I just got an email saying first 5000 to apply will be beta testers for battfield modern combat by ea for the ps2...

what e-mail listing do you have to sign up for to get ea beta's?
 
my link isn't working, the page isn't opening for me..and the copy and paste link isn't working for me either...SON OF A
 
I did too... It was a little vague, as I signed up and it said thank you for entering your information, etc, and I could not tell if it meant I was being considered....

I clicked on the link again and it said the beta test was not accepting registrations yet....

But, since I just signed up for it, does it mean that I will likely be accepted?

Clear your cookies, thats why I had to do and yeah I am in.
 
Mine said to be looking for a future email with instructions on when I would recieve my game disc, etc....
 
Man, I am stupid... I guess I got accepted?

I cleared my cookies and tried again, and i get this message



"Thank you for enrolling


Thanks for your interest in the public online beta test program. Unfortunately, The beta program you enrolled in is not yet active"
I believe that means I am in, right? I swear, I am not stupid, but I'm not getting it right now...

Nice, I eventually got in and got this confirmation message:

Congratulations! You are now enrolled in the online beta test program for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system. You will receive an email in the next few days with information about receiving your beta kit and instructions to access the beta website.

Can't wait to actually get the game and try it out.

damn it was in my bulk too... i was about to be pissed.

i did the link posted here first and got a server error then i clicked the link in my email and it said i'm enrolled in it.

Thank you for taking part in this Battlefield Modern Combat multiplayer trial.

Please note that you are playing an ALPHA build of the game which is not yet finished. This does not represent how the finished game will look, how it will sound or how it will play. This version does not include all the features that will be available in the final game. This trial is for the purposes of testing the game to further development in the aforementioned areas. There will be significant improvement in all parts of the game. We do not expect the current play experience to be perfect and neither should you.

However we do hope you all have a great time playing the game and you can count on all of us here at DICE to be playing it with you!

Hope this has some sort of multiplayer component that's NOT online.. even a 1 map deathmatch.. maybe a single player level.. as long as its not online only. I'm already super hyped! Can't wait!!!

Get a flippin headset so we can talk while playing. I wanna make sure you wait while I hop up on the wing and catch a ride

Did everyone get the message Scorch got? I was just wondering, as I signed up and it told me I was enrolled, but that is all.

it's under.. umm.. I think you have to click my games, then click Battlefield.
 
the instructions and controls booklet is online in this one. From the pics, the game looks like it should be pretty fun.

It says you have to have a gamespy account to play the game.. and if you dont have one, you create one in the main menu... wonder if this is going into the final version.

No, It's an Alpha release. The game's not supposed to be released until this fall, so it'll probably be buggy. But that's what TESTING is for !!
 
bump because kits are coming tomorrow.

anyone want to play sometime this weekend? NC state plays tomorrow so I probably will not play tomorrow, but Saturday I may get on to play for a little while
