for some reason the digital save is different from the disk save. I can confirm this. My disk save didnt load up when I started the digital version. The saves show up as R&C all 4 one and R&C all 4 one (digital)

Gotta agree with this guy. There definitely is plenty of hypocricy on this site. Nobody says a word about the positive posts or the "Yup, I done gone and bought this one and it's goin' right in muh backlog!" posts, but the minute you try to tell someone a game isn't worth it, people jump all over you. People just don't want to be reminded they have zero self-control.

I have no idea if this particular game in question is any good since I've never played it, but this is an overall example of CAG at its most transparent without a doubt.

I can confirm this as well. I even tried my PS+ save and it still did not work.

incompatible saves do not necessarily mean there are two trophy sets. tomb raider underworld (blu ray disc) saves are incompatible with the digital version from psn that is free for ps+ members despite them having the same trophies. and that is not even counting the tomb raider trilogy compilation that may or may not be incompatible with the the underworld disc or psn downloadable.

No, it just has a different save system. I only had about four trophies left when the digital version came out and I got two of them from that and they came up on the trophy list from the physical game. So no double dipping trophies here!

i just signed up last month from what i have read some games stay free since you have them installed on the hard drive not sure if its true

As long as you have PS+ you will be able to play all the games you got from it. Once your subscription runs out you will keep the games on your HDD but you won't be able to play them. Renew your subscription again and you can continue to play the games.

It does stay on your hard drive, but each game has an expiration date that gets renewed as long as you keep your PS+ active. Once it expires, you can't boot the game until it's reactivated.

Addendum, any free game follows these rules. Any game you pay for, even if it's 10 cents remains owned for the life of your account or until Sony removes it entirely from PSN.

Thanks. I'll wait then. I have dozens if not hundreds of other games to keep me busy till it drops in price more. I just wasn't sure if it was bad enough to go below $20 for a while, but I guess it is. In DNF defense I honestly enjoyed it decently enough where I felt it was $8 well spent, everyone is different though.

I ordered for in-store pickup. The PS+ situation is bothersome. I'd much rather pay a little for a physical copy that I can play whenever and wherever I want than have a "free" digital copy that is only mine as long as I'm a paying subscriber to something. Yuck.
