Do I have to be a Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] member to qualify?
Yes, in order to qualify for the promotion customers must be a Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked] member at the time the pre-order is picked up or shipped.

If I am not a member of the Reward Zone Gamers Club [Unlocked], how do I join?
You can only sign up for Gamer’s Club [Unlocked] in store. If you are signing up the day you pick up an eligible pre-order, the pre-order exchange and [Unlocked] sale must be completed on the same receipt.

Is this offer available for both in-store and BestBuy.com purchases?
Yes! Pre-orders and purchases placed both in-store and on BestBuy.com qualify.

Does it count on all editions of the game?
The offer is applicable on all Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game such as special editions, limited editions, collector’s editions, etc. (subject to availability). PC, Wii, or any other platform of any of the titles does not qualify as a purchase towards this promotion.

Can I purchase multiple of the same title and still qualify for the promotion?
You can only receive one $20 certificate for each individual title, regardless of version or platform.

Sorry, I meant I pre ordered online for my local store, since it shows stock now. Update: I just got emailed 2 Andrew Luck codes.
 
I preordered the Madden game using a BB gift card and because on line it showed that it was not available for preorder at any store near me, I chose shipping (free being a silver premiere member).

It was available to preorder and pickup this morning and I wanted to be able to pick it up tomorrow plus get the additional $10 off promo for in store pickup.

The question is how can I still get the $20 preorder Gamers Unlocked bonus for preordering if it is limited to one per title and I cancel my original order?

Most of us CAGs can only speculate as to what happens when you cancel a pre-order and then redo it for the titles that are part of the $20 promo. I would suggest you to ask a Best Buy community connector about it on the Best Buy forums.
 
Who's gonna b ticked if you don't get the $20 + $10 Madden preorder in-store pick-up perks? I would but I am chancing it. I'll call if it don't work out.
 
Since my NCAA order went smoothly, I have no fears about getting the RZ Cert. The DLC should be in my email sometime tomorrow afternoon/Wednesday morning too.

I'm not doing the in-store pickup thing, but only because I prefer PMing in-store as I've never been turned down before.
 
As always, all of the Best Buy employees at my store have NO idea what is going on.

So my question is: I preordered Madden 13 and did an in-store pickup today. I know there was a promotion for a $10 gift card/code or something if you did in-store pick-up. Of course they had no idea what I was talking about.

Where/how will I get this $10 card/code?

EDIT: Can you get this code multiple times? I just placed a separate order for an in-store pick-up just now because it doesn't ship.

TRU's price for Madden is still $45 online. Hoping it sticks around for another 3+ hours so I can get my PM on later today.

Just picked mine up and they were going to price match (return/rebuy) but they then said they couldn't do it for 2 hours. I was kinda worried about still getting the $20 credit if they did that anyway. Also it was showing not available for in store pickup before I left.

Preordered in-store a few weeks ago. I'm not a fan of PMing games over the phone (and $10 isn't enough to make me want to). I tried to do it with NCAA and I got the run around for 15-20 minutes and gave up. But if you order online with in-store, you need to call in.

Where does it say on toys r us that madden is $44.99? When I put it n the cart, it says $59.99

And how are gonna go in store if all online orders (including in store pick ups) have to be price matched on the phone?

My Luck code will NOT work. Tried entering it every way possible on the Madden main screen. Never even got my Rice or Walsh code. BB is the most unorganized company ever. ALL the people who didnt preorder were out of the store (20 or so) before my buddy and I, and we were the ONLY ones there who preordered it. What the hell is the point of even preordering. They couldnt figure out how to redeem our preorders. My buddies didnt even show up in their system. He paid for it in full already. They literally just handed him the game and said ok we cant find it so we will try and figure it out tomorrow. A random guy picking up Walking Dead on Blu recommended them having him sign something that he already picked it up. Their response was "good idea" and they had him sign a piece of paper. WTF? Awful company.

I've misplaced pre-orders before & just bought the game for full price they points came thru w/o a problem. There was only 1 issue maybe 2 yrs a go where I had to call but once they saw the pre-order wasn't cancelled prior to purchase they instant credited the $10 to my RZ account. Also, BB forums reps have confirmed it as well.

Just be patient for the Walsh and Rice codes. It took me 3 days after pickup for my Darksiders Avatar DLC and my code was emailed to me.

Make sure whoever helps you does not return/rebuy the game because you won't qualify for the $20 pre-order promo. Happened to me when I tried to PM the Max Payne 3 coupon the RZ site had shortly after release. I sent an email to whoever was taking care of MP3 issues on the BB forum and they confirmed that was the case.

Yes. The $20 comes in the form of RZ certificate. It will be reflected in your rz page.

BB clowns Amazon. Price protection is the single greatest incentive there is and that doesn't even get into the other areas BB has advantages.

95% of my purchases the past 5 years were bought at the same price amazon has but were also pricematched within the time period (now 60 days) and also gained many, many reward zone certs.

The other 5% were bought at or lower than amazon's price.

not only that b/c BB sells pre-paid visa cards you can basically earn RZ points for ALL PURCHASES MADE ANYWHERE(THERE IS A $6 FEE PER $200). But since this will basically ensure RZ silver status along with the 60 pm window & $250 spent nets $5 in RZ points you don't really lose anything. Give them as presents, when people borrow money...
 
Are the various CEs of the listed games part of the promotion? Specifically, I'm considering the Hardened Edition of Black Ops 2, but it isn't explicitly included within the promotion.

Figured that i would leave the post since others will probably come to ask the same question, but the magic search function revealed that CEs of games on the list are included in the promo.

Really wish I would of tried to get BB to price match TRU before today since it went back up to $60 there.

Oh well, got a friend to let me preorder his game through me, so I should end up with extra RZ certs for nothing (well kinda, I'm giving him half of the certs)
 
I preordered madden online for in store pickup last night and linked my reward zone account to it. I was not a gamers member at time of preorder but signed up when i went to best buy this morning prior to picking up my game.. Has anyone done this and know if it works to be eligible to receive the 20$ certificate. Also is there anything on the reward zone page that lets u know it's pending or does it not show anything until 30 days when u receive it. Thanks

If you are not a Gamers Club Unlocked member at time of pre-order, you must join in-store prior to game pickup or shipment. If you join on day of in-store pickup, enrollment must be on the same transaction as game pickup and member number must be provided to be eligible. If you join after game pickup or shipment, you will not be eligible to receive an award for that title. No dealers. No rainchecks.

^Based on the fine print, you should have done both transactions on the same receipt in store. You did the game pre-order online and the membership fee in store. Not sure if you are going to get the $20.

I'm waiting for the Hardened Edition to be included as part of this promotion as well. I'd like to get the $20 rz certificate back as well. Also, when you browse the bestbuy.com website, it shows you get a $10 promo code to use later on but upon clicking on the details of it it'll show that it must be done before 8/31 so how is this possible? Black Ops 2 isn't out until November.

You answered your own question (it's not possible). Best Buy simply put the $10 offer on every video game despite when its released.
 
So a question for those with expiring GCU accounts. Does the renewal come as an email and/or available on the RZ website? I am now less than 4 weeks away from my unlocked membership expiring and I have not gotten an email, been asked at the counter, or been given the option to renew from the website.
 
I was actually just asked today if I wanted to renew. At both BB and GS lol. Popup on screen asked guy to ask me. Had no idea it had almost been a year yet :D
