It’s not like he did anything unethical.

It’s BB’s responsibility to lower the TIV for the game and they’ve certainly had no problem doing so in the past. He exploited a loophole and is hardly the first to have done so.

Actually thanks to one of their system glitches a while ago people were able to buy some pre-owned titles for $5-10 each and make $25-26 a pop on them by trading them right back in. But I digress.....

As for the continued hate on people who do trade games right back after buying them and complaining about people cleaning out their stores I gotta chuckle again. Once the receipt prints from the register and they bag your games they are your property to legally do whatever you want with. If I wanna wipe my ass with em and throw em around like frisbees I can.

But the conspiracy people on these kinda threads who blame an invisible El Hoardo that they've never actually seen clearing out their stores but swear up and down that that's who to blame for it are HILARIOUS.

They claim they were busy with work, school or whatever other excuse they come up with, all the while not knowing what stock levels were at before the sale ad started. So if the store only had 1-5 copies of a game and you wait till Saturday evening at 8:59pm to try and buy a sale game, you have only one person to blame(look in the mirror).

That isn't the point; the point is NOT being a douche. There is a HUGE difference between using something to your advantage and taking advantage of something.

Since you are banned from trading at Gamestop AND Best Buy and rumor has it you pulled a bitch move and wrote a letter to BB because they wouldn't let you buy penny guides I don't expect you to understand.

I am more worried about people ruining the good deals at Best Buy them I am about them hoarding games. People can hoard all they want but inevitably something has to give If everyone abuses the low sale prices combined with high TIV something is going to disappear--whether that be the sale prices or high TIV

Are you for real? Best Buy just announced substantial lay-offs yesterday. They won't be around a year or two from now and people abusing their system is just speeding that inevitable day. They aren't making much if anything from the $10 games as very few people buy high margin items when they buy the $10 games. Take a look at their financials from last Christmas. The gross number was great. The net was terrible.

The most effective way to increase profit is to cut costs. They are cutting down on overhead. Personally, I don't think BB is going anywhere.

I highly doubt the trouble that BestBuy is having stems from the gaming department. If you buy a $10 game at BestBuy, even if they do not make much, you will not buy the game from Gamestop or Amazon. This is implicit "profit". (I am a researcher not a business man though, this comes from few business classes I took for fun during grad school)

I guess it's because they are seeing too much competition in the high margin products, such as TVs and laptops. Plus I think their business operation needs improvement, a lot of improvement.

So... best buy is making oodles of profit selling FIFA Street for $19.99 and RE: ORC for $17.99? They must be a good lay because no other retailer has come near those prices and both those games are made by publishers who aren't known for discounting their games
