Speaking of Amazon matching Black Friday prices do you think they will match the $78.00 Blu-ray player Walmart has? That really the only thing I am interested in on BF and I dont really want to got to Walmart just for that.

nice i thought wolverine was alright... for $10 fuck it lol. ima get that and fast and furious. hope amazon matches so i dont have to go out ha

Amazon doesn't have this item in stock as of now. Judging by the reviews though, its hit and miss with this Blu-Ray player. I'd spend the extra $70, if you have it, on the Panasonic or Sony. Just to be safe.

Does anyone know if Best Buy will actually have the House MD seasons for 12.99 like Target, or is what is in there ad is it no other sales.
Any word on the best place to pick up the new Star Trek movie on BluRay?
Seems like almost everyone is going $19.99 or so on it this week.

Walmart with Harry Potter 1-5 for $10 each and $2 DVDs. Sold.

Anyone familiar with how quickly Walmart sells out of movies? I know last year at Target the movies lasted a long time.
The Matrix on Blu-ray for $12.99 - is that the whole box set?
Doubtful.

I'm hoping Amazon will try to match a few of these deals. I could go for some Braveheart / Gladiator for $10, and maybe some Khan - but its not worth braving it at a B&M for a few bucks.
While I was at a Target yesterday, I noticed that the Target Exclusive 'Gone with the Wind' 1 Disc :br: was marked at $39.99 normally!!

No. It's the 10th Anniversary 'Digibook' edition of the first movie only seen here:
Oh, silly me. :p I wish they would also have the Batman (1989) on sale too. :(
Basically, Amazon pricematched every other deal that each of the major retailers had or had a price close to it.

For example, Bestbuy had all of the Entourge sets for $10 until Noon. Amazon had them online Thanksgiving Day night for the same price.

Bestbuy for example will have most of the stuff for Black Friday that's on sale all day available on www.bestbuy.com on Thanksgiving Day. Select doorbusters will be on there also.

Best thing is to shop early and know what you want before you get there. The reason why is that a lot of people will be doing the same thing you are and looking around may cost you the ability to get what you want.

Beware though that when you order that you really want the items cause some places won't let you cancel your order once you make it that day.
In case people missed this earlier in the thread.

I managed to get BB doorbusters from BB.com on Thursday morning, plus some other non-advertised items, like Supernatural S3 on BR for $22.99.

I'd recommend checking Amazon at midnight PT as well as BB.com at midnight - 2AM CT on Turkey Day. Above and beyond the usual Friday midnight PT for Amazon and the like.

I also did what shrike did last year. Set my alarm for 1:50 CST, got all of my web pages ready and made all of my purchases at Best Buy and Amazon as soon as the clock hit 2. I was back to bed by 2:15. Worked very well.

same here
Here's J&R's Black Friday DVD/Blu deals. You can actually order them now:

http://www.jr.com/promotion/listCon...ayDVDBlowout2009&subFolder=399BlackFridayDVDs
Cross-check Amazon before you decide to jump on any of these deals. Ghost Rider on BR, for example, is $16.99 at J&R but $7.99 on Amazon.
Tritto.
You luck out with these 12AM PT starts for sales, since you're a few hours behind that. :D

I believe the $12.99 Wizard of Oz :br: at Target is the Emerald edition.

Every Target around me shows as having it in-stock, but there are none on the floor, only 'in the back'

DPCI for the WOZ :br: is 057300050
Does Wal-Mart still price match? If so, will they price match Doorbuster prices from Best Buy?
If it's in the correct time frame, yes Walmart will PM any BF ad of a local competitor as long as you have proof of it. I PM'd ads from BB and Game Crazy last year.

I was just at a Blockbuster which was having the going out of business sale, picked up a dvd and game plus some free ps3 cases, but the clerk told me that all the BBV that are closing are having a deal on black friday for any remaining new dvds for 5.00 each.

I'm going to file this under the YMMV deal at the moment unless someone else can back me up with like info from their store.

I went to Target today and pre-bought all the items movie and game wise that I wanted from the BF ad. Price adjustments are valid for 7 days after your purchase and I have an email from Target Guest Services that says there are no exclusions for this policy with the 2 Day Sale. So like last year I just have to go in and have them do price adjustments on my entire receipt.

Oh Wow. looks like I will be doing the same today. Thanks for the info.

When I went to the nearest walmart to ask about price matching, they told me that they will only price match if its a b&m store within 25 miles of that store hahahah
I used to pm internet ads at walmart and fye but they no longer do that.
No internet price matching for me anymore :(

Friday the 13th: Killer Cut is $7.99 at Amazon, so its $1 more than whatever Best Buy or Target is selling it for. It's possible they could lower it, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Yeah, I jumped on Quantum of Solace Blu-Ray for that price.

They're offering Wolverine for $10 later on, which is also a good deal. Not the best movie, but the price is right.

I'd be fucking hilarious if unlike last year they didn't allow it.
i bet more stores won't and honestly...why should they? if you want BF deals get your ass up or use amazon. Simple.

I heard TRU may be closing their CS on BF to avoid the douchebag price adjusters alltogether.:applause::lol:
Is there any scrubs seasons 1-8 deals?
I could have swore there was but I can't find it now. I'm looking for S8 and Amazon has it for about $18 right now
Yeah, I jumped on Quantum of Solace Blu-Ray for that price.

Also jumped on Valkyrie @ $14.99 as Amazon is matching BB's sale on it.

TRU doesn't PM, so the only way you could do any price matching would be as a return-and-repurchase. By that rule, you could do it, though TRU could always tell you that their CS desk is closed for those two days.

Regardless, WM will happily PM anything with ad proof during BF weekend, so you can always go there. They've been advertising it in their TV ads.

I said PRICE ADJUST not price match. There is a difference.

I didn't start getting blu-ray movies until recently, did Amazon have really good deals last year?

Man, switching between games and movies is going to killer for my browser this Friday.

Actually I've heard that Target won't be price adjusting for black friday prices due to a corporate telling them not to. They say it's because the black friday ads have already "leaked", and so they won't be price adjusting.

ymmv though, but honestly they seem to be pretty strict about it this year.

I really hoping Amazon will pm WM's Harry Potter 1-5 on Blu. I went to customer service at my local WM and they said they will not be pm'ing or price adjusting on friday.
