Any day now the first $9.99-19.99 holiday disasters should start popping up.

I'd really like to get Half Life 2 and Battlefield 2 for $20. If EA's financials and sales are as bad as they say they are I'm rubbing my hands together in ghoulish anticipation.

Sales like this, where it's "2 items for $XX" price, they tend not to work well with coupons. When it's a normal price like $29.99 (which this sale could be, for all we know, and we'd know on Sunday), they will work. Bundled items where they need 2 (or more) items together to discount the items tend not to work well on coupon usage, and it goes to YMMV. If BB just knocked them down to $29.99 each, then we're golden.

I'm with you there. Both those two are on my "buy at $20" list, and if EA is as bad off as we've been hearing for sales, I'm sure we'll get some reductions in price on some items.
 
Thanks for posting. Oooooo...the possibility of getting Half-Life 2 for $20 (or even $30) is nice. I already picked up Battlefront II for $15 at Sears in November. I did pick up Kong for $20 and that's a nice price, too considering it also comes with a movie ticket, too.

I have one too and I need to spend it and I also have a coupon for double reward points on any single item. I wish they would have something good already. Two weeks for me and nothing to buy that's ridiculous.
 
Meh, there's gotta be more game deals than that, since once again the PC section was ignored.

I got it this week and I really enjoy it. Once again, Rockstar produced another hit game.

Adwise, I may get Half-life 2 and Battlefront 2.

They'll scan up their original price until the cashier totals it together (i.e the "packaging prices") and the register will then drop them to $29.99 a piece, which is too late to put in coupons.

If you put in coupons before, the register will just override it to the sale price once they package the prices.
 
Half Life 2 & Battlefront II are looking pretty tempting for me to use my gift card on but I think I'm gonna wait for them to drop to at least $20 each before I buy them. Anyways, thanks for the info OP.
 
Eh well, already have the really good games on that list for $19.99 recently (especially the GTA trilogy! :lol: ), dag nabbit why won't SotC drop to $29.99 already!!! :wall: I hope that drops before the end of the $10 coupon. Thanks OP!

Thanks OP. I wonder if maybe these could come 1 for $30 and so on. There's really only one game I want, Half Life 2, but otherwise the rest I've gotten from previous weeks deals after coupon. I might have to buy two and then just return one. $30 for Half Life is a great price.

Woah there, where did that come from? I don't remember being beligerent about this in the past, or crying about it in this topic. I was simply stating that chances are there are more deals in the ads than the ones posted.

So again just PM the guy instead of this week after week after week of posts. Alright, enough we get it. Obviously it just must be out of the OPs hands or why don't you just post them? Posting deals takes up a lot of time.

Again, maybe you're just confusing me with someone else, or you have some problem with angst that you have to take out on some random poster, but all I said was that there's a good chance there are more deals than the ones posted. Is it the OP's fault? No. I never said it was.

I apologize if what I said offended you, but I really just think you've got some deep-seeded anger issues that need to be worked out.
 
Unless someone has a copy of the ad in-hand, they're pulling it from whatever source had them in hand, first-hand or otherwise.

I'm sure if the OP, or someone else, gets updated information, it'll get posted here.

People should be thankful that the ads even get posted in advance, since most everyone isn't privvy to the infomation in advance. If they're not complete, I'm sure it was because the information had at hand didn't include it. Again, if someone else has more updated information, they can post it in here, and either a mod or the OP can add it to the OP for this thread.

Also, if you've ever posted all the ads (which I've done a few times, as well as a number of others), it does take a lot of time to transcribe it, as well as check the fine print for any restrictions for the like. With Target, CC, BB, TRU and Kmart as mainstays, that's a lot of work. When you've done it yourself one, then you have a right to complain, if you really wanted to. In any case, be glad you're getting any advance notice.

Making commentary about something missing just invites flames. Please don't fan any flames, or light any fires. Be thankful there's any advance information, and move on with your day.

Meh, you make it sound like I was trolling, which of course wasn't my intention. But I will keep what you said in mind, and I apologize again for any misunderstandings.
 
Like I've mentioned before, often times the PC games are on completely different pages then the video games. I know Best Buy recently started putting PC Games in with the PC stuff.

The people who are originally copying the ads probably aren't PC gamers, so they aren't hunting down the PC games deals.

Not saying you were trolling, I was just saying that this is how we ended up in the current situation. We had one CAG doing the ads regularly and someone made commentary about something in the ads, and it turned into a situation where that CAG chose not to do the ads anymore.

I'm just trying to keep things OT.

it might not have been you...there was this guy who kept complaining that the PC ads were "never" posted in advance, and week after week, he would post something about it...maybe you just posted at the wrong time about the whole "PC deals being missing," so that guy got mad at you...dunno though

anyway, that's a good deal for BF2 and NFS:MW

i'll wait for them to be 29.99 each though, so i can use the coupon; i hope it's sometime before the end of the month :pray:
 
Too bad I picked up HL2 for $40 at Target a few weeks back and just beat it, awesome game, still well worth the money. The only other game I want off this weeks list is the Warriors so I guess I'll have some time to catch up on all those $10 TRU games. Still waiting for SotC at $30 so I can use the coupon.
 
This shouldnt even be an issue, we should be thankful that stuff gets posted when it does, i know it makes my life alot eaiser since often the stupid paper over here doesnt include all the ads and some stores ads just are not included in our paper period.

Also sometimes all stores might not have deals for all platforms, thats certaintly not the poster's fault, i have seen many a best buy ad where only the PSP/PS2/XBOX has had any deals and the rest of the systems there is just nothing in the ad for them, thats not our fault.
 
~$28 AC for Tiger Woods 06 PSP sounds just about right, I think that's how much I have left on my gift card.
 
No PC games, so nothing for me this week; that is, until I get to look at the sale fliers in my Sunday paper this weekend.

I guess some people simply don't recognize the PC as a valid gaming platform, which is unfortunate. I suppose I was guilty of the same thing before I got a new PC and video card. Now I hardly ever touch my console games, with the exception of Dynasty Warriors.

Anyway, the inclusion of a few PC games on sale each week would be greatly appreciated. I can still find the sales in my Sunday paper, but it is nice to get them a few days in advance. Thanks.
 
Warriors is a decent game, kinda short though, but it's worth 20 bucks. I've been playing half life and I have to say I am dissapointed so far.
