Best Buy exclusive Vengeance Trilogy tin

I wasn't going to open mine yet since I watched Oldboy and possibly Lady Vengeance (can't remember) for free on cable Video On Demand, but after I heard about the glitch, I just had to open and check. Fortunately, my set was OK, whew. I always have bad luck when it comes to these things, guess I lucked out. Also, all the BBs around me are showing as having it in-stock now.

this happened to me too... last one in the store. I'm gonna have to try another store for an exchange

Well that didn't last long. After hearing about issues with the discs/cases, I opened it just to make sure everything was right. It was, but better safe than sorry, I could have sold it months down the road, and had to deal with a pissy buyer, or decided to watch them for myself, and it have been too late to exchange it.
 
Sure enough, mine had the mispackaged "Mr. Vengeance" and had 2 copies of "Lady Vengeance". And I found this out after they told me I couldn't PM WalMart so I was already pissed off.

Good thing the copy I had it exchanged with has the correct discs but the woman needed to open it at the counter to check. Then she proceeded to use her car keys to rip open the plastic, scratching and denting the tin as I watched in horror.

Best Buy put me in a bad mood today but at least I got this set and I gotta say it's still worth the $60.

I stopped by the BB near my office after work and tried to do a PM - the clerk called both local Wal-marts to verify the price but neither had it in the store so she was unable to do the PM. I decided to try the one by my house and the rep did the price match with no questions or issues at all. I get to the car, open it up and sure enough - my "Mr. Vengeance" was mispackaged with "Lady Vengeance". Took it back in and swapped it for the one remaining copy which turned out to have the correct discs. It took a lot of time and patience, but I finally got mine for $40 :D
 
Thanks for the heads up. Probably wouldn't have opened it up for awhile otherwise. Switched it out and got a good tin with all three movies.
 
Yabba Dabba! Got my copy tonight...with the price match. I think I benefited from an either overworked or lazy manager. It took around 10 minutes for the cashier to find a manager to approve the pm and by the time one was found he just quickly entered his password and left (didn't even bother to look at what was being pm'ed or for how much). This is one time when lack of customer service was a good thing.

Finally got the chance to open mine up, and it is pristine! No dents or dings or scratches on the case, and all the proper disks are in their correct places.

I was even able to price match walmart.com's price after ordering from bestbuy.com for in-store pick up. I just brought down a print-out of the item page from Walmart and asked if they could match it. No problems!

okay for the oldboy BD, under the special features, does anyone else have no subtitles for "The Music Score" and "Production Design"? The rest of them have the option (not burned in) but the final two features have none at all.

Yeah, I watched all three last night/early in the morning. OMG Lady Vengeance looks fantastic. Well worth it just for that movie alone.
 
WOOHOO! I went back in yesterday and got my price match to work. The funny thing was the person who ended up approving it was the guy who at first said no. Whatever, I took that 21 bucks and went on a mini shopping spree. Went to the used cd store and got Hot Shots Golf for PSP, Megaman X5 and X6 for PS1, Sega GT/ Jet Set Radio Future for Xbox, and Tales From the Crypt season 1 dvd. Thanks Best Buy!
 
Awful looking tin, i defiantly wont try to hunt this down, when i go pick this up tomorrow if they don't have the tin no skin off my back :)

plus i heard its like the oldboy tin, which dents super easy

Definitely make sure you have all the correct discs. I picked mine up on Sunday and it had two copies of Lady Vengeance. Otherwise it's really an awesome set, easily worth $60.
 
Does this PM actually work 100%? because my store has a butt load left and im thinking of getting 1-2 just to resell and how does it work? do i just print off the WM page?

i figure i never do it and its about time i make a little money, could take awhile but with the fandom of the series i have a feeling its gonna have a nice price on it soon
 
You guys are getting them to price match the Wally web site when it says "pre-order" ?
I'll give it a try, unfortunately the BB that PMs everything for me without issues is all out.
 
Worked for me (the PM) i was hesitant to open it because i was going to sell it but did and all the disc are right, why does the back say 8 disc? its defiantly not 8 disc.. what is this f****ery? :)

anyways ill probably go PM another one to sell and get my money back later on down the road, they had 1 left which i hid (i know im a dick, i have never in my life bought more then 1 thing to resell but im tired of other poachers going in and buying 10 of the same item to make mad profit, i just wanna make what i spent back :)) besides the turkey creek BB has about 15 left
 
Good News everyone, Palisades Tartan are sending out replacement disc with the corrected audio track to those who bought from Best Buy and also this will be packed in the boxset for June release.

Which audio track has a problem?
 
1) Wrong (duplicate) disc on the wrong case

2) Oldboy doesn't have lossless audio track (DTS HD-MA)

3) Lady Vengeance slap 2 lower bitrate encodes on 1 Blu-ray disc
