You’re right thanks for pointing that out. I think the GCU does screw it up while this wouldn’t apply with GCU (although the free game would get a bundle discount). If the deal stacks I think it’s worth biting but we won’t know until Sunday.
So I’m tempted to place an order and if somebody reports that the discount doesn’t automatically adjust, I’ll just cancel the order. Does anybody know what happens when you cancel an order that comes with a gift card that’s mailed out to you? Do you just pay for the value of the gift card against your credit card? I remember years ago folks were getting banned for cancelling bundled items to get the free games/promotions. It’s not worth the hassle to me if I’m in trouble for cancelling a bundled order that came with a free gift card. I’m fine with paying $75 for the gift card if it defaults to that situation. I wouldn’t want to go the pick and return route since my free game would be one of the preorders.
