I'm a little bit confused by the wording of the deal. Tell me if I'm right:

You buy one of those movies listed and then you can get any HD-DVD of equal or lesser value. Or do you have to pick the freebie off that list too?

This is taken directly off Speedy's sticky topic:

High Definition Discs at $29.99 Each or Where Marked:

Buy 1, Get 1 Free Only Good On Titles Listed In This Section // Purchases must be made on same receipt

Free Discs must be of equal or lesser value

Then the same list of titles as in this thread follows.

Considering I just bought Bourne. Lmao.. didnt realize bourne Ultimatium was included.

Damnit. Oh well. Ill rebuy it next week, not a huge deal, get mr and mrs smith on blu ray as well..37 for two hi def movies woot :)

Finally an HD DVD BOGO deal with some good titles, hopefully this will bring a lot of people in to buy Red in a big way.

Not just HD DVD, but Blu-Ray BOGO as well.
But like other's have said, check the weekly sticky thread for the weekly sales on the big 3.

You can't say stuff like that on this forum. They'll hunt you down and kill you. ;)

Is there any reason why I wouldnt be able to buy the 2 I want today and return/rebuy them Sunday? This way I guarantee my titles and can sleep in on Sunday still

I don't see why not, I was planning on doing this myself sometime tonight or tomorrow.

Updated OP...sale is for both HighDef formats...

I know, I know...but I'd get shit from certain people if I didn't.

Assuming I can mix and match, I'ma pick up Bourne Ultimatum and a choice between either - 28 weeks later, or Hostel II.

Gah. 28/Hostel 2 is tempting, but i'd rather get both 28s or both Hostels, and BB tends to have decent shipping rates. Gah. I'll wait til I can get both in the same series at once.

I'm thinking I'm going to do an in-store pickup order saturday night on Bourne and probably Chuck and Larry, even though its supposed to be a crap movie.

I was going to do knocked up, but I noticed its only $19.99 right now, and I've got a $5 RZ certificate, so I'm picking that up now.
i liked chuck and larry.. if your a sandler fan then you will prob like it..

plus biel=hot
Seconded!

and

Shrek 3 and Bourne (a gift) for me. Not bad. Blu-ray selection sucks as most of those titles have already been BOGO for months.

I'm in for:

Shrek 3
Bourne 3
Ocean's 3
Chuck and Larry

Add that to Superman Returns (noncombo) and Waterworld and thatsq quite a week for HD DVD.

as mentioned above, it's probably wise to do an in-store pickup order today..and pick it up TOMORROW. When you go, you should be able to return/rebuy.

anybody know if you can buy 2 of the same title? Like 2 bournes??

I just made my in store order to be adjusted tomorrow. When looking on their site at the in-store pickup section, they had some interesting things there that would be of use to you guys...

Low price guarantee:
If your product is available at a lower price in the store at the time of pickup, your credit card and/or gift card will automatically be adjusted to reflect the lowest available price.

Store Pickup Guarantee
When you order at BestBuy.com®, we'll have it ready 1 minute after you present your confirmation e-mail (5 minutes for larger items — see #3 below), or you get $10 off.

Follow these steps:
Choose store pickup and wait for your e-mail confirming the pickup is ready.
Present your confirmation e-mail or a valid order number to the Customer Specialist at the BestBuy.com pickup counter, and in 1 minute we'll have your order prepared for pickup.
NOTE: Larger items, such as major appliances, furniture and TVs over 20", require up to 5 minutes.
If we fail to meet our promise, we'll credit your order up to $10.
Here are the details:
One minute starts after you have presented your photo ID, purchasing credit card and your confirmation e-mail or valid order number to us, and when Best Buy enters your order number into our computer system. Best Buy will track the time, which will end when you have the product in your possession.
Wait time in line and the time to print your receipt not included.
All credits will go back to the credit card or Gift Card used on the purchase. Orders less than $10 will be credited up to the amount of the purchase.
Eligible only for customers who present their confirmation e-mail or a valid order number at the counter.
Orders for which non-physical credit cards are used as payment (including, but not limited to, virtual or one-time-use credit cards) are excluded from the guarantee.
See a Customer Specialist for more information.

So, I'm planning on printing out the auto price reduction section, and the one minute guarantee, because last time I tried using store pickup in the middle of summer with no rush, it took them five minutes to find my order and 1/3 of it wasn't even there, so Christmas chaos should entitle me to another decent discount unless they've vastly improved things at my store.

Just did in store pick up on Borne, transformers, chuck and larry, and knocked up.

got the email saying my orders are ready for pick up.

got to watch these quick, I deploy in 16 days.

Death from above

Here are a couple of questions for someone who knows.

Is this sale online?

If so when does it take effect, what time 12:01 am eastern time or what?

Post #33 helps a lot but I don't want to wait for the adjustment at the store and I will be using RZ Certs so I figure that may be too much for the CS person to deal with. Hopefully I can purchase late tonight or early in the morning depending on when this sale takes effect.

I want Borne and Transformers. Blind buy on both but seems safe!

it probably will be online, but I think these retailers update their website at a very odd time...like 4 am est or something.

It's not worth staying up.

My question still stands - Can you buy 2 copies as a part of the bogo?

got a reward zone certificate in the mail ..... and got a coupon that states

buy any three blu ray movie and get 20 dollars off ........

Anyone think this will stack?
So any Blu-ray recommendations? (I already have 300)
The Departed. Ocean's Thirteen if you're not planning on getting the trilogy set.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith is good, but it's not worth $35.

If I'm not mistaken, you can use RZ certificates online now. I'm pretty sure I saw a spot for them while I was ordering, because I thought to myself "Wow, I could have skipped the lines when I was getting Knocked Up today... the movie that is." I haven't seen Bourne yet, but if its as good as the other two I'll be happy. Transformers is very good though.

Crank is good for demo material. 28 Weeks Later, and the Departed are both good too. The Condemned looks good picture quality wise, but is a terrible movie.

God, "The Condemned" was nightmaric. I like cheesey action flicks but this was so bad It made my head hurt

I decided to go inperson today and pay cash, that way I don't tie up my $$$ for days like they normally do and I can get more Christmas shopping done. Sure, it's time consuming but the $$$ will be returned in a day as opposed to days, so it's allright. I purchased:

Disturbia HD
I Now Pronounce You... HD
Shooter HD
Bourne Ultimatum HD
Knocked Up Hd
Hostel 2 BR
Saw 3 BR
Mr. & Mrs. Smith BR

They didn't have Mr. Brooks available :( so I got Shooter (which I didn't want) instead, hopefully they don't give me crap about mixing and matching. I saw that Knocked Up is $19.99 currently, but the dude at the counter said he couldn't price match 'cause he was using their intranet and it showed it was $29.99. I showed him on my PPC's browser then he said he'd need a printout. Screw him, so I purchased that another one seperately online (for instore pick up) and applied a $10 RZ Cert

So I'm going to pick the $9.99 Knocked Up tomorrow and then exchange it as my $29.99 I bought earlier for something else, maybe Crank? then price match and get my $$$ back

Didn't BB just get sued for the old bait and switch. They did the same crap to me about a camcorder, tryed to charge me 50 bucks more and showedme on the "internet". What a bunch of losers.

Offer is up but I'm not getting the second movie free during the check-out. It shows both at normal price all the way until the order submit portion.

Ok, it showed it at 31.79 with tax for a second, now its back up to full at the confirm stage....

Edit: finally went through. Got Bourne and Transformers. Yay.
