Run (which overall I regret paying $20 for it last BF...but it is what it is). Kinda wish I got NFS Most Wanted on the 360 now...oh well.

Dude most wanted is fun as hell.

Its single player is meh but the multiplayer I can't even begin to say how fun it is. Seriously I instantly liked it more than horizon. So much damn fun.

Pick it up from amaon for PC for 20?

I forgot to say that I bought it for PS3 for $30 from BB. I am just saying I wish I got it for 360 instead.

I seriously can't thank you guys enough that recommended the xbox wireless racing wheel. I just got home with it a few hours ago and have been using it to playing Forza 4 since then.

My impressions/mini-review:

The build quality is excellent. It feels solid and has a good weight too it, not too heavy. I've been playing Forza 4 for 3 hours with it and my arms aren't tired.

The wheel seems to match 1:1 with the racers hands while in the cockpit view. Very impressive. No lag, very responsive. I actually feel I have better control over the cars now than I did with the standard controller. The rumble feedback is actually very well done as well. Scraping walls and getting bumped by other racers really make me feel more immersed in the experience. The triggers (used for braking and acceleration) are pressure sensitive and are much larger than the standard xbox triggers. This allows for more precision while accelerating and braking. They have a great feel to them. The designers of this wheel really did well.

The only drawback seems to be the lack of shoulder buttons (LB,RB). During the races its not noticeable with Forza 4, but as others have stated, accessing some of the menus in the online portion of the game does become problematic.

Overall, it's well worth $20. I can't wait to try out Forza Horizon and NFS:MW when they come in the mail this week. If you love racing games and own Forza 4, I highly recommend you try this thing out. It's no wii toy piece of garbage, that's for sure.

You won't be let down.

Decided to pick one up tonight.

I'm honestly not feeling it. it's cool and i imagine someone else can really enjoy it. But I've gotten so use to a controller for forza i can't see a reason to try and adjust to this.

So basically i just suck with it. I'll probably end up returning it tomorrow. Was fun to mess with tho.

I too just picked up the wheel and just got Most Wanted for $25 at Walmart from BF. Wish I got it for 360 but I do have Horizon, sold my copy of 4 when it was still worth something but now that I have this wheel might have to pick up a copy of that on the cheap sometime.

Is that one the same as $187.99 bf deal one?

I miss the bf deal one in bestbuy because I camped too late.
To answer. Yes. Didn't you compare the specs between the BF Laptop and the one you linked?

You do realize that if you are not the first 3 or so tents (depends on how many people and what they're getting also) in line, you aren't going to get most of the desirable doorbusters.
So I have expedited shipping and it's still saying usually ships in 5-7 business days. Kind of confused about that one
It means that they don't have stock available on hand and they expect to receive it within 5-7 business days. Once it ships, it will be shipped via expedited shipping.

Yes. This laptop can not be purchased online during bf. am I right?
3 black ops 2 headsets on sale
Huh?

On a side note, why is the website layout completely fucked?!?!

I ordered the xbox 360 wireless speed wheel. Got email confirmation that is ready to pickup. It wasn't there at all. They didn't even have stock. Will probably have to wait until Sunday for it.

Not too shabby at all, but nothing for me in the gaming related arena.

The Eastwood Collection at $35 is a bit intriguing. Decisions decisions...
