To clear up any confusion, front row games are the games that are displayed at the checkout counters in large blue boxes. All the games have big white stickers with their prices on them. They range in price from 4.99-14.99. These are NOT normal stocked items, nor are they the yellow stickered items found in the normal game section. Some stores are now moving these games into their normal stock sections, but they will still have the white stickers on them. If they do not have a white sticker, they are NOT a front row game.

********
Etymology of the phrase "Front Row" *******************
********************************************************

The term front row game stems from the name on a receipt for these items. They will all show up with the generic title Front Row instead of their actual names. The term does not specifically have to do with the fact that these games are found in the front row of a store, although that was where they originally were found. If you find a game without a sticker in the front row of a store, IT IS NOT A FRONT ROW GAME. It is only a Front Row game if it has a white sticker with a price tag along with a white upc sticker covering the original sticker.

**********************************************************

**PLEASE READ THIS FIRST ***
Ratchet & Clank for 9.99 is a Frontrow Game ONLY. We all know it's 40 on the website. All frontrow games are NOT normal stock games and will not show up online. These prices are good IN STORE only.

you can add these to the list:

xbox - magic the gathering battlegrounds - 4.99

gamecube - spyro a heroes tale players choice - 9.99

playstation 2 - metal gear solid 3 - snake eater - 9.99

ALSO - the gamer gift card coupon will work with these games as long as your total is $20+. So...buy 2 9.99 games get 1 free 4.99 game (or whatever combination you like).

You should add Gunstar Super Heroes (GBA) for $9.99 to the list. I know it was clearanced out months ago, yet just a week or two ago I was surprised to see that they somehow found another copy to put out.

Just thought I'd chime in giving my late thanks to the OP. Managed to get One Piece Grand Adventure for the Cube. I absolutely reccommend it if you're an OP fan, it's a huge improvement. Story mode alone is worth it, seems to have lots of unlockables, and the extra costumes so far have been awesome.

Plus, there's rankings to get in plain Versus mode, so I'd say it's got a lot to do, enough for anyone who liked GB to get this one too.

How much does Grand Adventure get?
the one piece pirates carnival gets $11 store credit for both gamecube and ps2 at gamecrazy

If you can find it. It's been long gone in the SF Bay Area stores.
They have multiples at every single Best Buy in LA that I've visited the last 2 weeks (Culver City, West LA, West Hollywood, and Westwood)
Justice League Heroes dropped to $20? Wow, might have to get that.... and I've been trying not to think about getting Simpsons Hit and Run. Since my kids can't watch me play MGS3 and my wife can't stand it, I don't think I'd ever be able to play that if I got it, though a $5 it could sit...

My backlog is seriously getting out of control.
It's not bad or anywhere near as violent as GTA. If you like the Simpsons, and permit your kids to watcht he Simpsons, then it is perfectly acceptable. It's like playing episodes of the cartoon, but with extra driving time. If you're a fan of the Simpsons, it is majorly recommended.

I just checked out my BB at lunchtime today, and picked up

Rave Master for Gamecube, marked $9.99.

Using the $5 off coupon, it came to just over $5. Looks like a Powerstone-type title...I've heard a little about it, but not too much. Since my Cube is my main multiplayer system, figured I'd give it a shot for $5.

I picked up these titles today using the coupon pack:

$14.99 - Cooking Mama (DS)
$9.99 - Justice League Heroes (PS2)
$4.99 - 007 From Russia With Love (PS2)
$4.99 - Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones (GBA)
$2.50 - Metal Gear Acid 2 (PSP)

Also, I was wondering why a post of mine was deleted earlier... is there no conversing about backlog allowed in threads or something? Jeez...

Cooking Mama is 13.99 at CC this week.

Some additions I found.

Xbox
MX World tour 4.99
NCAA MArch Madness 04 4.99
Trigger Man 4.99

GC
Aggressive Inline 9.99

PSP
Death JR 9.99

All I can remeber for now...

OP - Your list is missing many games that have that have been posted. Go through and get them on there!

Also mention how you can 4.99 games and become free and how the GCC will work as long as the total is 19.99 or >.

Sigh, I went to pick up one of the copies of Rave Master that my BB's had for weeks and of course they're gone. Looked all over, too. Figures, I had it in my hands many times but couldn't quite decide to get it, and just decided to get it today.

Oh well!

Metal Gear Ac!d 2? I was just at BB and I didn't think it was 7 bucks. I've seen it there several times over the past couple weeks too.

Many of the games that have posted that aren't in the list aren't Front Lane games. They belong in the main thread, not this one.
OP updated with several new games I found.

What main thread? They don't belong in the clearance thread since most are just cheap price drops that have been around for a while. I think what kevzik and I are suggesting is maybe we make this into the "cheap after coupon" Best Buy game thread, and that includes Frontlane and regular games (but excludes very hard to find clearance leftovers). But that's up to you of course.

Also, there's a lot more frontlane DS games than just Urbz. They are all $14.99 though so I didn't even consider getting them. I know one is Asphalt Urban GT. I'll try to write the others down next time I'm there.

And I second the MGA 2 @ $7.50 whaaa??? I think it was marked $14.99 last time I saw it. Are they half off for some reason, or was this a local store YMMV discount?

I know the *first* Bomberman is also one of the $15 DS games

Yep, that's one. I think it is many of the same games that Target has by their registers for $14.99 also. That means possibly Lunar Dragon Song, Robots, VJ, etc... But I'm not sure on those - I do remember Asphalt Urban GT and Bomberman though.
Can you get this "$5 coupon" without buying Gamepro? Is that the $5 coupon you're referring to?
anyone?

Metal Gear Acid 2 goes for more than just $7.50 at BB, right?

Btw, should it be ending in $.99 like the rest the poster listed? It didn't seem like he was too lazy and rounded up the last price ;)

How about the games that are restickered (UPC and Price tag) get posted here. That is, the generic 4.99, 9.99, and 14.99 taggings. I guess we could just leave the original clearance games in the other thread, BUT if an original clearance game gets restickered, then it goes in here. I am tempted to have a new thread made, but the OP shouldn't get his thunder stolen. Keep up the good work.

Anyway, think about it op...All I ask is that you keep an eye on new finds and update the OP with valueable info like the GCC and getting games free or discounted with the 5 off GP coupons.

With that being said, I am going to BB again tomorrow to have my final list on what I find, but I doubt I find anything new from what I posted a few posts back.

Oh and about MGS Acid...I don't know how above got that price.

It's bad day for me. Justice League Heroes (PS2) still $30 at my local BB. Also, Simpsons h & r wentup $15 instead $10 and i can't belived it Klonoa 2 (GBA) fly up $30 ish (with new UPC sticker). Yeah, i endup pickup Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake eaters (PS2) for my friend and Ghost Recon: AF (XBOX360) for $20 plus taxes. Ofcourse i'll return Simpsons H&R tomorrow.

Also, my local BB restocking lots old games w/ new UPC # for $10 each.

MG Acid 2 and Justice League Heroes were on my BB's 50% clearance rack. Don't know if those discounts are chain-wide or YMMV.

I didn't feel like doing all the advanced subtraction to figure out what the exact price would be for the last one I posted. I do too much math during the day to care ;-p

There are definitely more DS games in the front row, but they've been 14.99 everywhere I went and all univerally awful. As such, I never can remember what they are once I get home. The same goes for the other PS2 and XBox games. I'll try to remember them with the next store I hit, but I can't make any promises.

I'll be visiting the last store I know of in my area tonight, so I'll post any new games I find. Thanks to everyone so far who's provided additional games.
Anyone know if you can Stack a rewards coupon with one of the 5 Dollar off coupons?
Absolutely. The RZ coupons are simply like gift certificates. I'm assuming you are talking about the $5 or $10 ones they send you and not the 12% discount ones you get from RZ. The latter probably will not stack with the GamePro coupons, but then who cares - 12% off these games is nothing .

My local store in Richmond VA shipped out the whole supply of shipper display markdown stuff. Everything was gone. I got an employee to look up Ninja Gaiden Black, one of the 19.99 display games, and he could only tell me it was "sent out", but to where he didnt know. He said it aopeared to be a time-limited deal where the remaining unsold stock is sent back to wherever by a certain date.

Moral of the story, if there is a cheap game you want at Best Buy, grab it cause it might disappear.

Nope its the RZ version you get specifically for you. Not the flyer with the 10% 12% coupon varities. Awesome! Thanks I just got some nice printer paper from the office supply room so it wont look like ass next to the official one when I stack it. $39.99 for Godfather Wii Here I come! :applause:
Saw Urban Reign for $5 still there.......passed on it for some reason. Probably because I'm only mildly interested in it.
You passed on "free" because you are only mildly interested?.

But I hear you... It isn't quite as simple as "free" - you have the potential hassle of a coupon rejection, which may not be worth it if you don't really want the game that badly.

Heres my coupon story.... I handed the cashier GRAW and the 5.00 coupon. She starts to squint at the coupon. Im thinking great...here comes the rejection. She continues to stare at it then calls for Christy "the manager". Before Christy arrives; I start pulling the brand new gold $1.00 coins I got from the bank. I ask "do you accept these?" She grabs a few and looks them over. What are they she asks. I state "they are the new one dollar coins that were just released" she says cool and continues to look them over when Christy show up. The cashier looks at Christy and asks do we take these? I think so is the reply. They both start talking about how cool the look when another employee show up to see what the are talking about. One of them pulls out a $1.00 bill and says he willl trade the cashier for the coin... After a few minutes the other 2 people leave and the cashier asks "where were we" I said you were going to scan my coupon. She says yea and scans it than accepts the rest of the gold coins; I walk out with is grin.

Exit stage left!

Yeah...I didn't have any coupons with me anyways :p

OP Updated again. Nothing major, but I tried to remember more of the overpriced really bad portable games. I mostly succeeded, but if anyone notices more let me know.

I'm also considering adding the other reticketed non clearance games to the list as well.

With the last few stores I've been too, I've noticed several of them have removed the front row boxes entirely. The games in the boxes are now mixed with the normal games, so if you don't see the boxes be sure to check the game section.

Nice! I got a couple coupons to work, but they hassled my sis one time. The lady had done mine before, but she suddenly asked another cashier whether or not to accept it- even though it scanned she rejected it. My sister isn't very crafty, but I'll make sure to tell her to divert their attention if it ever happens again- or maybe say she got it in an email:)
I stopped into a Best Buy I had previously checked for the clearance tonight and found alot of new and not bad games in the front row bins. I've heard these mentioned in the main thread but I think they've been sufficiently buried and ignored to warrant a new post.

Some of this stuff is YMMV, but most is nationwide. For example, I was at a Best Buy near me, and Metal Gear 3 and Victorious Boxer 2 (Ippo) were both $9.99 and rang up at $9.99 as opposed to $4.99 listed in this thread.
