Gamezebo review:

"Overall, Agatha Christie 4:50 From Paddington is another excellent contribution to the mystery author's hidden object library. The searches are well constructed and there are enough intriguing twists in the expected gameplay to keep it all feeling fresh."

Pros: Nice handling of the source material. Lovely graphics, fun twists on the gameplay.

Cons: Repetitious, a bit stingy with hints.

Rating: 4.0 out of 5 stars; Average player rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Gamezebo review:

"Mysterious Travel: The Magic Diary isn't a great game. On a good day it's a good game, but most of the time it probably shades closer to average. Even its length, which will top out at a couple of hours for most players, is squarely in the middle of the road. It's not something that's likely to end up on anyone's "must play" list. But that doesn't mean it's not worth playing, and anyone with an urge for uncomplicated, old-school hidden object searches and the patience to make it to the payoff at the end may very well find themselves enjoying it even more than they expected."

Pros: Simple, straightforward hidden object searching without a lot of distractions

Cons: Very one-dimensional, and the occasionally wonky English can be off-putting

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars; Average player rating: 2.0 out of 5 stars.

Gamezebo review:

"If it's just a simple solitaire fix that you're after, Gunslinger Solitaire will do the trick. But with so-so production values, a virtually non-existent story, and some substantial gameplay flaws, it doesn't hold a candle to more polished examples of the genre, like Big Fish Games' golf-themed Fairway Solitaire."

Pros: Unique Wild West theme. Fun Trigger Happy Bonus.

Cons: Not challenging enough. Atrocious Tin Can Range mini-game. Little replay value. So-so production values. Story virtually non-existent.

Rating: 2.0 out of 5 stars; Average player rating: 3.0 out of 5 stars.

Hey uh I know you're the only guy to ever post in this thread but if I may interrupt: My wife LOVES fairway solitaire and has played the crap out of it. Sounds like Gunslinger is not that great but, do you know of any other solitaire game (perhaps sold by Big Fish) that is perhaps the runner up to fairway?

Gamezebo review:

"Salem Witch Trials plays a lot like The Edgar Allen Poe Conspiracy --with dark, beautiful graphics, a compelling story, and a solid mixture of HOG and point and click adventure elements -- but also fixes most of the issues the first game had. The puzzles are more logical this time around and the HOG scenes don't feature clues with multiple solutions. All this amounts to a wonderfully spooky game that, while a little on the easy side, is still incredibly enjoyable. Salem Witch Trials manages to overcome the sophomore curse and offer up an experience that's even better than the original."

Pros: Dark, moody atmosphere. Compelling story. Nice mixture of point-and-click adventure and HOG. Haunting soundtrack.

Cons: Puzzles and HOG sections are a little too easy.

Rating: 4.0 out of 5 stars; Average player rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Gamezebo review:

"However, these nitpicks don't bear too much weight in light of everything the game does right, from extremely polished presentation to fun gameplay, two game modes (story and endless, broken into three difficulty levels), and a "sweet" awards system that rewards in-game milestones with mouth-watering chocolates kept in a decorative box. In short, if you're jonesing for your next taste of chocolate (or your next time management challenge), The Great Chocolate Chase: A Chocolatier Twist is more than enough to satisfy your sweet tooth (or your clicking finger)."

Pros: Polished production values. Interesting scenery, machines and customers. Two modes. In-game achievements and quests. Stays true to Chocolatier franchise.

Cons: Hard to read story font. Shop upgrades have no impact on gameplay. Lose upgrades upon changing location. Some imprecise clicking.

Rating: 4.0 out of 5 stars; Average player rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Gamezebo review:

"Rather than popping marbles, twisting hexagons, or swapping gems, Dragon Portals, a new match-three game from veteran casual game studio MythPeople, has players dropping colored orbs from the back of one flying dragon to another in an effort to match up three or more similarly-hued spheres. Apart from this one twist, and better-than-average art direction, it’s a fairly run-of-the-mill puzzler."

Pros: Solid match-three puzzle concept. Environments feel like colorful, interactive paintings. Asian-themed score is compelling and dynamic.

Cons: Can start feeling monotonous in a jiffy. Power-ups, though well-executed, are unoriginal. Bonus modes merely offer more of the same.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars; Average player rating: 2.0 out of 5 stars.

Hexalot is an older game, thus Gamezebo did not cover it. On iWin, the average user review is 4.5 stars out of 5.

I played this game when it came out several years ago and it was quite fun.

Here is the description from Big Fish:

Experience ever-changing levels with thousands of solutions! You can even save your games. Enjoy enchanting music and beautiful medieval inspired graphics for hours of puzzle fun. Hurry up, before King Arthur's realm is lost forever!

  • A mind-bending puzzle game.
  • Captivating gameplay.

Gamezebo review:

"Golden Trails: The New Western Rush has so much going for it that you won't really mind that its story doesn't make that much sense, that the sheriff's investigation seems a bit haphazard, or that the voice acting is pretty universally terrible. There are a few language flubs, too, such as lines of dialog missing words, and a few typos here and there. The item searches are all image-based, though, so it never gets in the way of the gameplay. Just stay focused on finding the objects and collecting the trophies, and you'll be just fine."

Pros: Tons to do. Great item searches. Fun trophies.

Cons: Bad voice acting. Weak story.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars; Average player rating: 4.0 out of 5 stars.

Gamezebo review:

"The first in a planned series of adventures starring the feisty, freckled (and rather oddly-named) Epiphany O'Day, Secrets of the Dragon Wheel is a solid but unremarkable hidden object game packed with adventure, intrigue and murder most foul. There's some good fun to be found within but hidden object veterans would be well-advised to go in with tempered expectations, as it has very little to offer that hasn't been seen before."

Pros: High production values and some very appealing level design

Cons: Gets repetitive in later levels. Uneven voice-acting.

Gamezebo review:

"The play has been so expertly executed and with such artistic verve that I really doubt many people will begrudge this sequel’s lack of original concepts. If you’re a fan of match-three games, Fishdom 2’s intuitive design, relaxed pace, and visual and auditory stylings are almost certain to appeal."

Pros: Excellent audio and visual design. Familiar objectives and intuitive interface. Creating scenes in themed tanks is fun. Lots of extras, including screensavers, desktop art, and access to the game’s great soundtrack.

Cons: Little innovation. Not much in the way of a narrative.

Rating: 4.0 out of 5 stars; Average player rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Gamezebo review:

"Redrum: Times Lies is "horrible," and that's what makes it a whole lot of fun. The gameplay can start to feel repetitive after awhile, but it's very well put-together and the outstanding production values help keep it feeling fresh. But ultimately, it's the dark take on the hidden object genre that really makes this game interesting. Most hidden object games are sanitized and safe, so that even those built around murder most foul tend to stay within kid-friendly boundaries, but you'll find no such protection here. Redrum: True Lies is macabre and grotesque, the sort of game your teenage son would be proud to see you play. In this case, that's a good thing."

Pros: A complete departure from the usual family-friendly fare of hidden object games.

Cons: Occasional glitches during startup. Content is definitely not appropriate for all audiences.

Rating: 4.0 out of 5 stars; Average player rating: 4.0 out of 5 stars.

Gamezebo review:

"All in all, Lost in Reefs is a beautiful piece of work which is more fun to play than your regular build-a-city match-3 installment. However, don’t expect any development on the story during the whole course of your adventure, probably making the game quite stale if you’re just keeping on with all the levels without any storyline to back up all your efforts."

Pros: Build an underwater city, unique mix of three famous match-3 gameplays, explosive graphics, smooth controls

Cons: Power-ups are too random, no storyline developments during play

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars; Average player rating: 3.0 out of 5 stars.

Gamezebo review:

"For hundreds of years, classical music has provided fans young and old the world over with a safe, uplifting source of pleasure and enjoyment. Now it gets its own game in Musaic Box, a mix of hidden object and logic-based puzzle-solving mindbenders. Albeit easy on the ears and a pleasure to look at though, the title’s not what we’d call especially fun or full or surprises. As such, it’s the sort of outing you might tinker with from time to time, but won’t feel any pressing reason to come back to save to enjoy the occasional toe-tapping ditty."

Pros: Classical soundtrack; Multiple gameplay styles; Attractive visuals; Variety of musical interludes

Cons: Light on pressure and excitement; Poor translation; Little long-term value; Frustratingly-placed clues; More curiosity than compelling adventure

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars; Average player rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Thanks, I showed her these, well after Gunslinger is no longer $2.99 and you know what picks? Yes Gunslinger. We're all on this board so you know slight sting I felt using a free game code on something I could have had for just $2.99 but oh well, wife is happy. Imight pick up another one of these anyway while everything;s $4.99.

[quote name='Otty Ott']Solitaire Kingdom Supreme, Heartwild Solitaire 1 & 2, Avalon Legends, Faerie Solitaire and Soccer Cup Solitaire are all pretty good solitaire games. Better than Gunslinger. Fairway Solitaire is still my favorite, too.

Gamezebo review:

"But perfect it is not. The Lost Cases of 221B Baker Street does have both a "timed" or "relaxed" option, but items are always in the same place per level, therefore hurting its replayability. But in the game's defense, there are 16 cases to solve, which is terrific. One of my favorites is related to Jack the Ripper, where an expert on the serial killer is murdered himself before the opening of an exhibit at a wax museum."

Pros: Very good HOG with many ancillary puzzles. Well-written dialogue, familiar characters and good voice acting. Sixteen cases to solve. Good use of detective theme. Improved graphics and magnifying glass from first game. Choice of timed or relaxed play.

Cons: Item list is the same each playthrough, which hurts replayability somewhat.

Rating: 4.0 out of 5 stars; Average player rating: 3.0 out of 5 stars.

Gamezebo review:

"Novel hint system notwithstanding, gamers looking for something new or innovative aren't going to find much of interest here. In gameplay terms, it's entirely unoriginal and doesn't even try to bring anything new to the table. On the other hand, it looks and sounds great and it's a lot of fun to play, so if you're not concerned with breaking new ground and just want a good, solid hidden object game, Time Mysteries: Inheritance could be exactly what you're after."

Pros: Great production values. Lots of hidden object scenes. Unique and fun hint system.

Plus, as you advance through Championship mode, additional music tracks, backgrounds and colorful card designs are unlocked, a neat bonus."

Gamezebo review:

"Robinson Crusoe and the Cursed Pirates is a stunner of a game; the hand-drawn art is beautifully detailed and the pirates themselves each feel like distinct individuals, rather than just The Next Guy On The List. My own sole regret is that the game felt like it was over almost before it began, though that has more to do with how much fun it is to play rather than it genuinely being too short. (But, hey, if the developers would like to make a sequel, I'm not about to complain!)"

Pros: Great sense of humor. Fantastic visuals. Clever spins on object searches.

Cons: Sometimes a bit unclear.

Gamezebo review:

"This kind of oddball video game is right up my alley and I'll be the first to admit that, objectively speaking, I like this one a lot more than I should. Lost in the City: Post Scriptum clearly isn't for everyone. But if you have a taste for strange tales, and the patience to put up with some occasional roughness, it's definitely worth a look. You probably won't find yourself gushing over what a great game it is, but you might just be surprised at how much you like it anyway."

Pros: Unique, engaging story. Simple gameplay keeps things moving forward.

Cons: Dated graphics. Not very challenging and deeply weird, which some players may not care for.

Gamezebo review:

"Ghost of the Mystery Stone may not have many puzzles or minigames, but the ones it does have are well-executed and inventive – even if they don't always make a whole lot of sense. With a mere 30 days before he turns to stone and a long ocean voyage ahead of him, Columbus probably shouldn't be taking time out to paint an accurate rendition of his ship the Pinta, but it makes for a fun minigame, so who cares?"

Pros: Beautiful graphics. Excellent aesthetic.
