Worth it's own thread since the ad thread devolved into bitching, it seems. These are some amazing prices, espically after the $10 coupon in the stickied thread.

City of Villains - $29.99
FEAR - $34.99
Quake 4 - $34.99
King Kong - $29.99
Prince of Persia: Two Thrones - $29.99
Sims 2 - $29.99
The Movies - $34.99
Star Wars Battlefront 2 - $39.99

City of Villains for $19.99 after coupon? I may finally bite on that one... and anyone who dosen't pick up FEAR for $25 bucks that is a fan of FPS is a fool.

FEAR is the best FPS out right now. Definitely worh the price. City of Villains should have been an expansion pack not a whole game.
Picked up Battlefront II and Battlefield II for X-Box for $40 after coupon- not bad.
they took the coupons????
They've taken the coupon every time I've used it.
yea, me too, but he used it on the 2 games for 60 dollar deal...i didnt think they would take that...did you try that?
Damn The Movies is tempting for $25
totally worth it, such a fun and great idea for a game.

Btw going to be picking up Fear since I need a new game and for $25 I really can't beat that price.

Forgot to mention that the time card for City of Villains is also $19.99 this week, as well.

Not bad, since monthly fees are $15 I think, save $10 bucks on two months.
did you get the DIRECTORS cut DVD or the regualar multiple CD version
It's the regular CD version. The DVD directors cut is much more expensive (I believe it was $54+)

Just got F.E.A.R. and the coupon worked without blinking. Thanks

Actually, City of Villians kinda is a expansion pack since having either CoH or CoV accounts lets you play either game as long as you have a copy of it.

got FEAR today... and yeah noticed the DVD version is a different SKU so its normal price of $55 vs $50 is normal for the 5 CD version

picked up the normal version with coupon. note that the cashier will have to manually enter the coupon since the register normally wont take it with just the bar code scan of the coupon as the game is on sale. she took an extra 2 mins to read the coupon then did an override and put the coupon in :) so it was $25 for the game. thanks for the heads up Roufus !

picked up City of Villains for the PC today at bestbuy, 20$ after coupon. I had a 20$ gift certificate, so that worked out wonderfully! To make it even better, i checked MediaPlay before I left the area and found two CoV gametime cards left at 50% off. so for 30$ out of pocket I get to play CoV (and City of Heroes since I had that registered previously) for about 5 months.
F.E.A.R doesn't run on Windows ME does it?
The box states (under the minimum system required):
Windows XP, x64 or 2000 with latest service pack installed...

theres another thread on the coupons that were given out for the 360 launch. some are printing out the scan from the other thread and have not had problems using the printed coupon
Gonna grab The Sims 2
you know it amazes me that MAXIS kept the original SIMS priced at 50 bucks for over two years after its release, but then SIMS 2 gets a price drop here and there months after release. I think some store had it a week later for a bit less than what i paid for (50 bucks) but damn EB wont do a price match :(

isn't ME just a version of 2000. I never had a problem running games that were specified "2000" on my ME machine.

ME is sort of a hybrid of 98 and 2k... but more like 98 programmatically, I believe. Lots of games weren't compatible with 2k when it was released, but worked fine with 98/ME since that was the norm. If you have ME, I suggest upgrading. Quickly. And not just for gaming purchases :p

I would be more worried that if you're still running ME, your computer won't be robust enough to handle new games, regardless of the operating system.

Picked up Two Thrones the other day. The guy that took my coupon had to read through it for about 15 seconds before giving me the $10 off. He scanned it, read through it a bit, and then subtracted $10 from the total. It seemed like he was deciding whether he cared or not if I got this coupon or not.

Thanks a lot. $19.99 for any of those games is a steal. I may go and pick up FEAR and King Kong.
