probably ebay resellers. i noticed that everyone on slickdeals, etc knew about this ahead of time. i never saw much collector's value in these editions though. warner bros. seems insistent on just throwing together random blu-ray sets instead of doing comprehensive retrospectives. don't get me wrong. there was a lot bang for your buck for $20 but it is not going to be worth anything down the line if you were picking it up for collector's purposes.

There's two Blu ray versions..... the video content is the same. So I'm assuming BBY website isn't listing all the details. The other version is the Collector's Edition which includes; a tin box, numbered authenticity, a shot glass & some type of photo of the characters. As far as the video content is concerned it's the same. With that being said, my order is already placed. I really wanted the CE but for this price I won't pass it up!

For some reason it was never available for in store in the 1st place. Earlier today it didn't allow that option when it was at retail. Although your local store may have it. I had my friend who works at BBY to check for me and a few *3* stores had it in stock. Very limited tho. Most only had 1 and there was one store with 2.

This went entirely too fast. I can understand that some ebay flippers probably bought this but it's not like it's a hard to get item and something that is in high demand. They'll make a quick $10-$15 off this as it's only $45 on Amazon and if they ordered 10 or more, then they might wait months or more to sell all of them. It was already sold out within a minute of being posted. It reminds me of those Lightning deals on Amazon during Black Friday.

I was up at 1:30am EST and just barely missed it before. Hopefully it ships. I'm envisioning a "best buy black friday fiasco" where my order get's cancelled, but I hope I'm wrong.

I used a $5 reward zone certificate from trading in games, so it ended up costing me only $14.99+tax. Thank you very much to everyone who contributed to this deal.

Wow, it just sold out again. Jesus effing Christmas. My order went through. I was contemplating buying a second copy for my little cousin. I guess the decision just got easier now that it's not available again.

I asked the Best Buy customer service representative on the phone last night if she thought it might come back in stock at all today. She said something along the lines of "No. I've never seen a sold out Deal of the Day come back in stock."

I really want to be excited about that, but the only reason that I bought this set was because it was $20. I already have the Golden Collections, I just wanted to see the quality difference on the blu ray set. I'm going to be a casual buyer of the blu rays at best.

Only 36,000 of the Limited Edition were ever made, so I really doubt that they had any to ship. I don't know how they are handling it in-store. At launch, the LE was $80 vs the $60 for the standard ed. blu-ray set. Did they ever change the price or sku of the LE to that of the regular to clear out inventory? Or would it ring up $20 if you were lucky to find one?
