Don't feel bad I had the same thing happen to me. I got a CS on the phone to ship a 20gc via snail mail so no hard feelings.

Also, why would you cancel bioshock? It's possibly the best game released in years.

I can second this - their forums are actually quite useful. If you have a problem you can make a thread there and the mods will usually send you a PM and help you out. If it's not urgent, in which case you can call BBY, using their forums is quite good but obviously slower.
 
Hate to clutter this thread more with stuff like this, but does anyone else still not have purchases from 2/19 showing up on their account? I picked up Metal Gear and Game of Thrones in separate transactions that day and neither of them are pending. I normally just wait, but this is (by a large margin) the longest period of time I've ever experienced without something at least showing up as pending (and I'm Silver, which typically means it shows up pretty fast)..
 
You have to wonder sometimes, what training do these CSRs get? Are there any questions that they ARE equipped to handle? I find I almost always know more about the store's policies than the person who's paid to.

I made a lengthy post in this thread addressing this issue last week.

You can also try reporting your transactions if your RZ account wasn't scanned.
 
For anybody that just picked up God of War at Best Buy - can you confirm whether the Mjolnir DLC is a separate code from the online pass or are they both merged together as one code to redeem? Was there any special packaging to distinguish the copies that had the BB exclusive DLC vs. the plain standard ones? Thanks in advance.

Well that's disappointing. I still haven't gotten my 1000 pts in pending status from MGR and TR yet. I'll wait it out for the 30 days before calling. Note that I'm silver and have traditionally gotten the 1k points within 2 weeks of pick up. No huge rush, I still have tons of trade in credit to cover my next preorders. Wish it would just be consistent.

Just stopped by BB during lunch. Gaming rep said they are having all sorts of problems with the Mjolnir pre-order code not printing on the receipt, so just a heads up.

In terms of special packaging, no difference as the pre-order is receipt based, as per above.

This is an example of why people are allowed to complain when their points don't show up.. Bestbuys system is horrible and unreliable

Yea same still no points for 2/19 if anyone has a solution for this please let me know.. Do I need to call?

I got the collectors edition was I supposed to get a code? I didn't get one...

Thanks. According to the BBY forums, the code is on a voucher packed inside the game case and not supposed to be printed on the receipt?

I did not get a code printed on my receipt on pickup and I did not notice until I read this post.. Not sure who to contact. Do I need to contact the store again or post on a forum somewhere or just call them?
 
Looks like we're getting all sorts of conflicting info, not sure who to believe. If the code is indeed on a voucher inside the game, I couldnt tell because there was no mention of it on the packaging.

In the past, whenever a DLC code has been printed on the receipt, I've always also gotten an e-mail. Might be a good idea to check your e-mail.

Any question I ask a rep they have to ask their supervisor or manager and they put me on hold or I hear them typing away. Whenever they come back, they almost always have to transfer me to another person, where we go through the same song and dance. It's a terrible joke at this point.

If you open up your copy i'm pretty sure it's in there.

Is the DLC code separate from the online pass?

I did take a pic of the BB upc, and it does appear to be unique (711719991885) to BB (at least if you google GoW Ascension upc).

I managed a large corporate call center for years, and I guarantee that Best Buy's issues are more from antiquated systems that are difficult to update and don't communicate well with one another, poor upper management and hiring practices, and abysmal inter-office communication, especially pertaining to rule changes. Some phone reps are lazy douches that shouldn't work in service, but most really do want to help but are left in the dark by a lack of information and crap systems that cant be well maintained and would cost far too much to replace. In fact, I'd put good money down that BB CSRs rely on at least one DOS-based system. Eventually CSRs just give up. This is the behind-the-scenes reality of most major corporations, sadly.
 
I'll preface this by saying I actually like shopping at Best Buy, in general. I'm not one who is hoping they go under, or thinks they are evil, etc. Having said that, damn, sometimes they make this so difficult it makes me question if the $20 rewards certificate is worth my wasted time plus the aggravation. Every single time the in-store pickup process changes, and I get treated like no one has ever done a pre-order before.

Today I go to pick up the collector's edition of GoW: A, which I had preordered in-store weeks early with the $5 deposit. I can't find an employee in Games at the Gaming Desk. Or in Movies. Or in Music. Or in TV's. Or in Car Audio. Finally, halfway across the store I find someone, and thankfully she agrees to help me. I show her my receipt and she hands me a regular edition of the game. I point out that I am looking for the collector's edition. 2 more people show up to help. They look in the left side of the cabinet at the gaming desk. No dice. They look it up on the computer. In stock. Finally 10 minutes later they look on the right side of the cabinet - bingo. Sigh. Ok cool, let me pay and be on my way. Well no, now I have to be escorted up to customer service to pay, which is the exact opposite of the policy I was chastised about a week ago ("pre-orders are bought at the gaming desk, not up here"). The Customer Service person struggles to do the whole thing, and then informs me she can't apply my rewardzone certificate to the purchase for some unknown reason. Finally, to top it off - despite asking me for my phone number 3 times (and confirming my info on the keypad) - she doesn't apply my rewardzone status to my purchase either, which i didn't realize until later. Total time in store: 25-30 minutes, and I still have to enter the purchase into the rewardzone site and then hope I get the points credited correctly, which I doubt will happen without me having to contact them.
 
theres a promo starting tommorow that if you spend 10$ or more you will get 500 rz points in your acount. it was advertised on the bestbuy facebook app. its once per rz acount btw. because of this im picking up god of war tommorow. that way i still get the game withn the week deadline to qualify for the 20$ rz coupon and i get the 10$ from this promo i mentioned. thats 30$ for just picking up gow ! then theres also a chance for a price match with a return rebuy if a retailer puts it on sale within the first two weeks of launch :D

Would you get the bonus 500 RZ points? :???:

So I never got my Dead Space 3 $20 cert. I called for help and the lady told me that if I use a gift card to pay for it, that it voids the special promo. Now I know that gift card purchases do not get reward zone points, but I should have received my $20 cert correct? I saw nothing about it in the terms. She still gave me the points in the end. I have two other games pre-ordered with gift cards and I don't want to have to go through this each time. Was she telling me the truth?

Thats not true and its on the Best Buy Forums. If they tell you that direct them to the FAQ for the 2013 Victory Can Be Yours promo.

So I see my 1000 points on my DS3 preorder finally, however it doesn't show into my total points yet, so can't get my $20 rz cert right now. Maybe tomorrow...?

apperently it starts tommorow. oh and it looks like there is no return rebuy for me with gow. oh well the fact that im getting 30$ in rz points in return is still great for picking up this epic game. if anytning mabye with luck my bestbuys didnt get the memo about the post purchase price matching lol

I went to pick up my GoW: Ascension collectors edition. The gaming department told me last week that all pre-orders are picked up in customer service. I go to in-store pickups and this girl tells me oh your one of the lucky ones. She then tells me they only got 2 collectors editions out of 6 pre-orders. This is a fucked up for the people that are going to have to wait. I'm sure they will get a gift card for the trouble but this still shouldn't have happened.

I got them to PM Amazon and got a $10 gift card. I know this is YMMV but might work for others. The manager told me they have the $20 pre-order system worked out well now. I just read this thread and can't see any truth to that.

target and amazon are giving out 10$ gift cards for gow. i figure i have nothing to loose by trying to match one of those promos at bestbuy right ?
 
Well I had to end up filling out the missing transaction form last week for my Dead Space 3 pickup. The transaction popped up over the weekend, but the 1,000 bonus points didn't show until just a few mins ago. Right before I was about to call BB, so at least there's that. :p

I'm still slightly concerned about my Revengeance pickup. It's not showing either, but when I try to fill out the missing transaction form for it it tells me this transaction has already been applied to my account. Very strange.

I figured it's worth a shot since the worst thing they can tell you is NO! Amazon is the only place I knew that had the $10 credit for the collectors edition. They better not mess up the points now.

BB told me the same thing. I wouldn't get the preorder bonus points because I paid using gift cards. Never heard of that before.

I'm going the BB Unboxed Forum route and post to try to get the points....as I really don't feel like dealing with BB customer service in direct conversation. That can be unbelievably painful as I've found in past experiences.

I strongly advise against getting only the Vita version of Sly. There are some parts of the game where they force you to use motion controls on the Vita but on the PS3 you use normal controls. Some of these sections are made FAR more frustrating than they should be on the Vita because of this. I repeatedly tried to beat a boss that required motion controls on the Vita with no success, then transferred the save that night to my PS3 & beat him in less than a minute.
 
Can you guys with the DS3 1000 points redeem your points yet? I can't but I can see them posted on my purchase, yet it'snot going into my total points I have. =P
