Ok just for the heck i went to best buy to see if they would price match some of the CC games and they did. I just told her CC had them for $5 and she didn't even call them, she just adjusted the prices.

Funny thing is almost every game that CC had for $4.99 wasn't on best buy's shelf.

These are the games i pick up at BB for $4.99.
Secret Weapons Ove Normandy xbox
Medal of honor frontline gc
Sims gc
At the Wal Mart near my they did a price match. The lady called Circuit City and they told her that Dead or Alive Volleybally was on their list of items they did carry. The lady at Wal-Mart let me have if for just 4.99. She said as long as it's not bogo then they compare prices. I do believe this is ymmv. Just call before you go.

JC
My Wal-mart wouldnt even match prices on a $2 cheaper cd from cc, let alone a 4.99 game...

The printed reciept can work. I tried it with one of the reciepts here and I ended up pricematching Mega Man X7 for $5. You only need a copy of the reciept and if they don't believe you tell them to call the store number from where the reciept was printed from.

Richter SoM was $5.00 I got it for that price, it isn't any more though. If you want a copy of the reciept to price match I will see if I can scan it. Since you've been so nice to give some of your reciepts online.

i may actually try this, not at bb but i will bring in the CC weekly ad (which is out this afternoon) which states "$5 games" and bring in my disgaea $5 receipt WITH the ad to try to get another disgaea for $5. That would be sweet.

It depend on the employee. If you geta new one, it may work, but if you get a not so nice one and even if they call the games have to be in stock for any PM.
we need people besides big nick (cause he already has) to post their receipts here so it will make it easier to try and PM
look for my three earlier in the thread

Anyone have receipt with Secret Weapons or Disgaea? (apologies if it's been posted already, I just had a few seconds to scan the threads before I leave for work).

One more time for all the lame assholes.

BB, Sears, Toys R us...all those places that price match...

Newsflash - THEY DONT PRICEMATCH CLEARANCE ITEMS.

Cant you just be happy with the killer deal? Why do you have to make a new employee possibly lose his job for this? Not all companies can afford to pricematch clearance items. Best But might of bought they're Disgaeas for 23.99 amd Circuit City could of for 10.99. Why put yourself in a position where employees will start hiding games from you? Just be happy with the Circuit City deal and be done with it.

Yeah, and good luck getting CC's crappy add price matched anywhere, it's just a stupid little bubble that says $4.99 video games. Not any pics or list, also at least at my CC theres a sign in the bin of $4.99 sports games, since they haven't had any of the listed games from last Saturday thru today :( that says Titles May Vary. Just wait til next Sunday when they all magically have multiples of these games we're looking for.

Wow, calling us assholes now. This should be grounds for a ban. And you can't really forsee anyone getting fired just because of a pricematch? I guess you should tell people to quit trying to price match at Best Buy and using the GGC at the same time cause we would be risking getting the employee fired.

I was going to try Walmart, they don't call, and the ones around here don't really care when it comes to stuff like that...hell, you barely need a receipt for returns. But hey, we appreciate being called assholes. I guess that makes every CAG on the site who takes advantage of pricematches a lame asshole.

How many people have gotten a scan of someone else's receipt PMed? I don't think I can stretch my luck that far. Maybe I can get another copy of a game using my reciept. Or maybe they would call CC to PM another game and forget to ask if it's in stock. This is all YMMV. Congrats to those who get it to work. I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble though.

Yea I was thinking bout price matching toys r us for disgaea with a receipt i saw but it said the store was in Illinois. I doubt I could get a pm with that.

Try a BB that's close to a CC. Most of the CC around me are usually next door to a CC, so they usually know the prices of things offhand.

The Best Buy in Savanah has to have the SADDEST GC section I've ever seen... (and BB's are notoriously understocked when it comes to GC games in my experience)... they had perhaps a dozen titles, nothing that wasn't a blockbuster, PC or a first party game... with the noted exception of the crap that is Road Trip... So I didn't even get the chance to PM anything I bought since they don't carry it!

A. I'm only calling out the "Lame Assholes"....are you one? You maybe.
B. If this is grounds for a ban, than that is just sad.
C. People do get fired for people like you praying on the new employee thinking maybe he doesnt know the rules well enough. Seen it happen before. Price matching as much as you probably do....you would know that Pricematching Clearanced items is against company policy. Pricematching is great...but dont let it get out of hand cause you want to screw some guy out of a job or get banned from a store because your too greedy. It was a great deal at Circuit City, but its pretty much over now...let it go.
D. Not to mention major stores only price match when the other store has it in stock...so in that case just go to the other store.
E. I never told anyone not to pricematch, you're putting words in my mouth...I just think its pretty lame that this thread was started to screw the system. It's cool when your screwing big corprate types Im sure....but the middleman always gets screwed as well.
F. As far as the coupons go...thats free game. It's not against company policy...
G. Remember, kids.... "Just cause you CAN get away with something, doesnt always mean you SHOULD.

Feel like getting off your high horse? You might just be the lamest asshole here.

Might be. I just might be....I mean...giving advice to give cheapassgamer a good name, instead of the people who fuck the system to get what they want.

I managed to take RE: CVX (bought @ CC for $5), remove the price tag (That was a BIG pain in the ass), and return it @ Wal-Mart (w/o a reciept) for credit toward "Mario Kart: Double Dash!" for GC.

Yes, I paid $10 more, as MK:DD was marked @ $50, and yes, I guess that makes me a thief. Oh well, that's what I did.

Anyway, I paid a total of $15 plus tax for MK:DD, thanks to CC!

I will probably BURN IN HELL later,... but for now, I'll be playing MK:DD.

I had a THPS3 from the CC deal and I took the price tag off cleanly and then I went to Best Buy and took one of their price tags and put it on the box and then I went to exchange it for another PH but the lady was all shady and she wanted my drivers license and I don't have one so I didn't get it. I have a feeling that BB had been scammed a few too many times this past week by CC hoarders.

i don't really care that you did that, but there is no reason why you need to come here and tell everyone about it, since you obviously know it will most likely stir up even more needless argument (as if there hasn't been enough of it lately).

i don't post here every time i have a BM. there are some things you should just keep to yourself.

do they pricematch the receipts from last week or from a month ago? how many days long they wont pricematch items? a year? a month?

If you wish to purchase a game, the price match has to occur while the price is still effective. If you purchased an item and wish to do a price match, it has to be within 30 days

The places usually always ask for ID if you don't have a receipt. My friend tried to exchange La Pucelle Tactics (he bought it for $20 at Target) for credit at Wal-Mart but he said it came up as "not found" and they wouldn't accept it. Despite the fact they have it online. I couldn't help but chuckle a little, but I'd never seen that happen.....

No Mookie doesn't know his ass from his elbow about politics but he certainly is NOT an ass.

Im just a liberal hippie douche at heart with the politics thing...as far as taking back games that you bought for $5 bucks and taking it back to wal-mart...You know whats right and wrong...

children push limits in life to see what they can get...are you still in that faze? If so thats pretty sad...Enjoy Mario Kart...but remember everyone gets they're turn.

Why don't we just put aside the flames and get back to what everyone's here for...being cheapasses? Mooky, for my part, I'm sorry for any misunderstandings, I was in the middle of a long weekend with too little sleep.

I tried to PM Mario Party 4 at BB today with no luck. I got up to the counter and the guy seemed like he would do it. Then he scanned the game and noticed there was a $45 price difference. The look on his face was great. Of course he then called CC, checked on the stock, and they were out. No PM. Are Walmart and TRU more flexible when it comes to PMing? I might try them just for fun.

Did you have a copy of the scanned receipt ? I was going to try doing that too but figured they would probably call to see if the product was in stock at any CC before matching the price.

The WalMarts I've dealt with have always been more flexible with pricematching. I don't think they've called once to check on stock. You could always go to a SuperCenter at night once CC closes though to make sure :) (or just a walmart open later than your CC). I checked both in town, but no Disgaea to be found. I don't think there's a copy in the whole damn town. And I don't think there was before the CC clearance, either.

I have the original reciept but I wanted some copies for friends or for fellow CAGers. I will try Walmart sometime soon. I like the idea of going after CC closes.

I went to Walmart today and had some luck. They didn't have much of a selection of CC games on my reciepts. They did have Beach Spikers for $50. Lol. They also had Def Jam Vendetta for $20. So I went with that one. They didn't have Mario Party 4, which I had tried already at BB. I would suggest not trying to PM $50 games. It's tough to get the employees to do it. Anyways, I went up to check out with DJV, and I ended up going through two cashiers, a manager, and a customer service person before I finally got the price override. I finally got it to work somewhere. Good luck to everyone else.

Where are you getting these scanned receipts from. . . .I've scoured CAG so far and found none. . .any help would be greatly appreciated. . .
