I'll never understand why some people get so up in arms over console discussions. Some are acting like it's personal. Why do you care so much?

Let's get one thing straight; Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo are not here to be your friends and your family. They didn't create their console with you specifically in mind. They are here to make money and quite frankly they couldn't give 2 shits about you so why all the loyalty?

^^ i like this guy
I own a Vita and I share a different opinion. I think the Vita is following the same failed recipe of the original PSP. Games on the Vita are typically a copy and paste of the PS3 version with touch controls slapped on.

Madden 13 is a scaled down version of the PS3 game. Sony needs to come out with games that are designed around the Vita's strength. Games on tablets and smartphones take advantage of the device.

Sony needs to follow this formula. We'll see if they can pull it off but so far this device is headed the way of the PSP Go.
As a recent PSP owner, the games I've played so far don't play like copy and paste of PS2 games (if that's the analogy you were making). I'm not a huge fan of the compromises in controls and camera.

I think I actually wouldn't mind PS3 titles "copy and pasted" to the Vita. I'm not much into touch controls; it seems to me one of the strengths of the Vita is a more console-like control scheme than the PSP, plus presumably the processing and resolution needed for a more immersive perspective.

I'm still going to want the big screen and rich audio experience of the PS3 most of the time, but an on-the-go PS3 experience would still be pretty compelling for me. Games that take advantage of Vita-unique features would be icing on the cake.

lol

I know this is cheapassgamer syndrome

but it's funny when I see posts like these, the price you listed was the price of the ps3 on launch, people complained then, but the same price now for a better system? People still complaining :applause:

Also, there are smartphones, tablets, etc for around that price. Computers/laptops for more. Next time just put "that is way too much money FOR ME"

I personally dont have a problem paying that much.

People who cry about the price of systems are annoying but like I said, this is CAG so I should get used to complaining of prices.

It's not just CAG syndrome. Obviously there's some audience for almost anything at almost any price point (I saw them camping outside the Sony store in '06), but basically the market proved YBX87's viewpoint about the PS3 pricepoint to be mainstream, and Sony eventually reacted - but the damage was done.

Had the claims of the vast superiority of the PS3's hardware been realized in a significantly better gaming experience, maybe things would have been different.

Please don't tell me you bought a launch PS3 when the only gems backing it up were "RIIIIIDGE RAAAACER" and "Giant Enemy Crabs". I bought a launch 360 when it came out, but no way in hell was I dropping six bills on that. I finally grabbed a PS3 this past Black Friday for 200. No one is saying they can't afford something. It's just that it doesn't seem WORTH it to them. People complaining about opinions on an open forum meant for discussions are annoying.

Wasn't an opinion until I told him to say "this is too much FOR ME" he tried to state it as some fact.

And I got one soon after release, im a big rpg gamer so the games I got for it were Enchanted Arms and Folklore. I also used it to play my ps2 games, music, web. I made full use of it. Even if I didnt buy one so what?
Pointless discussion $5.99
Do you have to be an GC Unlocked member to get that price?

Deal of the day for today - nothing game related.
They have a Dynex on sale for 299.99 and some cd "19" for 4.99. That cd looks tempting, infor10

If this were completely true they'd be in the Cigarette and Alcohol business. While they may not care about a customers home life still they want to make their customers happy because all companies need return business and buyer recommendation.

LOL, atleast i am not that ones complaining about the $15 gamers unlocked membership being too much, then turn around and having no problem getting modern warfare 3 for $20

If you were older(just guessing, maybe you are), you'd know that the game community started as rather close knit and still largely remains so where consumers directly interact with developers etc. in regards to the brand loyalty, how do you not understand that? It's the USA, some folks are Nike people and some are reebok, fila, etc. some are neither. We justify the use of our funds on products by these escalations of commitment that come with it.
Keep the discussion on topic. This isn't the first time I've had to ask this in this thread.
If people didn't get off-topic, what would you do? Since you allow multiple threads to cover the same deal, I assume this at least shows some effort on your part.

Waiting for $10, kinda hoping it appears as a DoTD or the blowout 2.0 (rumored...)
I played the demo and loved it, I'm sure me and the Mrs. will enjoy it...once I buy it.
I know it's $20 now, and I'm not *THAT* poor, I'm just that cheap

While the game is going free-to-play with a new price point of $14.99 soon, when that happens, it will be download only. This is Best Buy's way to clearance out what will soon be discontinued product. For those users with bandwidth caps set by their ISP, you're paying the same amount and getting the DVD's for installation, plus a month of play, meaning you get to start 30 days earlier than all the f2p'ers (as well as bonuses for being a subscriber when the f2p change happens).
my god there's 3 separate season 1 part 1 releases. Considering it's only 2 seasons not sure why there's no complete series.

They said August; this is August. I interpret "at retail" to include physical product at B&M stores. Looks to me like BB's price is consistent with EA's announcement. Where did you see it will be digital only?
That reminds me I still have Rayman Origins sitting here unfinished that I could likely wrap up soon and trade to BB or wherever before it's worth $0.
If you don't mind Googling codes to unlock your DVD player to play DVD's from other regions, there's a complete collection set for Thundercats up on Zavvi.com for around $40 U.S. .

Yeah it doesn't appear as free shipping for me either, bumps the price up by $3, and with tax it's nearly $15 total.

That's strange. I put in a shipping order for DQ IX right after the deal went live last night and got free shipping. Hopefully it's just a temporary glitch? If not, you could try calling in later today and see if you could get an adjustment.
