not sure if this is a typo or not,

but i just noticed this while looking for a cheap copy of this game.

if you search for "infamous" on bb's site, it shows 29.99, but when

you actually click on it, it shows 9.99. i successfully ordered one

without any hassle though. :) currently waiting for my 'ready-to-pick-up' email

update: just got an email my item is ready to pick up :) guess it wasn't a typo.

so i can pick it up at local bb.

This. its just cases of being extreme nerds actually not buying something because of a damn color on a box and not because of the game itself. Its not like its diff content or stuff like that. ill be seeing if frys can price match since best buy seems sold out in the area and ill actually be playing the game and not caring about some minimal color change that has no effect on the overall product
 
Well I bit on this as well as the $20 Uncharted 2 GOTY edition at BB. Had a $20 RWZ cert so $10 for these 2 games is a great deal.

Guess I am no longer on the fence about the PS3 and am going to go ahead and get the one from Gamestop with the coupon I got this week.

Excellent decision! I'd also recommend you pick up the first Uncharted (Drake's Fortune), because you'll really appreciate how much better Uncharted 2 is after playing the first one (mainly because the first one is so good, you'll be shocked that they made a sequel that's even better.)

A year or two from now the original game in the NON greatest hits case will be worth significantly more if it is put up for resale.

Some of us try to make money buying and selling games to fuel or hobby of playing them

Edit: Think of it as a first printing or first edition similar to how books are reprinted. Later editions are always less value UNLESS they include additional content or are released in smaller quantities.

I agree that this is an excellent decision. Their are many good games that have come out in the last few years. If your budget is small I would start by picking those up.. they'll keep you busy for quite some time.
 
Just wanted to comment what others have seen - my Cary, NC BB said unavailable on the site, but when I stopped in they 3.

Still marked at $29.99 on the shelf but rang up at $9.99.

Yeah, 2.5 hours away here in Jacksonville NC was similar. Not available on the website but a drive there I found one copy sitting off to the side by the move bundles. Rang up 9.99. Thanks for the heads up. Never would have bothered to check if ya'll hadn't posted that happening at your stores.
 
Bestbuy.com showed them out of stock in every Best Buy near my area. I went to the two closest; first one was sold out, second one had two copies, so I grabbed one.

Yeah, it said unavailable at all my nearby stores, but based on CAG's advice, I decided to go to a third store and grabbed the one and only copy they had. :applause:
 
Grabbed this for $9.99 in Leominster MA, also grabbed some of the other games that were cheap this week. They kinda suck but I grabbed Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (360), Dead to Rights: retribution (ps3) and Clash of the Titans(ps3) for 9.99 each to add to the backlog. Also grabbed a ton of copies of Brink (price matched from TRU) to flip cause the Fallout pack dlc was selling for so high.
 
The BB in Dickson City, PA had zero copies in stock, and when I asked for help the girl (looked about 15, and the only person on the floor I could find) went to the 360 section to look for it. Ugh...had to show here the ps3 section, then she looked it up on the store computer, showing all local stores were out of stock. Then she tried ordering it online for me to have it shipped free to my house, again, no luck. The system said it was out of stock at my three local stores, so it wouldn't let her order it. Really weird system they have there or else she didn't what she was doing. Out of luck I guess...but then again no biggie. I hated the trial, so might have still not liked the actual game.

Site now shows $29.99.

This is the second time I've missed a deal for this game. The other time was when NewEgg had it for $10.99.

I enjoyed the demo and I love these types of games. Currently logging in many hours with Just Cause 2 and looking forward to buying Red Dead Redepmtion / Undead Nightmare when they go on sale or if a GOTY version comes out.
