Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree
The Sonic commercial took place in an amusement park/carnival setting. That was pretty much it.

The Red Steel commercial had the 2 guys roll up, bow, and say Wii would like to play and then present the Wiimote?? I don't remember that. I remember a commercial just showing clips of the game, and then the sensai (sp?) narrated the whole thing.
Nah, I don't think Nintendo will be directing the commercials for anyone else ;), but they actually showed the dude playing the game, with his sensei directing him.

I may not recall the Sonic commercial if it was anything special (edit: yeah, I never saw this one):

OOOHH Yeah!!! Jeeze, 7 months was a long time ago! I remember that!

Yeah the Sonic commercial wasn't anything interesting. Just an amusement park..and I guess since rollercoasters are fast..and so is Sonic ....?

I generally do like the idea of these commercials, but I don't think they really showcase the game that much. But I know what the point is: They are showing more clips of what the PEOPLE are doing, rather then what's going on in the game. Still love the Wii Sports commercial with the fat Aunt playing boxing and she won.. good for her!! :)

If you haven't seen the BBA:Wii Degree commercial yet, it's the same ol'e thing..takes place in someones house and shows a big bunch of family members (of ALL ages) playing and having the time of their life..and shows a REALLY old lady playing. I've only seen this twice..and if I recall correctly, this lady was REALLY old looking..LOL
Wasn't there a Rayman commericial?
Several, but not of the Nintendo ilk. Though there may be a small bit in one of those montage commercials.

Here's all the commercials Nintendo has done.
Hey, would it be possible to do a price match w/ Best Buy and then use $5 off coupon?

$35 sounds decent to me, heh.
that would depend on luck
So, anyone get this?
Mine hasn't arrived yet. :(

Hopefully sometime this week!
I don't think it comes out until tomorrow, according to EB. Today's the day it's shipped to stores.

Figured I'd be a guinea pig here.

I went out and bought it. Not bad, and pretty fun. Very much a casual type game, but a nice distraction none the less.

40.00 was probably a little too much, 30.00 seems about right for this game.
Is the 15 types of games thing true? And is there enough variation to make it worth a purchase?
Yea, but you have easy/medium/hard difficulties. I actually don't mind the lack of games compared to say, warioware, because the games keep you on your thinking feet.

Multiplayer looks like it would be a lot of fun.

Oh, and if anyone is wondering, it plays in 16X9 (although the actual brain games are contained in a box with a boarder) and 480p.

Fun game. I bought 2 at CC for $60. :)

I would recommend it. It just seems over-priced at $50 so far tho. It's sorta like Geometry Wars on the 360 in that it's a really fun game, but you wouldn't pay $50 for it.

Good game so far, though I absolutely suck at Odd One Out.

I like how the Miis mingle outside. Having Hitler or Cheney just walking amongst the crowd of Miis is cool. If I'm not mistaken I think it takes Miis from the parade, too, which I don't really like to have mine dwarfed by the thousand Miis in my parade.

For the people that have this, we should have each other's friend code so we can track each other's result, compete, and stuff. I mean, might as well right?

I had just successfully resisted the urge to get this game at CC, but then I come home and see that keychain. fuck. I'm a sucker for keychains.

Takes 4-6 weeks to arrive after you complete the survey and the order. Not bad. It's not like I need another keychain, my Tekken Dark Resurrection keychain's working fine, for now.

It uses the Wii Friends list to send out records. I think you're on mine, so feel free to send me yours today and I'll get mine sent out when I get back from class around 6 PM.

It seems that you can only send out 10 a day. You can use the d-pad to navigate the friends list.

I'll have the game tomorrow ( assuming CC has it in stock) and I'll be sure to send the thing out.

Cool, I look forward to getting some more records before I get some friends to play the game.

I like the encouragement coach that uses the speaker to give you audio high fives.

I like the online set-up. It uses the Wii friends list, it can let you know who has the game (if you tell it to autocheck), and it seems to be fairly self-explanatory.

Are they still doing buy 2 get 20 off, or did you have a gift card/coupon?

I bought it yesterday but haven't opened it yet...but yeah, I too am a sucker for random free crap.

Yeah, it explains it when you go to the send record section of the office.

I saw this 3 pack on ebay for $8 shipped

The official Nintendo one lights up though, and it appears like you can get them from the Nintendo World store. I bet they sell out fast.

So $40 at CC.. I may have to give in on all the online score hoopla and keychain madness.

Indeed it does use the friends list. In fact, the game already told me that you have it as well since you're on my list :)

My wife and I had a good time playing the 2 player vs. mode. Normally it's hard to get her to play much, but she jumped right in on this game. That alone is worth the purchase price for me since it's a very, very rare occasion. Of course, I was able to score the game for $30 thanks to the Circuit City sale, buy 2 get $20 off, and a friend wanting it as well. Can't imagine paying the full $50, but $30 is just about right.

Strange. It's not showing that anybody has it for me.

Edit: I went back to the channel screen and I got a message telling me that you enrolled in the academy. I guess you have to restart the game or something for it to show up. At that point, it bumps up those that have the game up to the top of the list. Nice.

No coupon needed. Deal still on.
No coupon needed. Deal still on.
Weird that it is still on but not advertized - it isn't in the Sunday ad anyway (the save $20 on 2 games thing).

I also have a $15 off $100 coupon (one of the good ones that allows game purchases). I wasn't planning on buying this game, but things could get interesting .
Sent out my first record to everyone on my FC that has this game.
You'll have to send again once I let my Wii know that I have this game tonight.

Will do.

For some reason, I got three messages saying that you had the game. I sent mine to you.

About getting new scroes, do they automatically send it out themselves via WiiConnect 24 or do I have to send you another message? Also, I just slightly edged out your score FriskyTanuki. :)
