More then likely it's to put $5 down to guarantee you a copy on release day. Like there not going to print a million copies of this title. They will probably even be selling this at 7-11.

My guess is something like the Lord of the Rings ring that was available with the Extended Box Set BD.

Maybe a mini lightsaber or vader mini bust?

I'm working at Best Buy right now and even though whatever this is comes out tomorrow, no stores have it in stock. None in transit or anything. I checked random disctricts in Florida, Michigan and Washington.
we can only dream for a steelbook...
thatd be a pretty big steelbook, unless youd want them to cram 9 discs in a smaller case.

unless they make many steelbooks and that would jack the price higher

thats true. omega godzilla monster steelbook!
I could only hope for a tin like Band of Brothers.
Those tins are the worst, they are the same that all the junk "Shark Video Extravaganza" and the like come in for 8.00 at Wal-Mart.

hmmm I remembered the midnight release for the dvd release of Episodes 4-6. They gave out pizza, contests for those 100 dollar light sabers, and allowed people to play Battlefront 1. They even allowed people to watch ESB on a big screen til 3am!

I do have 105 dollars in rzc that I can use towards this.

Maybe they will let us play battlefront 3? If so Im gonna start the line right not lol

The only thing I could ever possibly see the use/value of a film cell is if you plan on splicing thousands of them all together to make a movie reel so insane that it either blows your head off or turns you into a Cinema Intersect.

I'm sure if someone really wants one of these they will eventually be pennied out like the LOTR rings. Wish I could have found on of those. :/

Umm, not to bust anybody's bubble, but I think the film cell is just a pre-order bonus like the LOTR ring, not what the link in the first post is meant for. If you look at that link, it also says you will receive the film cell for pre-ordering as well. I don't think any pictures of the special edition exist at the moment (or they don't want to show it just yet), but will be forthcoming as we get closer to the release date. The last time Star Wars was released on DVD, Best Buy had an exclusive edition in a tin/steel-case that housed all the movies. My guess, is this is what the link in the first post may be referring to and pics will be coming later. Not to say it's gonna be a tin/steel-case like last time, but something along those lines, so the wait continues...

Not to burst your bubble, but when you add the trilogy to your cart, it says it will add the film cell automatically to your cart. When you check your cart, the thing that's added to your cart is what's posted in the first post. The bonus is the film cell. The wait doesn't continue.

When you add the pre-sell to your cart, it doesn't add the film cell. Also, the film sell is listed on the pre-sell page as an additional offer.

So the pre-sell could be something different, but I doubt it.

Yes, it does.

Follow these steps:

Select Star Wars: The Complete Saga below.
Click the Add to Cart button. The film cel will automatically be added to your cart.

Select saga, click add to cart, then view your cart. You have the saga and the bonus (film cel) in your cart.

/edit: Looks like it's no longer adding the cel to your cart because it's backordered, but it was doing it earlier.

The LOTR ring had its own link so why wouldnt the film cell? the link is for the film cell.

Then that explains that.

Oh well, lame anyway.

I don't believe a film cell qualifies as a special edition. And I still contend that cell is simply a pre-order bonus and that as we got closer to release time, they will list the image of the special edition in that link. Just my opinion and you are certainly free to disagree.:whistle2:\"
Lame!!!!

Btw, thor exclusive isn"t a steelbook. fuck that!!!

fuck best buy!!!

fuck!!!! fuck!!! fuck!!!
It's doing it again.

So best buy is offering a film cell of the credits, some empty space, or perhaps one with jarjar binks's ass in it. Try again best buy, matching amazon would be a nice start.

You're talking about price matching, right?

Well, there's not much to complain about on that front considering it's 89.99 on Amazon and at BB...

It doesn't really matter, anyway, as I'm still sticking with Amazon due to the fact that I won't have to pay sales tax and there's the Gold Box discount ($5 is better than nothing) I'm in for... sounds good to me.
