Way back in 2009 I saw a thread on CAG about a PSOne with the LCD at Gamestop for $25. I picked up the last one. I then went and bought a bunch of games that I loved playing, but sold everything when I got broke. Big mistake. :/

I got a free DS lite once. My ex girlfriend's dad's company used to print boxes for nintendo of america in seattle. He had a few samples CIB and gave me one.

The best deal I ever got was an xbox 360 elite still in the box for free last year. I was going to buy it off the guy on craigslist for $70 which was still a good deal, but he said it had a problem reading some of his games so he just gave it to me for free:)

I got a Dreamcast for $49, when Kay-Bee Toys was going out of business. Came with 3 2K sports games and an extra controller, I beleive.
A PS3 60gb for $250 when they were selling for $600 because no one was buying them.
Was this at Boscov's Department Store by chance?

Because thats how I got mine. Funny thing is, was the 60GB backwards compatable and it was almost 3 years after it launched (It was still marked $600). I still have it sealed too.

Edit: Oh, Missouri...they dont have Boscov's out there. Nevermind.

A Dreamcast with Power Stone 2, Tony Hawks, Soul Caliber, Sonic Adventures 1 &2 for $40. Too bad the Dreamcast is in need of some modification for it to work properly.

3 Tales of Interest:

1. My family had a fun tradition of going shopping at Gurnee Mills the day after Christmas and hitting JCPenny's after Christmas sale. They always had all toys and electronics (including games) 50% off so I usually got some pretty cool stuff every year. In 1995, I got the biggest score ever - a SEGA Saturn! It had just launched that May for $399 but we got it for $199 during the after Christmas sale. :D
tl;dr: Brand-new SEGA Saturn for $199 during launch year (retail = $399)

2. When I was living in Japan, I used to scour numerous used game stores and hunt for cool/rare games for my collection. One day, I took a slightly different route back to my apartment and noticed a store named "TV Game" as I was driving along and decided to check it out. It was a tiny hole-in-the-wall place with 2 aisles: one full of retro games, the other full of manga. However, it was one of the stores where nothing was priced and you have to haggle with the owner. I picked out some manga volumes I wanted and looked through the games. I found a CIB copy of "UFO Kamen Yakisoban" for Super Famicom and decided to flip through the cart-only games (which I rarely do). I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it: a copy of "R2: Rendering Ranger"! It's one of the rarest Super Famicom games and regularly sells for ~$100+ even in Japan. I was prepared to offer 6000-8000 yen (~$60-80) for it but decided to see what the shop owner said first. The owner seemed a bit nervous at first (considering I'm a 6'5" American dude), but when I went to the counter and asked "How much for all of this stuff?" in Japanese he seemed relieved, haha. He went through the stack pricing everything: "150yen each for the manga, 800yen for this (Yakisoban), and....[*drumroll*] how about 200yen for this one?(Rendering Ranger)" I nodded yes, quickly paid the man, and screamed "YES!" as soon as I got outside. :D
tl;dr: R2: Rendering Ranger for Super Famicom (cart-only) for 200yen

3. A few months ago, I was at my local Goodwill and was surprised to see the usual "sports game shelf" full of SEGA Master System games. I grabbed quite a few as I scanned the shelf but stopped in awe when I saw it: Sonic The Hedgehog for SMS! I thought to myself, "there's no way", but sure enough when I checked the back of the case it had the UPC sticker denoting that it was the ultra-rare US version! The best part is that I got it (and the other games I'd picked out) for only $3.99 each!
It might not seem like a big deal, but this version of the game has sold for a fortune in the past: http://blog.pricecharting.com/2011/12/sonic-hedgehog-master-system-us-version.html
tl;dr: Sonic the Hedgehog for SEGA Master System (US version) for $3.99

Pricematched Monster Hunter for $39.99. had $30 in gift cards, and boyfriend paid rest. Basically, free game.

i got a ds lite at a garage sale for $4 last weekend

reason it was $4!, was cause the bending hing was broken. used superglue and its back together,

i should take it apart and put into a new shell, but i dont want to break the handheld by my hands.

No one will be impressed since I don't think there is any 5200 collectors here, but I got Bounty Bob Strikes Back for the 5200 for $3 at a flea market. I sold it a few hours after posting for $300. I've also gotten some killer deals at Play N Trade in the past, like a mint in box copy of E.V.O. for SNES for $4.50.
