When are they available?
It's random and can happen during any day of the week. Usually starts around 1:00 AM EST to 1:30 AM EST.

Is it the same price in store?
Yes.

Will Amazon price match?
It depends on if enough people alert them to the deal and if Best Buy still have stock available for shipping.

How long are these deals available?
For up to 24 hours or until the item sells out.

Will Best Buy price match a DotD item I already purchased?
No. All Deal of the Day products are of Limited Quantities and are excluded from the Best Buy Price Match Guarantee.
(Official policy of Best Buy but depending on the customer service rep handling the price match you might still be able to get it done.)

Someone had mentioned in the past that Best Buy's site only shows an item as being stocked if there's more than three copies at a given store. It might be worth a check.
 
I kinda figured this thread was going to turn out like this once it went live. Oh well, I've got mine waiting for in-store pickup when I go in today.

Either way, for 10 bucks, I might as well give this game a shot. Besides, I'm only a few points away from going Platinum on my Club Rewards status.
 
Was thinking about picking this up and was hoping to trade it in at GS for more than $10 but am noticing on CAG that it is indicating that the trade-in value is $10 (just added.)

Got me to wondering, is GS quick enough to update their trade-in prices when they see that other major retailers are having a sell on a certain game or is it just a coicidence it's a recent add at GS?

Heck, for all I know $10 might be a common price point for 3DS trade-ins at GS?
 
It's been ten bucks for at least a week at GS. this game has been on sale for $15 and $20 multiple times already.

Actually looks like I flipped some to amazon around black Friday for 23 a piece.
 
Went to local BB at opening but they were out of KH3D. I asked them to look for other stores and the next closest had two. When I tried to do in-store pickup online for that store, it wouldn't let me checkout. They called the store, verified stock, and were able to have me pay for an in-store pickup.

That is weird. I got free shipping this morning.
 
Got to my local store at opening, and they had 3-4 copies of KH:3D. I just got home and noticed they were showing "out of stock" at the same store. I'm not sure if this is reflective of me sniping an order someone already made online, that the online stock is inaccurate, or that they were bought up in the time since I got home.

In any case, I got the only copy that had the limited edition AR cards sticker on the front, so those are still floating around, too...
 
Has anyone received a receipt/shipping confirmation for those of you that were able to order online? I ask because I tried it once (to get a copy for my little brother... my order is waiting in store for pick up but I'm afraid they won't have any left by the time I get there) but haven't received a confirmation e-mail or anything.

Wasn't sure if they won't charge you until they ship it or something.

I doubt that they'd have shipped already for those of us that ordered in the last few hours. And I would hope that if they don't have any left at your store, they will ship a copy to the store for you.

But I did receive an email confirmation for my order, one that I placed when it came back in stock. My order status has updated to "Order in Progress".

I doubt eBay is flooded just because of this sale. These were $19.99 for a long time and part of 2 for $40 deals many months ago and I'm sure many copies were purchased back then and those that didn't sell are going to have an even harder time now.

I think I heard that 1-3 copies will show as OOS. At Target, 1-3 would be "Limited Availability".

my store had 3, i picked one up. whatever.. i liked kh2 in terms of everything except it was just too easy and it just felt like random missions where as kh 1 felt fresh and had a fresh, unique story to it. but we'll see

Managed to snag a copy from a store near my house. Everywhere along my commute to work was sold out, so no pickup until Saturday.

My order is ready for pickup, but I never received the original order confirmation email ("We received your order; but please wait for pickup email"), which is odd. :???:
 
Went to my local Best Buy to pick mine up.

Really glad I did the "Pickup in Store" option beforehand because there was a guy there hoarding the last 7-8 copies when I arrived...
 
My order shipped less than three hours after I placed it; color me impressed. The only other Kingdom Hearts game I've played is the original (I have II on PS2, but never wanted to give it a try - don't give me that look), but I've played the demo for this one and it seemed fairly fun. Hopefully I won't be too lost.

Mine shipped a few hours ago.
I liked Kingdom Hearts when it first came out and I have all of the kingdom hearts on the DS and PSP as well, but now it's like all Nintendo franchise, been there done that rehash.
@$12 I'll give it a go and I need 50 nintendo points to reach platinum status.
 
I've never played a Kingdom Hearts game or really any RPG.

Though I played the Fire Emblem Awakening demo and liked enough that I ordered it yesterday on Best Buys website.
