best place to buy a laptop

Gaming laptops fail horribly, just get a desktop for a fraction of the cost. You can probably afford a desktop + a cheap laptop for that same price.

Yeah, It's tough to find a cheap laptop that has gaming power. I don't think you'll find one for gaming under 1200 but I'm not sure.

Unless you plan on using it for gaming, get a Mac. If you're a student, you can still get in on the free iPod deal.
