MISC SALES & INFO FOR SPECIAL SALES LEADING UP TO BLACK FRIDAY/CYBER MONDAY:
Amazon:
  • The start of the holiday shopping season begins Saturday, when Amazon (AMZN) will cut Halloween revelry short by kicking off holiday deals, moving up the usual shopping kickoff day by nearly a month.

While Amazon has typically started holiday deals at the beginning of November, this year will feature more products and frequent deals, says spokeswoman Julie Law. Amazon will increase its deal of the day feature to include two daily deals from Nov. 1 until Dec. 22.

Amazon will also increase the frequency and number of products available as "lightning deals" from Nov. 1 until the official, post-Thanksgiving Black Friday weekend. Lightning deals are products that go on sale for a limited amount of time each day; closer to Black Friday, deals go up every 10 minutes, Law says.

SEARS:

  • This is the first year Sears (SHLD) will offer Black Friday deals two weeks early during a friends and family sale Nov. 9. Some apparel, appliances, tools and footwear will be available at a steeper "Black Friday" discount on top of the 5% to 15% discount that's part of the friends and family event, the company says.
OFFICE DEPOT/OFFICE MAX:
  •  Office Depot (ODP) and OfficeMax will also start holiday deals this weekend, with savings on laptops and touchscreen computers from Nov. 2-15. The stores will also have Cyber Monday deals every Monday in November, the company said Thursday.
WAL-MART:

I appreciate their effort, but considering just how many Prime members there are, the 30 minutes will still be a mad f5ing rush. Better than fighting crowds, though, that's for sure.

It's fucked up these places are opening earlier with each passing year. I guarantee most of them (at least Wal-Mart since they are by far the greediest) will be open on Christmas eve and day 24/7 within 5 years. I know the people indulging these places should be the ones at fault since their sales just encourage them but really these companies shouldn't do that.

This. More like if you don't have prime your chance of getting something good is zero.

OP Updated with announcement target made today:

  • Starting now Oct 22, 2014 through December 20th, Get Free shipping on all target.com orders.

i was thinking i should but wasnt sure since nothing big been released yet do you think i should pm Htz and ask him to move it there? cause i always keep my threads updated as most people who active on here already know
I rather you have this in their because we know you keep everything updated. I say see what he says.

I don't have permission to sticky this thread, and getting approval from CheapyD will be a problem since he is away for awhile. As I said to dreamer in our PM, we usually have a dedicated thread for each retailer.

Anyone else starting to get sick of Black Friday? Maybe I'm just getting jaded as I get older, but I'm close to the point where I have pretty much everything I could ever want. Hell I still have plenty of games and Blu Rays from Black Fridays past still sealed that I haven't had time to do anything with yet. Bah humbug!

welp, my tv just went RIP tonight so i will be on the look out for a good tv deal from now til black friday

RIP LG 50 inch tv, you lasted a decent 3 and a half years

Just got an email from Wal-Mart about some of their 'deals'... nothing really good there. Just them trying to pawn off 12 gb PS3's. Now at $179, down from $199 from last year, along with some other stuff.

Nice try you guys, but no cigar.

Do you guys expect any good Wii U deals this Black Friday? The bundle packages that they currently offer with 2 games and the Wii U is enticing me to get one now, and if the sale ends up being only a couple bucks cheaper, I think I'd rather purchase one now.

Anyone know if Uniqlo has good deals during black friday and such ? Several stores opened in Philly recently and I am ready to go all out.
