In between the days when there's a VG DOTD people have been using this to highlight other DOTD's rather than clutter up another board with a seperate thread just for DVD or other deals. Not to mention this mega thread has been OT more often than not talking about deals not even related to video games OR DVD's. For example, there was that media cabinet that was $22(down from $140) at BB that everyone was clamoring to get.

That reminds me. I haven't checked the status of my order lately and they never called me. Knowing my luck it's probably been sold.

Yeah. The AWD thread would really annoy the crap out of the people who always scream that stuff is 'omg off topic'.:lol: I used to like going into that thread to see if anyone had posted their thoughts on some of the games that were available via the AWD site. But the thread Nazis would always come in and bellow that they can't find any deals due to that.

It's like the folks who bitch about the Sears and Kmart clearance threads on here, but if they actually played catch up once a day or every couple days they'd know what was going on and marked down without needing a seperate thread for every game/item OR a meticulously updated OP. Besides which, having such a neatly updated OP only makes it easier for places like SlickDeals & Fat Wallet to copy/paste the list over there and hoard everything that's decent, which would then bring in another group of people complaining about the thread cuz they couldn't find anything due to 'hoarders'.:lol:

Usually the OP of a thread is the first place I look after I skim back and don't see anything related to a deal in a page or so. Then again, my post count per page is set to 100 on here, so I'm usually skimming for more than a couple minutes.

Anyhow, I usually try to steer clear of the Rocketfish brand, but this speaker is pretty attractively priced, and the reviews on it seem pretty darn good. I'm sure that it sound quality-wise it wouldn't stand up to the outrageously expensive Jawbone speakers, but it's almost the same price as some similarly-rated speakers from lesser known brands on Amazon.

With a few $10 codes left to burn, it really only cost me $3.xx for tax out of pocket, so I decided to treat myself to a new little gadget.

the 2007 edition was fine but the 2010 was purposefully gimped. if you are still in college, it is probably a better idea to get a student discount on the university edition of 2010, which is more of a successor to the 2007 student/teacher edition.

Woo. This Init cd/DVD cabinet is being the worst hassle I've had to deal with all week.

Ordered it the day it was clearanced in store via mos or whatever it's called to be shipped to my house. Order was cancelled due to back order on the 2nd. Got a phone call yesterday telling me to come pick my stand up from the local store. I went in today to get it and they're telling me I have to pay for the stand. I referred them to my sales check number and was told that the order was cancelled and that I had received a refund. Needless to say, I didn't and was referred to 1-800-bestbuy to get my refund. They weren't any help and told me to contact my bank. In turn, my bank told me to contact best buy about gettin a refund.

This whole thing has taken me for a giant loop and all I want is the cabinet waiting for me at customer service. :c

If you have the cash, I'd just pay for the one waiting at customer service now and then try to resolve the issue with the other one. Even if it somehow never ended up being resolved though, $40 is still a pretty good deal for the cabinet.

That's what I'm going to end up doing tonight. And then in the morning, I'll either get ahold of someone via the BBY forums or my bank to do a chargeback claim or something similar.

That's what I was thinking when I picked up my Init media cabinet that they store transferred for me tonight.

The box is kinda beat up and since it was pouring when I got home I had to leave it in the car.

But the look on the cashiers' face when she saw the level of discount on that item was too priceless not to pick it up. She actually voided it out at least 1-2x and then re-rung it to be sure.:lol: Too funny.

I'm glad I waited though and didn't get it from the store down the line from me, as it was only $20.99 at my closest store in their system. It was about $22.25 out the door for me.
