was really hoping for 15 pop, but i guess it's ubisoft, so we wait a few months and it will be 20 new msrp probly. look at assassin's creed 2, and that was actually a really good game.
wish i would get ff13 for 20, but iv had it since march and havnt opened it... im full of fail

My wife made the same point when the coupon failed this morning. I told her that I'd bet not 10 people from CAG subscribe. Why would you when the coupons are worthless...
 
So are the magazine coupons not working @ all? Or just in combination w/ sale prices? I do need to pick up Bioshock 2 for pc for $10...man that's a good price.

It just proves that the @Gamer coupon makers are less incompetent than the RZ department makers. If the @Gamer coupon maker ever quites his/her job, they may replace him/her with dumber person. I'm sure CAG'ers will be there when that happens.
 
OK, all the posts about abuse ruining the Gamer mag coupons (which have never been used before now ;)) has been deleted. It seems the RZ coupons continue to stack with sale prices (eg, FF XIII) so that was an invalid argument from the start.

Anyway, yeah, I agree about the Gamer mag - no way I'd subscribe now. Too bad I can't even make use of the free copy I got. Oh well, I was thinking $15 was too much for the PoP game anyway - I'll wait for it to be even cheaper.

I was excited about PoP for $15, but not so much for $24. Too much backlog. Hell - if I had waited for Tomb Raider: Underworld, I would have saved $3 over target's clearance price of $12.49. Now I'll just wait for it to be $10.

Still thinking about FF XIII, even though I have never played a FF game. I figure I'm not out any money if I buy it, play it and trade it. I'll get 30 days to see if I like it.

Pretty obvious he got some chill employees or made a big fuss. Funny that they don't work though; I was thinking about picking up Skate 3 and possibly FFXII even though it's supposed to be terrible, though I definitely won't now.

I don't even know if it's worth the effort to try and get them to give the full discount on Skate 3...
 
Picked up Spirt Traks for 15 and FF13 4 20, used a 30 dollar rward zone cert and got them both for 5 bucks....

Picked up Final Fantasy XIII. I almost bought it at launch.... but I thought a true CAG would wait it out. This was a pretty short wait too! Sweeettttt! I also had a $20 Reward Zone certificate, so it was no money out of my pocket!
 
Got Final Fantasy XIII for $20 today. I hope that they'll put Sin & Punishment on sale while the coupon's active so I can get it for cheaper too.
 
Asked in the BB thread, but figure I'll ask here to: Anyone have any luck with PMing GC promos? Specifically the TRU deal this week?

What I would like to get is, Transformers: WFC ($49.99) + PoP ($29.99-$5.00) + $50 GC. Is this something BB would typically do? Or am I gonna have to twist someone's arm and possibly get shot down?

I referenced BB's policy regarding GC price matches, but it sounds like there may be some issues with sale pricing of games. Thanks for any feedback regarding this.

The coupon for Skate 3 worked... I guess I got lucky :). Cashier was nice, and luckily the manager was in a hurry when she was called over for an override. Can't get any better than $20 for Skate 3. I had my girlfriend behind me in line and she was unable to get PoP for $15 :(... I tried another BB for PoP and they gave me $5 off since it was 'already on sale'... no thanks.

i think bestbuy is matching target's buy2 $40+ games/accessories get $20 gc, and it works with $50 psn cards. that would be great if your deal works too tho, i dont think they would pricematch the gc deal and take a coupon at the same time tho, and tru has pop at a different price, so idk...

I think you'd have to be lucky beyond belief. Maybe if there are 20 or 30 people behind you buying $1000 TVs and then the AC goes out in the store and you decide to argue your point when all but the register you're standing at goes down - you could make it happen...

1) Provide you the GC as a PM, if the games in question are the same price at BB as well as the vendor being PMd.
2) Provide you a discount off the purchase equal to the GC value, assuming the games again are the same price between BB and the vendor being PMd.

If the games aren't the same price, you usually won't get anything on a PM.

They also won't do a PM + coupon usage unless you get an employee that doesn't care about manually adjusting the price for the price after coupon + PM.

And if you find one of them, remember who they are, because as long as they're working there, you should bring them doughnuts and buy them a Coke every once in a while. :)

I've never had a cashier that would do any sort of manual adjustment. Even though I've found plenty that would ring things in certain orders, or let penny guides sell or any number of other sketchy things that BB has let ride.

I'm still on the fence about FF XIII, which means I probably won't buy it this week. If I have to think about something that much, I obviously don't want it.

Score! Nabbed Prince of Persia for $15.

As predicted the computer read it as a $5 coupon. Manager checked the shelf tag ($29.99) and they had a shelf tag promoting $15 off with Gamer coupon. He had no problem overriding the transaction and just took $10 off the initial price and let the coupon do it's $5 thing.
