Dawn Of The Dead (remake)
Halloween (original)
12.99 I'm in

Sick Puppies(saw em last week) I'll bite for 7.99

I'm down with the Halloween remake! the first one was actually pretty incredible, a lot different from what I expected to be a quick cash-in.

I'm intrigued by the "Find 'em first" sale. Anyone able to offer any opinions or suggestions on any of the albums/artists listed?

If you're into commerical, harder edged rock (think Chevelle or Breaking Benjamin) then Cavo and Sick Puppies would be good picks. Lighter, alternative Postal Service/ Killers type rock, the Phoenix and Owl City CD's are good picks.

Those are the only ones I know from that list and like them all.

Florence & The Machine - Lungs (in stores Tues)
- Sing that song 'A Kiss w/ a Fist' from Jennifer's Body soundtrack. That song title means someone is getting punched in the face! and about relationships I suppose. The sound is almost a throw back to old timey type music, with lite fuzz in the background (think 50's) but upbeat due to some swing, punk, and a little ska type elements. I guess if you like female lead singers, this would be a good album. It reminded me a lot of Ida Maria's single, 'I Like You So Much Better When You're Naked"

LMAFAO - Party Rock - people responsible for the "We're in Miami Bitch" and theme for Kourtney and Khloe take Miami tv series. pass on this.

Owl City - Ocean Eyes - this is some awesome stuff! this guy recorded this album in his parents house, where he just basically stayed inside until he got it done. At first you will think it's the lead singer from Death Cab. The songs are really upbeat and have a lot of synth parts (obviously, the guy did it on a computer) However, the lyrics get really really silly in some parts, and like with Death Cab, you can only take the guys whiney, high-pitched voice for so long before you gotta hear some rock.

In It for Hostel 2 and Teeth!

Alos Im pretty sure the "wal mart exclusive" of Transformers 2 with thwe IMAX footage will be $19.96. I saw it on another forum that has it listed as that price in the ad.
So has it been confirmed that Walmart will have the exclusive IMAX footage on Blu and what the price will be?
Hasn't been officially confirmed but they are advertising a Big Screen Edition for $19.96.

Edit: http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=110832&page=30 post #587 has a picture of the sign at Walmart advertising their Big Screen Edition.

Love how the sign says "Videogame Available at 12:01 AM" then the rest of the sign talks about a movie! hahaahah

I don't see a price on the sign though unless I'm just really tired and missed it.

The price isn't on that one, I'll try to find the post with the ad.

Edit: Found it http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=110832&page=16 Post #313

And it looks like it is the IMAX version http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=110832&page=56 Post #1112

Just a heads up for anyone who doesn't know, Papa Johns has a $3 off coupon for RotF.
Do we know if there's a Transformers 2 Digital Copy out there? I'd prefer to pick it up on Blu with that.
I don't think there is, there's been no advertisement for it.

Somehow, I never got around to watching Snakes On A Plane. Is it worth $13 on blu? Is it so-stupid-it's-funny, or just plain stupid?

Snakes is stupidly amazing. It is good for a group watching movie. It was fun seeing it in theaters opening night for all the people there for the cheesiness but was best in a hotel room full of 14 people getting checked on for loud "Eat the Baby" chants.

whats with the 2 different prices on the transformers 2 dvd/br prices?
Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen

The first price is during the first three hours on Tuesday. The second price is for the rest of the week. Terrible idea that will only frustrate customers I'm pretty sure.

The Halloween (original) deal is meh. Why would anyone pay $12 for it at Best Buy when it was $10 at Best Buy a few weeks ago?

I might be in for Beerfest. Very funny movie. Not sure something like that is really worth owning on Blu though.

Swordfish is tempting too, just to see Halle's "Berrys" in HD. ;)

Edit: Halloween (original) is currently $10 on Amazon. Don't even bother with the Best Buy "sale" on that one.

Phoenix - Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix

worth every 7.99+ tax money

Wal-Mart has it listed for $23.32 online. And not sure if that's the IMAX ed.

here's the link http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=12534009

If it is in fact the one that as the IMAX extra's then I'll end up getting it here with the Papa John's coupon.

Converge for $7.99. Heard great things about that album and they put on a damn good show at the Dethklok show (besides alot of people not knowing who they are), fuck, I'll support them.

I think that one is the IMAX edition because it lists:

Blu-ray: Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen (Wal-Mart Exclusive Big Screen Edition) (2-Disc Special Collector's Edition) (Blu-ray) (Widescreen)

While the other version of it on Wal-Mart's site only says:

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=12342058

Blu-ray: Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen (2-Disc) (Blu-ray) (Widescreen)
