To clear up any confusion, front row games are the games that are displayed at the checkout counters in large blue boxes. All the games have big white stickers with their prices on them. They range in price from 4.99-14.99. These are NOT normal stocked items, nor are they the yellow stickered items found in the normal game section. Some stores are now moving these games into their normal stock sections, but they will still have the white stickers on them. If they do not have a white sticker, they are NOT a front row game.

********
Etymology of the phrase "Front Row" *******************
********************************************************

The term front row game stems from the name on a receipt for these items. They will all show up with the generic title Front Row instead of their actual names. The term does not specifically have to do with the fact that these games are found in the front row of a store, although that was where they originally were found. If you find a game without a sticker in the front row of a store, IT IS NOT A FRONT ROW GAME. It is only a Front Row game if it has a white sticker with a price tag along with a white upc sticker covering the original sticker.

**********************************************************

**PLEASE READ THIS FIRST ***
Ratchet & Clank for 9.99 is a Frontrow Game ONLY. We all know it's 40 on the website. All frontrow games are NOT normal stock games and will not show up online. These prices are good IN STORE only.

The second BB had no games in the front area, but in with the regular games, I found and picked up:

XBOX Just Cause 4.99
Oh yeah, I forgot that one - I saw that too in the regular Xbox section of the store I mentioned a few posts back. But it is frontlane tagged at $4.99. Definitely one to add to the OP then!
Yellow stickers are not frontrow games. Those are Best buy 'bargain' titles. There's another thread specifically for them I used to run. I've been reluctant to add many items mentioned so far because I've never seen them in stores with white stickers. I have on the other hand seen them yellow stickered.
Can anyone confirm Symphonia is in fact white stickered?
OP updated with Loco Roco.
it was white stickered when I saw it and someone confirmed it in another location as a white sticker.
edit: saw you already updated op hehe -_-
I'm hoping Field Commander and R&C start showing up at some of the other places (Kmart/Sears most likely - they have many of the same games as Best Buy).
A few months ago I got Field Commander for $14.99 from KMart....in the Front Lane display :)

Going to head to Best Buy Monday or Tuesday and look for Ratchet and Clank Size Matters, Virtua Tennis, and Loco Roco. I'm planning on buying one of the new PSPs and figure I may as well pick up cheap games now. I hope I can find them!
OP updated with several new games I found along with what others found.
HSG: Open Tee still needs to be added.
Drill Dozer is a GBA game, not DS (and totally worth $15).
It was a definitely ds game, but I think I got the name wrong. After double checking, it was actually Mr Driller.

I was thinking that might've been the problem. Mr. Driller fits in with the other Ds games as well.

Spotted NBA Street Vol. 2 for Gamecube for $9.99 in the front row games.

Nothing special, but GC games are getting more scarce in BB.

Awesome, I found Just Cause (Xbox) for $4.99 today! I didn't even think about printing out the coupon though, but I don't care, still a hell of a deal.

It's funny though, because it didn't look like the front row games had been restocked. And Just Cause was the first (and only copy) in the Xbox game display.

Xbox

Spider Man The Movie(the first one) $4.99
Tony Hawk's Underground $4.99

Both Plantinum Hits covers and backwards compatible.
Who the hell said Yakuza was $9.99 ??? It still rings up $29.99.
Explanation is in the OP! And I agree the Dreamcast did rock and I'm playing it for 4-6 weeks while my 360 gets fixed.

Back to business, I found the following in an Atlanta BB:

All on PS2
KillSwitch 9.99
Star Wars Starfighter (Greatest Hits Version) 9.99

They also had Puzzle Challenge (PS2) for 9.99 white stickered in the cheap section which has lots of yellow sticker games and frontlane white sticker games and almost exactly directly across the aisle in the regular game section was Puzzle Challenge for 1.99 still left over from the clearance. Gee, I'll take the 9.99 version please ;)

All three games were definitely frontlane with white stickers. This store also had Socom 3 (PS2) 9.99 and Rainbow Six 3 Xbox (4.99) as I previously reported in another store.

My best buy had the following xbox games for $4.99 that weren't on the list

Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter
Dr. Muto

I picked up Dr. Muto; didn't know anything about Mace Griffen so I let it slide.

I went to BB and didn't find any of the PSP games I was looking for. Really wanted R&C, too. Drat. Is there a tradelist for these games? I'd like that for cost+shipping+a but extra.

I'm SO tempted to pick up a $4.99 copy of Just Cause for Xbox, though my Xbox I got from BB 2 years ago(just about) didn't like the one copy I picked up already.

I guess I could try it out on the Xbox I got from a CAG a while ago and if it doesn't work then, then I'm SOL.

I was in a BB near me a few days back and I saw a couple more titles to be added to the XBOX list at $4.99 - Legacy of Kain: Defiance and Magic the Gathering Battlegrounds.

I went to my local BB about a week ago when i heard Rachet was a Front Lane. I myself, never heard or knew what a frant lane or front row was but i was just excited to see the game at a very low prince. When i got there, no games had white labels and Rachet was still 39.99.

Well I went back today to give it another shot. Although Rachet was still 39.99, I managed to pick up a few games for the PSP that was a Front Lane and all had those sweet white 9.99 labels on the top right corner of the game. I pretty much searched for the labels and got a handful of games. This is what i saw

PSP
ATV Off Road Blazing Trails
Kingdom of Paradise
Dave Mirra Bmx Challenge
Pac-man World Rally
Gunpey

I managed to pick up Dave Mirra, Pacman, Gunpey, and a harvest moon DS all with BB 5.00 coupon. (even being expired) Sweet pick up! Might have to visit again tomorrow. But for the heads up, for some BBs, some of the Frant Lane may be in the blue boxes near the checkout/cashier. Or in my case, Front Lane games can be located in the usual videogame section. Just look for the white label, when getting ringged up...their systems cannot scan the product and will have to manually enter the UPC.
I was in a BB near me a few days back and I saw a couple more titles to be added to the XBOX list at $4.99 - Legacy of Kain: Defiance and Magic the Gathering Battlegrounds.
Look again. Magic is already on the list.
Who the hell said Yakuza was $9.99 ??? It still rings up $29.99.
Wow. I can't believe there are still people like you that aren't understanding the concept. Read the fucking thread and you'll see how you'll know if it is/isn't $9.99.

Or think to yourself, what do all these WHITE STICKERED $9.99/$4.99 games have in common that happens to have 2 WHITE STICKERS on it. One on the front with the price and one on the back over the barcode.
could you post some PC games?
I've never seen a front row PC game, and I think it's safe to say there probably aren't any.

Found Just Cause at my local BB with the 4.99 sticker on it. It didn't have the sticker over the UPC so the clerk had to get a Manager to override.

My BB has also relocated games- now near the value PC software in Media. I picked up Just Cause... 7 ft. away in the XBOX section same game was marked $30. Weird. Also saw the Fallout dungeon crawl for PS2 (Brotherhood of Steel or something?), which I didn't see mentioned, for 9.99. Was gonna grab it but didn't have any 5off cupes with me.

I actually liked Brotherhood of Steel pretty well (much better than X-Men Legends, which I thought was terrible). It was just a Snowblind engine game with a sci-fi theme, which is fine by me. (It's not made by Snowblind, but uses that engine.)

For some reason it's gotten trashed a lot, but I really don't know why. It's a perfectly fine dungeon hack with a somewhat unique theme...since they're mostly all fantasy based.

It probably got a less-than-stellar welcome from most critics because compared to previous Wasteland/Fallout titles, it was easily the worst. That might not be the fairest way for some reviewers to go about judging it, but hell you can't go around slapping the Fallout name on just anything, ya know.

Anyway, picked up Gunpey and Yakuza earlier today, so I'm content for a while.

Just got Dark Cloud 2 for $9.99.

Thing is, the cashier scanned the bar code on top which rang it up for $29.99. I told him to scan the sticker bar code on the back. He did, then asked the other cashier about it. The other cashier told him that wasn't their bar code and told him to peel it off. He then tried to sell it to me for $29.99 claiming it wasn't their bar code sticker, even after he took it out of the plastic game case. He then asked me to go to the customer service counter with him. No one was there so we went back to the game area and I showed him 9 other games that had the sticker bar code and they were all in cases. He still claimed it wasn't their bar code and told me to calm down (since he probably couldn't think straight at that point) and that he'd do what he could. We got back to the customer service area and the guy there looked at the game from a distance and asked if the sticker bar code was on there. I told him it was until the cashier peeled it off. He then schooled his co-worker on the frontline games. The cashier that was giving me the problem has been working there for a few years already.
are frontrow games AFTER the cashier or beforehand usually? Because I only saw movies in those blue things...
Usually near where the movies are but beware - at least 3 of the 5 Best Buy's near me got rid of their front lane game displays (well, one is new and never had it) and just have movie ones. You might find the games mixed back in with the regular game stock.

I don't understand what you mean by "after the cashier". "After" in the stores I've been to would be outside . They were usually where you wait in line, whether in a one-big-line-that-turns-a-corner store, or a multiple-lines-like-a-grocery-store store.
I've never seen a front row PC game, and I think it's safe to say there probably aren't any.
the 9.99 pc games is concider front row games. ususally the first row of games in the pc section
PSP
ATV Off Road Blazing Trails
Kingdom of Paradise
Dave Mirra Bmx Challenge
Pac-man World Rally
Gunpey
I saw all of these (sans KoP) at one of the BB's Front Row section here as well, just to confirm. Also, the cashiers never had to manually enter in the stickered barcode UPC; it's always just worked, as has the expired coupon.

I might just get ATV at $5 for myself, personally, only because there was a non-GH version of it stashed there (for whatever reason, I was really surprised)...but it has the same feel as ATV Offroad Fury 3/4 which I never liked. Ah, well, I may end up getting it on impluse.

Oh, and I have seen PC games in the Front Row section near the cashiers, on its own shelf below the console/handheld titles. Nothing special, but they're not just in the PC section of the store from what I saw.

Looking for ratchet and clank and soul caliber 2 but no luck, almsot grabbed gunpey and KoP last night but i was dropping 40 on Odin Sphere already.
Every south suburb chicago area BB didn't have Yakuza PS2 for 9 dollars.
All still 30. That's the only one I would have bit on.
Yes, Yakuza is $29.99 and needs to be taken off the list.

Again, I'll advise you to read the OP. Photographic proof was even provided on this one.

Concentrate on the BIG LETTERS.

;)

So... what's the big deal with Yazuka? it seems to be the most wanted game, but I personally haven't heard anything about it, good or otherwise...

Also, unreleated question, when does the "CAG Newbie" tag chnage into something else?

Also, unreleated question, when does the "CAG Newbie" tag chnage into something else?
One big deal with Yakuza is that it can be found for $9.99 (or $4.99 AC) at the BB Front Row instead of $29.99 everywhere else. So again, everyone here is wanting the FRONT ROW YAKUZA that is $9.99, not the NON-FRONT ROW Yakuza that is marked for $29.99 and will not ring up for $9.99.
